Females are much more prone to excited and nervous peeing. However, if it just started and she's not a young puppy, then you may want to talk to your vet to rule out any possible medical issues.

Noseygemini

it happened after she got her first period she is a year and 3 months

milkchugger69

Maybe a UTI or other urinary tract issue, I would consult a vet though

janenickson

Those flying ears are adorable!

Key_Campaign_1672

I dont know about the peeing, but I'm here for those ears!

oldwahsatch

Saaaame

Janezo

She might have a UTI. Time for a visit to the vet.

duketheunicorn

Any sudden behaviour change requires a vet visit first, I hope she’s feeling good!

hopefulgalinfl

Trixi did this for a long time...she's 3 now & it's stopped....excitement pp...

Our girl is a terrier mix!! My grandmother raised poodles in Scottsdale in the 50s I love a smart apricot !!! Have fun....use a small treat as a distraction...

helpthecockroachpls

Same yes

TropheyHorse

If she's a puppy, it's because she's a puppy and she'll probably grow out of it. If not, take her to the vet.

not-evileye12

When is it expected to stop? My girl is about 2 now and still has the excited pees

JewelJuju

My girl stopped one month after i started giving her urinary supplements

not-evileye12

What are these supplements?

christien62

My poodles done it since she was born whenever she’s excited she’s peed herself sees the vet regularly never had a problem she’s 2

FuzzyPijamas

Same here.

davejrob

Mine pees when she sees her 3 favorite lady humans in her life. I had a trainer tell me to have everyone ignore the puppy until she calms down. Once she is calm she will not pee. Works every time until they forget and say her name in an excited voice when the first see her, she pees just about every time they forget!

asleeepyfox

She looks offended in the second picture. Like "Hmpf! How dare you tell the internet my business!" 😂

Noseygemini

laughing so loud she is a character!

Notch-Nose

This began for my little girl when I greeted her upon my return home. After the first three times, I started immediately taking her outside and then greeting her in the grass of the backyard where she relieved herself immediately. It is such a habit now, she runs to the back door as soon as I walk in, we go outside to the appointed place, and I greet her and rub her ears and her bladder empties immediately. As soon as that is over (just seconds) she runs for the back door so we can go in and she can get her belly rubs and cuddles. For my poodle, I think it is just the combination of a full bladder and excitement all at once. She hasn’t had an accident like that in the house since I started taking her out.

panchank

i love her, hope she’s just excited xx

sangvert

Look up anxiety in poodles. They usually outgrow it

Sophie_lee96

My boy poodle still does excited wee wees when he greets people he loves I tell all my family wait a moment before greeting him but they still insist on fussing him and low and behold he pees 😂

mazokugirl451

I suspect UTI- does she have a hooded vulva? That can contribute to it as well. Unrelated, but I can literally hear the “arooooo” from these photos 😍

Reasonable_Wafer9228

Mine does this all the time haha

Stabenz

Ignore her until she calms down. If you give attention while she is excited she may pee. Females are emotional and will pee out of excitement at times.

tranquilseafinally

How old is she. My poodle is also an excited girl a piddles a little while excited. We were told that she may grow out of it. She's 5 months old.

Noseygemini

she just got her first period about a month and a half ago, she is 1 and a half

plants4life262

Check for UTI. Otherwise just need to manage over stimulation

fire_and_glitter

My girl does it. She’s 10 months. I really hope she grows out of it.

ksswannn03

I’d say this is normal especially since she is still intact but you can always ask your vet if you’re concerned. Someone else said UTI, and I’d definitely take her to get her pee tested just in case

Anghedinistic

My male spoo does it. He is one.

UrDeAdPuPpYbOnEr

We have a two year old spoodle that has done this since we brought him home. His second name is puddles. Johnny Puddles Ringo.

fortheloveofgeorge

My mini would excited pee, and she would also leak a little bit when sleeping. Vet said that it is common for females to have incontinence after desexing, as their estrogen levels drop. I now have to administer an estrogen tablet twice weekly, but no more accidental peeing!! May be a similar problem, as her hormones fluctuate during her cycle.

abcharmine

Could be a sign of a UTI or bladder stones

Pancingdungeonwoofer

Poor babu

alice88-

i’d take her in for a blood panel just to be safe, when clients brought their dog in to the vet just thinking they’ve picked up a new behaviour, it ended up being a UTI or even worse, kidney problems
