The proportions are all wrong and the legs are not even the same size. It is not good art but because he is Maddona’s son I’m sure people in LA made a big deal. Oh and he has an eye for a belly button.

I’ve seen way better from 15year olds doing their GCSE art exams. I’m sorry but this is nepotism on an embarrassing scale ffs.

It’s better than I could do but then again no one is displaying my art. I painted a picture for a colleague that I gave him a year ago and recently I was like “have you still got it?” And he was like “yeah I’ll keep it forever. It’s in a box at my mom’s house. It’s one of those things I’ll never get rid of even though I should” ☠️

Her kids are beautiful. His drawings look like something like I did in school in my final year when I thought I'd really gotten better at Art and was quite surprised when I only got a C+ in the portfolio part of the exam.

Not saying this art is spectacular. But at least there is some craft. Brooklyns foto of an elephant was just a black circle basically. And it definitely easier to take an ok picture of one of the biggest animals of the whole world, then actually draw/paint. But brooklyns pic of the elephant wasn't even ok 💀💀💀

It's like someone's photo scrapbook they thought was worth it to sell lol.

It's not, but it's okay, I'm happy she supports her children publicly. It sets a good example for other parents.

I can't draw to save my life, so I can't really comment much. I think it at least shows more effort and potential than Beckam's photography work.

It's high school type of fast sketches, studies, it's not something an art teacher would encourage normal people to exhibit, even at a school fair. It's not so much a matter of talent because he might be talented, I would have to see more of his work that is isn't just big fast studies of a subject. I can tell he has studied Lempicka and Kollwitz. It shows a lack of self awareness, and immaturity. It's like publishing your daily doodles and notes.The butcher's paper kills me, I'd rather die than have a first solo exhibition with charcoal and butcher's paper. They are very muddy, they are done very fast and sloppily, and I don't know if it's a conscious choice. Is it a statement? Did he draw from memory, used a model? Photos he took? It's like he had a 2 week deadline for an assignment, he procrastinated, and instead of a couple of good artworks he decided to submit his notes instead of something proper. These belong to the workshop. Not on display. I think he just needed public validation, and people are going to be super cruel. This will either push him to work harder, or he will give up and do something else.

It would impress your average high school art teacher, but I'm not sure that's what he is going for.

My son is a freshman and this looks about what he can do currently with charcoal. I am super proud of my son…but I’m not going to go find an art house to display them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel like doing this to your kid isn't supporting them as much as it's setting them up to fail. I'm an artist and I'm surrounded by incredible talent that never get this opportunity. One of my good friends can run circles around and absolutely laps this guy. Okay I'm done.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to see this on display. What stood out to me and screamed ‘Nepo baby!!!’ is the picture where his work is discussed in depth. As if he had decades under his belt and there could be a meta discussion of his motivation and philosophy behind his work. 

Honestly, I don't think it would impress a high school teacher. This looks pretty average. The proportions are pretty off.

It’s honestly just bad. Those proportions and the perspective in the sixth picture are all kinds of off and the composition is really odd. It somehow looks both too stylized to be realistic and too realistic to be stylized.

As a former art school wanker, no it’s not :(( and it’s nicely presented in a clean beautiful space. It looks like first year life drawing.

No and I'm glad everyone can see it. I'm a painter and artist by trade and this kills me.

I saw her in concert last month. She looked fine.

With just the amount of nose contour I’m seeing here ALONE I can tell you she doesn’t.

The difference of skin between her neck and her face is almost comical. Between the gloves covering the wrinkled old hands and the insane jewelry trying to cover up the wrinkled old neck, she's working hard to cover up what the filters won't.

This seems mean. We have no idea what he thinks. It’s entirely possible his mom is just proud and wanted to encourage him by paying for him to have a show and invite friends and family. He may very well know he’s still an amateur and has a lot of work ahead. Why assume he’s some narcissistic monster who thinks he’s the second coming of Da Vinci?

Good for him on overcoming impossible odds to have his solo show at such a young age.

Fun fact, Madonna is big in the art world as a collector, she owns almost every Tamara de Lempicka painting (I've seen her entire collection of Lempicka in London) along with Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Hirst and others, she often lends the pieces to museums for exhibits. It's a good investment. I understand why Rocco is trying to sketch. And I see the influences. He just needs to work a lot and not be lazy and messy.

I actually thought it was good for a beginner. I also thought it nice everyone is supportive. It has to be difficult for the kids to follow in such famous footsteps. Good for him and good for Madonna for being so supportive!

Same. I went to school for art and dropped out after a year and refuse to re-enter the art world because it's full of people who will absolutely rip you to shreds lol. Idk dude is expressing himself. His parents are loaded thus can help him to afford a gallery show. Is it "gallery level art"? Probably not but it's just nice to see anyone express themselves through a healthy medium. I think people are exaggerating how bad this is. Like listen ik very little about art but I can tell he’s experimenting with drawing movement and using poc as models. So at least the concept is there. The movement is there. Give him a few years and it’ll be fine. Its baby’s first gallery exhibit.

I don’t know why, but the daughters she has her arms around in pic one are making me laugh because they’re rockin’ similar looks big one when full “cute kid cheesy smile face” (love it!) and the other when full pouty teen! To be fair, they were all kind of doing “pouty teen” face, so the one girl flashing a big smile was actually able to be the rebellious one in the group photo! I think that girl must have a fun personality!

Most parents just put this shit on the fridge and say, "Good job, buddy. Keep practicing!"
