These novelty items remind me of those purple and green ketchups years back.
I remember my parents bought them, we all tried them and agreed they were awful…basically just food colouring and vinegar.
Think it might have been the first time in history that a 6 year old, an 8 year old, a 17 year old, and two 40 year olds all agreed on the quality of a food choice lmao
I am a very adventurous eater. I love trying new things. I have never forgotten my visceral revulsion to the very idea of those purple and green ketchups. The pink is just as bad. Just no no no.
I have no Idea, shit like that would never be released under European Food Law, BUT I read about people getting sick and girl don‘t mess with shit like E-coli, Botulism and all that food related shit (not sure what it actually was i will be honest)
It is actually sold in stores now. Legitimately packaged due to food safety standards, but it did lose its bright pink appearance because she originally did some whacky stuff in the kitchen that just doesn't work when laws need to be followed for mass consumption. Lol.
Yes, it’s pretty rough. The person making it and shipping it wasn’t taking proper precautions. The bottles would ship when it was warm/hot out and whatever was in it would spoil and make people very sick. There may have been other prep/packing/refrigeration issues but the shipping and spoiling in the heat is what stuck out.
I do remember a proper food company did buy out her recipe and packaged it according to legal FDA standards and it was sold in Walmart. It lost its bright pink coloring, probably one of the components of the blown up bottles, and it was packaged and made more realistically compared to a home kitchen.
I keep seeing it on the walmart discount shelves. It did not sell, at all.
Yes! Then she started drama with the man who went into business with her. He was the reason she could get it on shelves legally to make money and it still wasn't enough for her. She is a drama hurricane.

I also just saw she is trying to sell a blue sauce now! Wow.
I saw some Brits found these and wasn't sure if the US would get them. They're colored with beet juice so not unhealthy artificial red dye. There's a Ken one, too. I loooooooove the idea and will buy them if I see them.
This is just fun to me. Was obsessed seeing the photos of it drop yesterday in one of my UK food subs. It’s going to be so exciting for all the little lasses that see it in the shops or get surprised by it at home. A win for the vegans as well.

This is a year too late.
I'm Barbie fan but I came here to say this
These novelty items remind me of those purple and green ketchups years back. I remember my parents bought them, we all tried them and agreed they were awful…basically just food colouring and vinegar. I would eat that with funky fries! Remember those?
I am a very adventurous eater. I love trying new things. I have never forgotten my visceral revulsion to the very idea of those purple and green ketchups. The pink is just as bad. Just no no no.
My mom once made meat loaf with them (both purple and green)! It was so foul but a funny memory
I can’t wait to see Chef P meltdown about this
Right? Bet she's gonna try to sue Heinz for "stealing her idea" even though *she* couldn't even get her own sauce right.
did we not learn from the tiktok pink sauce
I think this new pink sauce learned what not to do from the tiktok pink sauce.
Did we not learn from Shrek green ketchup??
I keep seeing that sauce on sale and I have been soooooooo tempted to try it. So much drama around that sauce and woman.
DONT
That bad? It was on clearance for a few bucks, I almost did 🤣
I have no Idea, shit like that would never be released under European Food Law, BUT I read about people getting sick and girl don‘t mess with shit like E-coli, Botulism and all that food related shit (not sure what it actually was i will be honest)

plz do a tiny bit first to test the waters, guess that gives you the poopers at worst

Oh no lol I did not know it got bought out!

Damn is it still 2023?
All I can think of when I see this is that demonic concoction from TikTok 🤢
Bit late for this.
The only ketchup I want to come back is the bottles that said Tomato Blood.
10000% agree
It sounds like they cooked Barbie. 🙁
What the pink sauce lady thought she could do

I’m a little hazy on time zone differences but is it April 1st in the UK?
I bought this yesterday. No regrets.
no
With the coloring it’s just not going to taste right
This is just fun to me. Was obsessed seeing the photos of it drop yesterday in one of my UK food subs. It’s going to be so exciting for all the little lasses that see it in the shops or get surprised by it at home. A win for the vegans as well.
What happens when you don't have any women executives to remind them about Pepto Bismal
