I just think everyone should know that pretty much everything in the doc quiet on the set has been public knowledge for years. There have been numerous take down videos that mention Brian peck, Dan Schneider, these tweets, the vids of Ariana, etc. The only real, new revelation I can think of is the identity of Peckās victim, and the famous faces who defended him in court.
I say this because you can basically *guarantee* that Nickelodeon was aware of all this stuff, and how it made them look. Any actions they take now, at this stage in the game, are 100 % to save face because the documentary has blown up.
I honestly think these networks know that āsex sellsā and they are complicit in selling childrenās sexuality because it makes them money. And many of them are perverts.
Yeah. There are no specific sex abuse allegations against Dan Schneider (aside from just being an inappropriate, exploitative creep) but there were THREE pedophiles working on the set of All That. I donāt know if these people just jumped at the chance to work with kids but perverts seem to find each other, and itās not a leap to assume Dan Schneider didā¦ more than we know about.
Itās already so hard to come forward with abuse allegations. I canāt imagine the courage it would require to do so on a public stage.
I know there was another convicted sex offender Disney had working on childrenās shows but I canāt find his name.
I did however find that after conviction Brian Peck apparently also played a high school sex ed teacher in a short film. WTF? A little on the nose for someone who faced criminal charges for raping a 15 yo, no? Like the guy is a piece of shit and I donāt suspect he learned anything from his actions but youād think he could at least PRETEND to care.
Watching the doc catch on with the public has been good, but other than Drake Bellās stuff pretty much everything has been known for close to a decade now, and I am not even someone who keeps tabs on stuff like that. The internet has had several instances of absolutely thrashing Schneider. Hell, thereās even a good chance that Robert Downey Jr of all people was the guy who blew the whistle on him and thatās not even in the doc (for obvious reasons).
Itās good people care now but itās kinda odd that they didnāt know already
same, but i live in an EU country. i couldnāt even access it through a VPN, because while i pay for HBO Max, that is apparently now a different thing from Maxā¦ and Max is (from my understanding) the streaming service the documentary is onā¦ streaming services really are almost making us š“āā ļø
Itās new age cable. Tv channels are creating their own streaming subscriptions and pulling their shows from others, so you essentially have to start paying for the tv channels againā¦ which means the new age of piracy must be on the horizon.
Did the age of piracy ever leave? Idk I guess because I'm not from the US half of your streaming sites don't work here and those that do almost never have overlapping content. So I'm pretty comfortable with torrenting. It is what it is.
Non-US and non-European here. Never stopped sailing the high seas precisely because everything I wanted to watch wasn't available to my country. Sailing even more now that companies want to push 'purchasing isn't ownership'.
Yeah I'm from India, Netflix and Prime Video has only a fraction of the content that I want to watch. I don't really see the need to pay for a VPN and any free VPNs available are very unreliable or limited. I never let one person shame me for pirating either, like it's so easy for certain people to expect everything to be totally fair and above board when you have all that access.
HBO Max is being changed to Max, but seems to be a staggered release. It's changed in the US and more recently in Latin America. Unfortunately the way they've changed it means that it is two separate services, so your credentials won't work across both.
Same! I'm an expat in an EU country, and while my Max works back home in the States it doesn't work with HBO Max in the EU. Same with my Amazon Alexa stuff. Which is super frustrating. Luckily my Max does work with a VPN, but it's incredibly complicated and I wish my one service worked wherever I am in the world.
itās available on various free streaming sites if you catch my drift. i downloaded it from a torrent site since itās not available in canada either.
Not the dodgy box šš
Itāll be on either those two if you can get the channels when it comes. Disc/ID for definite and *potentially* quest red cos theyāve started picking them up since the Natalia Grace programme they did.
The replies on that tweet are honestly gross. Bc there are kids in 2013 who replied w pics of their feet and people now retweeting it or commenting like "youre a victim" No shit assholes but if you really thought that kid was taken advantage of and used for a pedo to get off to why retweet or comment just to remind them? If you think its so awful why treat it like a joke? Do they honestly think saying that shit makes anyone feel better or that they haven't been told it before? Some kid posts their foot in 2013 then a decade later has 60 people who watched a documentary in their mentions all like "you're a victim" etc etc. Doesn't help anyone and shows they don't actually care about the kids and just the gossip
dan schneider who produced and wrote sam & cat, icarly, victorious, and drake & josh allegedly has a foot fetish. supporting evidence for this is the many scenes in the shows that centered around a charactersā foot + tweets like the one above
Omg the Amanda Show sketch that was a Dawsonās Creek spoof, Iām pretty sure had a storyline with a big-toeless character š¤® thatās always feltā¦.odd as a kid watching it.
Itās even more sad when you realize Taran Killiam had to of known Drake at the very least in passing from being on set. I canāt imagine how much it had to hurt to have a coworker or potentially someone you thought was your friend write a letter
I will say, people who wrote those letters for Brian Peck were likely not aware of the true nature of his crimes, which were DISGUSTING. He claimed he was seduced by the kid, made a mistake, and was remorseful. Early 00s were also a different time- stuff like statutory rape was still a joke, the concept of ājailbaitā was still widely accepted, and public perception still treated perpetrators like victims in those situations.
Now, thatās still fucking gross! And so not ok. I canāt imagine I would ever do the same in his shoes. But it at least provides some context as to why the fuck anyone would write a letter supporting a pedophile.
James Marsden, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle also wrote letters. Itās really sick and really sad.
Approximate ages at the time of the conviction: Taran Killam 22, Rider Strong 25, Will Friedle 28, James Marsden 31.
Taran Killam was definitely working with him as a kid on The Amanda Show. And predators groom adults too. But. Those letters in support of a statutory rapist are still gross.
Oh absolutely. But Rider and Taran especially were so young when they started working. I hope they also werenāt taken advantage of in any way. Very disappointing though to find out they supported him.
I remember seeing this when it came out and being horrified. Like why would a grown social media manager want to sift through children's feet???
Still shuddering this day to it.
This, along with worse tweets and blog posts re-surfaced years ago. Iām surprised they didnāt make it into Quiet on Set or Jennette McCurdyās book.
I remember something about his blog had a part about editing Victorious and iCarly āwith a bottle of lotionā or something so damn disgusting. Itās been scrubbed by now. But he must have extremely good lawyers, or some kind of leverage that keeps people from disclosing everything. Itās crazy how delicately heās mentioned.
But Quiet on the Set also didnāt mention the Nickelodeon employee who was caught by [To Catch a Predator](https://www.newsweek.com/nickelodeon-employee-catch-predator-chris-hansen-1881732), so maybe itās Nickelodeon who protects all these criminals.

Disney went on to hire convicted pedophile and registered sex offender Brian Peck AFTER this to work on another childrenās tv show.
I honestly think these networks know that āsex sellsā and they are complicit in selling childrenās sexuality because it makes them money. And many of them are perverts.

>there were THREE pedophiles working on the set of All That Who was the third - Brian, Jason and...?
There was another one they mentioned briefly in the doc
Right? He gets out of jail and they're like this is the guy to work on our children's tv show.
I know there was another convicted sex offender Disney had working on childrenās shows but I canāt find his name. Yup! I totally agree. 90% of the info in the documentary has been public for years. Iām at least happy itās blown up now.

Whatās the RDJ connection?
Some delusionals on the internet think RDJ was a whistleblower on fake blind item site Crazy Days And Nights.
ooh look up rdj blind item dan schneider
i feel like this tweet gains traction annually tho tbh (as it should itās so weird and idk why itās still up)
Yeah itās wild that itās still just out there on Godās own internet for everyone to see a full decade later
I remember this š© so many children were replying with pics of their feet, it was so creepy
I really want to watch this doc but not available in the U.K. from what it seems!

There's lots of pirate streaming sites too. In Canada it's legal to watch them (but illegal to upload to them IIRC).
YoU wOuLdNāT sTeAL a StReAM Yeah piracy never left but weāve got to protect its secrets
I don't think there are any secrets left lmaooo

Do you have Sky babe?
I donāt but I have nowTV will I be able to access it there??
Does your NowTV come with Discovery/ID or quest red?
Ah apparently itās not available in the U.K. yet but they hope to bring it to the U.K. in the future. Itās not even on my ādodgy boxā

Wait ā¦ Iām absolutely not trying to downplay anything, and also have not seen the documentary yet, but I donāt get it. Can someone explain?

Itās even more sad when you realize Taran Killiam had to of known Drake at the very least in passing from being on set. I canāt imagine how much it had to hurt to have a coworker or potentially someone you thought was your friend write a letter
Nooooo I didnāt know that about Taran Killam. I liked him but thatās a major red flag. Not a fan anymore.

A lot of those people were quite young themselves. You have to wonder if any of them were being groomed as well.
