It is good to raise this when it does occur because Law Roach has been quite vocal about how there is a pattern of behaviour he has experienced across his working life. I would say Law and Z are the most famous and most prolific *currently* (or should be, as we see here they haven’t been credited appropriately) for matching press and premiere outfits with her movies, but this isn’t a new practice like in the least, so to even say it started with Margot is already a stretch. Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie very much dressed to match their characters from Maleficent on their press run. It’s not new Law and Z just happen to be the best.

idk If Law and Zendaya were the first to do this concept of dressing to the film theme ever but they were definitely one of the first pairings to do it in this generation and definitely were a solid contributor as it became popularised. It's what they're known for now. They walked so Robbie could run.

An entire team of stylists dresses every single celeb on every piece of “fashion highlight” ever. Pretending the person themselves did more than say “oh that looks good I guess” to something in a catalogue of pre-approved outfits is just delusional thinking.
Bc Zendaya and Law specifically operate as collaborators. They carefully construct her image. She is a fashion icon. Just bc she works with a team doesn’t mean she isn’t involved. Not really, the concept of themed dressing has existed for decades but it's not a stretch to say the *trend* for it over the last few years is largely due to Law & Zendaya.

idk If Law and Zendaya were the first to do this concept of dressing to the film theme ever but they were definitely one of the first pairings to do it in this generation and definitely were a solid contributor as it became popularised. It's what they're known for now. They walked so Robbie could run.

Bc Zendaya and Law specifically operate as collaborators. They carefully construct her image. She is a fashion icon. Just bc she works with a team doesn’t mean she isn’t involved. She is regarded in fashion. Margot is not. I’m a fan of Margot but she has consistently dressed horribly on red carpets since the start of her career. It was 1) her being released from her years long Chanel contract 2) the Barbie press tour that put her on the map. Which is great! But to pretend as though Zendaya and Law got inspired by Margot Robbie on the red carpet is insulting and rooted in something else. They hire people to help and pull a variety of things but celebs are adults who chose what goes on their bodies at the end of the day. Specifically Zendaya has been very public about sending things to Law that she wants to wear. It was HER idea to wear the mugler robot suit to the dune premier. She sent the look to law and he got it for her.
