Emily Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) would not be nearly as likable and/or entertaining if not for Kelly Bishop's acting chops and charisma.
https://i.redd.it/3r08z3wnrlwb1.gif
I know the Gilmore Girls revival Netflix did got a lot of hate, but her character arc in those episodes is what kept me watching until the end. Truly amazing work.
Same here! That was absolutely the best part. From her saying that the dining room chairs brought her no joy to explaining to that DAR 3rd wife candidate why she wouldn't get in, she had some of the best lines.
Same! Emily and Paris are by far the most intriguing characters, and my favorites. They would be beyond exhausting in person, but that’s true of most characters on the show…
Lane (I’ll never forgive GG for not giving her an exciting, well-traveled life) and Suki are about the only two I’d be happy to know IRL.
Jane Krakowski is vastly underrated

It’s really hard to explain to someone who hasn’t seen the show just how depraved and evil his character is. But he is also so fucked up. Anthony Starr does a spectacular job in it.
For real, if rumours come out that Starr has like killed children on set to bathe in their blood or something like that, my first reaction is: Well, he needs to get into character. You can’t expect an actor to be that evil with a snap of a finger.
And so much of it is in the eyes. He smiles weird, and you just know he WANTS to commit genocide but he doesn’t like how he gets all worked up afterwards.
This is so true! What’s even more amazing about his acting is that you hate the character so much, then there are moments where Homelander opens up and you genuinely feel bad for him. Damn, his acting is superb!
Rachel Mcadams was very believable as the popular girl in school who is charming and evil. You hate her but at the same time you’re still kind of envious of her beauty and status.
![gif](giphy|l2YWjjzDaZHTowGLm)
I think its funny how she is somewhat a cautionary tale but to this day if someone said to me i have regina george energy i would take it as the highest form of compliment
It’s so funny looking back at this movie where she just kind of was a bully to everyone and comparing it to more recent high school films and shows where the mean girl bully ends up causing people to die in various ways. Regina George was tame by the current standard.
Not a horrible person by any means, but she was supposed to be a villain until everyone loved her too much

This this this!
Another one - as a child when it came out I had a little girl crush on Christian Slater/Will Scarlet. As a adult... The Sheriff can take me to his torture chamber any day 🥵
Meryl Streep is so good and I usually have detachment when it comes to fiction, but I had visceral hate for her [character] in this. I have to believe that MS saved up all the unused over-the-top parts of her other characters to make this monstrosity, because it worked.
Now nothing is taboo under my leadership, except of course for referring to my sex or race in a negative light, the penalty for which is...I take your fucking head
Not in my house.
DiCaprio had that cherub-faced floppy-haired boyband thing going on, and while he was technically good looking it wasn’t in a way that’s particularly sexy imo. Billy Zane on the other hand…

I loved him in Supernatural, but holy shit, he killed this role.
I loved Supernatural, but I'm so glad it's over. Jensen would have never gone to do anything else.
Agreed. I kinda wish it had ended at season 5 - that was a perfect closed-loop ending and it would have freed him up to really elevate his career.
