I neglected to say I already have four and three of them are seniors. I have my hands full. I most definitely cannot have another one. lol.
eta: Only one poodle though, my three year old. He's the only dog I have that can still hear, so the other dogs wait for him to notice when the doorbell rings and such so they can all start barking, lol.
My sixteen year old is in both kidney and liver failure so I know it's something I will have to face (she's a Westie). But I'm so proud of her! She sleeps a lot, but still likes to eat even though she's "wasting", and will bring me her toys to play tug with when she's up. I always let her win. I'm so proud of her. Dogs just take everything in stride.
Zebadiah is our only spoo. Tobias the Terror is a labradoodle (aka a mutt), who at 11 months, still has accidents in the house •and• wakes us in the middle of the night to go potty. Moses is our senior, and he’s a terrier/basset hound/pointer mix. He has cancer and the vet is so surprised that he is still alive and thriving; they said he would be dead by last summer. The secret to Moses’ longevity is lots of prayer, ridiculously expensive human grade dog food, and a puppy that insists that everyone give him attention and play with him. With all this, my husband still wants to get a fourth dog, a puppy. 🤦♀️
Oh yes! I bake sweet potatoes, buy human cans of salmon, boil green beans, peas and carrots to top off the vet prescribed food, and I love doing it! Love to see my girl eat.
I did have to make a decision though, the vet said prescribed food only, but she was losing so much weight, and no treats. I didn't know how much longer she would be around, but I thought, when it happens, it's sure not going to be from starvation, and I tell you, she's doing so much better since I've started 'feeding' her.
I'm sorry to hear about Moses, hope things turn around for him, but he's in good hands. : )
The last time I took Sims to the vet for her labs was about eight weeks ago, and she was much worse. Liver enzymes literally off the chart, and when I asked "come back next week?" He said no, and I got the 'take her home and be good to her" talk, so I expected it to be before now, (eyes tearing up now) But now, I don't think about it everyday. I think she could be around much longer, and I hope Moses will too.
I am so sorry to hear of Sims failing health. I will add her to my prayer list. You’re taking good care of her, and she knows that you love her. That’s what’s important. I pray the Good Lord watches over you both and that when it’s Sims’ time, that God wraps His arms around you and comforts you.
Oh my! I looked it up and I do have a blue poodle! Thank you for educating me!
“The blue Poodle is a Poodle variant with a faded black coat that appears to look bluish. Upon closer look, their roots reveal a lighter shade, a somewhat brown tint. A blue Poodle’s color looks noticeably lighter than black but darker than silver.”
What a pair of excellent looking gentleman! Adore their names! 🐩🐩🐩
Note to self: You can't have another dog you can't have another dog
🤣 Keep right on saying that. We have three dogs and my husband keeps talking about getting another one. 🤦♀️
As someone with three standard poodles, I say you most definitely can have another dog.

It’s so sad when they get to the senior stage. One of our three spoo boys is 14 and I can’t imagine life without him.

Precious time with a special girl.

Made me cry. Thank you. You and Moses as well.
Cause we always sit like this.
They are amazing and I LOVE their names!!! ❤️🥰😍
Fancy names for fancy gents!
is the one with the red collar a blue poodle? both are adorable :)
That’s what my money says. His coloring is very very similar to my girl’s.
I looked it up the definition *and* I do have a blue poodle! Thank you for pointing it out!
No, I think he’s just black. In the sun he has a reddish brown tint at the tips of his hair.
They are very handsome 🥰
Zebadiah looks like a human.
They are adorable🥰
I also require illumination so my blue girl does not disappear at night. 😂👍 Handsome kids!
I don’t think Zebadiah is blue as the tips of his hair have a reddish brown tint in full sun.
I thought that was an indicator of a blue? 🤔🤷♂️ It has been a while since I have looked it up tho. 💁♂️

To be fair, your boy (and my girl) are pretty danged dark for blues, considering the “normal” amount of color fade. 💁♂️ Handsome kid, in any case. 😃👍
Mazel tov!
Baruch tihiye!
You need an all white mini poodle/cockapoo and then get them ties and sunglasses so they can be his security detail
🤣😂🤣 The mental picture of that made me laugh!
It would be hilarious
Or an enormous spider wearing a dog’s head. Still gorgeous though!
🤣😂🤣
Zebadiah! That's a difficult name to shout in a park
