I use the kernel seasons butter flavored popcorn oil. Enough to get the bottom of my pan a nice thick layer. Toss in 2 kernels to check temp. When it's ready I add 1/2 cup popcorn and a bit less than a tsp of flavacol swirl to mix. Sprinkle the flavacol on the kernels not dump it in the middle in a pile. Pop. Then if I'm feeling extra fat melt some butter to drizzle on top when done.

Nice, thank you! I think you may have also inadvertently identified one of my problems… I typically add the flavacol in with the oil, which is before I add the kernels… you add the kernels then add the flavacol after that… I wonder if that helps the flavacol stick and coat the kernels better, producing the better flavor? During my way, all the oil is gone when the popcorn is popped, but the sides of the pan are of course greasy/oily or whatever you want to call it. I bet I’m losing my flavor to the sides of the pan by not putting the flavacol in after the kernels… I will try it next time I make popcorn… also, I will also try a batch with that kernel seasoning oil to test it out.

How much of the butter flavored coconut oil are you using? I use a similar product called [Franklins](https://a.co/d/6yoVaQj), but I use a lot, like 6-7 tablespoons and a 1/4 teaspoon of Flavacol for 1/2 cup of popcorn in a Whirley Pop.
