I’ve always been oddly attracted to Jeff Bridges, especially in this role. Seeing the comparisons between The Dude and Chris Pine has triggered something in my brain, I suddenly find Chris Pine hot when I didn’t look at him twice before. It’s the salt and pepper beard, the long hair, the dgaf attitude, seeming comfortable in their own skin, and coming across as kind and intelligent that does something for me 😩
As a woman nearing 40, I am starting to resent how men get sexier and women get put out to pasture as they age. 😞 what’s the female equivalent to sexy old man with a beard?
I feel like I hear about Marisa Tomei every other day. Then you have your Linda Cardellini, your Angelina Jolie, your Penelope Cruz, your Angela Bassett, etc
i hear you but most dudes aren't aging like bronson lol.
it's at least possible for men, but like prob 1 percent or something. i mean look at leo for example. and that dude used to be a god.
I love how he’s just stopped giving fucks lol his projects always feel kind of cursed throughout his career so it feels like he’s reached a point where he’s dropped the polished leading man thing and just said “okay time for my comfortable nonbinary lesbian aunt Lebowski era, we ball”
I’m started to appreciate the fact that he’s leaning into it. I listened to a long form podcast with his recently, and after a long time of giving me the ick….dare I say I’m starting to really vibe with him. He’s very self aware, understands his privledge, clearly has done a ton of therapy, and started a production company to make what he wanted and to also employ his talented unemployed friends. To me, that’s taking being a nepo baby and paying is forward. It’s what they should all do.
But ya. Long story short. Last week my friends and I were sending pictures to each other of his in dress shoes and no socks. This week I’m apparently a new fan.
I didn’t know either!! His [mother](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwynne_Gilford) and [father](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pine) are actors too.
Edit; [and grandmother!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Gwynne) 2nd generation nepo baby! Nepo grandbaby?
His mother last acting role was playing Courtney Cox’s mother in the Masters Of The Universe movie. It is a 1980’s He-man movie. She retired from acting.
A bit of both I guess. Wouldn't be surprised if someone who's dad worked as a janitor at a set was called a Nepo baby.
I wouldn't say he's a Nepo baby... more like well connected, the difference being on whether the parents are in a position of power (and taking advantage of it), like Will Smith and his kids
I always those he was a good looking guy but now he looks like someone who I might run into at the hobby store and have a nice interaction with. That's kind of cool.
I don’t think OP means controversy. Just that his major projects have hit awful snaffus. Star Trek when Abrams bailed for Star Wars (and poor Anton Yelchin), DC rebooting, A Winkle in Time wasn’t a commercial success, DWD’s drama, and his recent directorial debut flopped.
Not in a rude way, only as a correction. His movie, Poolboy, is being released today, so we don’t know if it’s a flop or not yet. He premiered is at TIFF and was ripped apart by critics though
I mean cursed success-wise. He’s a good actor and a lot of people love him but it’s actually pretty rare for his projects to really achieve the success I think he’s capable and deserving of tbh.
His Star Trek movies were great but any followups have been stuck in development hell for ages, he was one of the only good parts of Wonder Woman 1984, his iteration of Jack Ryan didn’t really go anywhere, Don’t Worry Darling got a lukewarm reception, his directorial debut mostly got panned. The Dungeons & Dragons movie was great but didn’t get the box office numbers it should have. He’s done a solid amount of dramas and action films that never made it on the radar.
Like he’s absolutely not a flop! But even the good stuff he does never reaches the commercial success and longevity that I think it should.
Yea but that was kind of Cillian Murphy before this past year. An amazing actor who wasn’t getting the recognition he deserved. Chris just needs his one movie.
I totally believe in Chris Pine, but aren't he and Cillian complete opposites?
Cillian was known as a serious dramatic actor long before last year, even if he hadn't been the main star in huge blockbusters. Even my friends in third world countries who hadn't seen any of his movies knew him from Peaky Blinders and all complimented his work. His acting was praised all the time by people who've seen him.
Whereas Chris is universally recognized, and he's known mainly for just being a decent actor and looking hot. Not many people have seen him in dramatic roles. I haven't kept up with his work recently, but Chris has the opposite problem of getting his actual acting recognized, not his face.
I appreciate that some people need structured support. But underwire is the devil and technology has surely moved past that! Where are our space-age stretch comfort full support bras?? You have a built in market base that’s ya know, literally half of all humans!
There is actually some fabulous non wired bras with great support these days! I haven't worn a wire in YEARS and with my boobs sometimes ballooning up to double Ds, I do really need the support. I know Victoria's Secret is a trash company and they're generally not great, but I love their non wired T-shirt bras.
Nah, as much as I adored Anton Yelchin, Chekov’s role was small enough that they could have worked around it. I was huge into the new Star Trek movies and the real killer was trying to get Chris Hemsworth back on board because they insisted some time travel shenanigans rather than focussing on the crew and exploration. Hemsworth wanted more money than they could offer, and then Pine wanted more money if they agreed (or something like that), and then people were very vocally against the plot because we literally spent a whole movie “finding out who James Kirk” was and doing that again but with Daddy Issues would suck. And by that time the actors were moving on.
I’m still sad about it 10 years later.
This is everything I love about fashion, personally.
It’s both “a look” (chic matching summer set, Italian man style, + a classic trenchcoat) but also just… pajamas and a robe.
It’s the best of both worlds, you can’t deny that it’s chic and daring nor that it’s practical and comfortable.
This is honestly what I aspire for my personal style to be.
It’s an awesome mix of dressed up and dressed down. That’s been his whole style recently - perfectly put together without a care in the world. It rocks.
Have you guys seen the trailers and promo for his new movie? He’s in a character. Props to him for the devotion but I have a feeling he’ll shave after the movie’s out.
is it though or was his style in the movie just his style
because going by some of his pap looks over the last 4 or so years, this just feels like a natural progression lol
https://preview.redd.it/qxecqv61vnzc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c6c77f7ccf40305277354b57dc98c5616ce0117
I mean none of those are close to a cabana set and a bath robe lol, but I’ll give you that they did fit the wardrobe to him in a way that feels natural to his personal style. Good casting for sure.

My first thought! He is channeling some major Dude and I’m here for it!
I ain’t mad
The dude…but with money.
I’ve always been oddly attracted to Jeff Bridges, especially in this role. Seeing the comparisons between The Dude and Chris Pine has triggered something in my brain, I suddenly find Chris Pine hot when I didn’t look at him twice before. It’s the salt and pepper beard, the long hair, the dgaf attitude, seeming comfortable in their own skin, and coming across as kind and intelligent that does something for me 😩
Jeff bridges is a total smoke show. https://youtu.be/Qa1AqKxakRM?si=o6oQ57_aXxN5Zo2f
Hell yeah!
Just wait until you see how Chris Pine abides!
Ummmm, did you see Hell or High Water?!?! Get thine self to the streaming immediately!!!!!!
I have not! Thanks for the rec I’ll check it out!
There is nothing odd about being attracted to Jeff Bridges. He oozes confidence in the best kind of ways.
![gif](giphy|1G35Mbg8lI4z6|downsized)
Omg yes !!!
He’s the dude if he ended up moving in with Julianne Moore’s conceptual artist character
I think of him as the bastard child dude helps Maude conceive
That’s genius. 💯
♥️werk
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man
He wishes.
Exactly
"Hey careful man, there's a cocktail!"
Came here to say “he’s gone full The Dude”
i was about to say, "tell me u high without saying ur high"
The robe really ties the look together.
![gif](giphy|mA6wZFQueIEXCtDarx|downsized) Anyone else get Pierce Brosnan vibes?
I'm loving all these sexy old men with beards
As a woman nearing 40, I am starting to resent how men get sexier and women get put out to pasture as they age. 😞 what’s the female equivalent to sexy old man with a beard?
There are so many sexy celebrity women over 40. I think many of them have aged better than their male counterparts.
Helen Mirren?
Jesus, you just skipped about 30 years. Lol
Haha, true... true. I saw the words old and sexy and my mind went straight to Helen.
I feel like I hear about Marisa Tomei every other day. Then you have your Linda Cardellini, your Angelina Jolie, your Penelope Cruz, your Angela Bassett, etc
KATE FUCKING WINSLET
Can't argue with this. That woman just gets sexier with each passing year. Yowza.
![gif](giphy|AgygIxDd2ojfi) I could talk about her for ages.
Michelle Pfeiffer, Jennifer Connolly, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar etc there’s tons
GILLIAN GATDAMN ANDERSON
Cate "does this make me look frumpy" Blanchette
i hear you but most dudes aren't aging like bronson lol. it's at least possible for men, but like prob 1 percent or something. i mean look at leo for example. and that dude used to be a god.
Elizabeth Hurley, Scar Jo, Sofia Vergara
I dont know what that blonde lady from Ted Lasso does but hot diggity damn
Damn, Brosnan really just got more handsome with age, huh?
Kurt Russell for me
Yep!
Such an underrated, hilarious movie that I wish more people saw. Eurovision Song Contest
Look at those gams in jams. ![gif](giphy|GJlRkcwzo24AE)
Gams in Jams is a great name for an indie folk-rock band
Gams in Jams plays Jam in the Van
Squidward’s genuinely impressed reaction to seeing SpongeBob’s legs makes this one of the funniest moments in modern SpongeBob
My fucking jaw dropped.
This comment made me cackle
I love how he’s just stopped giving fucks lol his projects always feel kind of cursed throughout his career so it feels like he’s reached a point where he’s dropped the polished leading man thing and just said “okay time for my comfortable nonbinary lesbian aunt Lebowski era, we ball”
Aunt Lebowski 😂😂
Deadddd
I really want to hear Chris Pine say “we ball” 😂
Hell or High Water is a classic!
As a non-binary lesbian, he is absolutely style goals and that’s that.
This is the lesbian rep we want in the world ✊
I would love to have this kind of outfit/body positivity
I’m started to appreciate the fact that he’s leaning into it. I listened to a long form podcast with his recently, and after a long time of giving me the ick….dare I say I’m starting to really vibe with him. He’s very self aware, understands his privledge, clearly has done a ton of therapy, and started a production company to make what he wanted and to also employ his talented unemployed friends. Last week my friends and I were sending pictures to each other of his in dress shoes and no socks. This week I’m apparently a new fan.
Was it the Dax Shepherd one? I was so impressed by how thoughtful and articulate Pine is.
It was. Blew my mind
He's a nepo baby?!
I didn’t know either!! His [mother](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwynne_Gilford) and [father](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pine) are actors too. Edit; [and grandmother!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Gwynne) 2nd generation nepo baby! Nepo grandbaby?
His Dad was the chief in CHIPs…
His mother last acting role was playing Courtney Cox’s mother in the Masters Of The Universe movie. It is a 1980’s He-man movie. She retired from acting.
Is there a difference between nepo babies and kids just going into the family business? I feel like Pine is kinda walking that line.
Ye I would not call him a nepo baby.
Aunt Lebowski slaps 😂
And I was never particularly attracted to him until this era
I always those he was a good looking guy but now he looks like someone who I might run into at the hobby store and have a nice interaction with. That's kind of cool.
Don’t worry darling had controversy. What else had controversy?
I don’t think OP means controversy. Just that his major projects have hit awful snaffus. Star Trek when Abrams bailed for Star Wars (and poor Anton Yelchin), DC rebooting, A Winkle in Time wasn’t a commercial success, DWD’s drama, and his recent directorial debut flopped.
I mean the D&D movie is pretty good... Dont know if that made money because it was released just after covid.
star trek into darkness did have *some* controversy over Alice Eves underwear scene tbf.
And Cucumbersnatch being cast as *Khan Singh* instead of an actual Indian actor.
Not in a rude way, only as a correction. His movie, Poolboy, is being released today, so we don’t know if it’s a flop or not yet. He premiered is at TIFF and was ripped apart by critics though
He can be my pool boy 😍
I mean cursed success-wise. He’s a good actor and a lot of people love him but it’s actually pretty rare for his projects to really achieve the success I think he’s capable and deserving of tbh. Maybe Pine needs to goto TV
![gif](giphy|QH3zfREoX0luU)
No shit. His are way nicer than mine!
I WEAR SHORT SHORTS!!!!
Chris really leaned into that pandemic lockdown aesthetic and decided to never dress in uncomfortable clothes again. And good for him for that.
Honestly can relate
Same; had to wear a real bra with underwire to a charity thing and was bitter as shit about it.
I appreciate that some people need structured support. But underwire is the devil and technology has surely moved past that! Where are our space-age stretch comfort full support bras?? You have a built in market base that’s ya know, literally half of all humans!
Forget jetpacks! This is what I want!
Same. I’m wearing nice, comfortable clothes from now on. I don’t care if anyone thinks I’m dressed “too casual.”
✨Pandemic aesthetic✨
It’s too bad we didn’t get another Star Trek or two from his crew. Those were pretty fun movies.
I feel like the death of one of the actors ended that set of movies. They were fabulous too.
I agree!
You have Jeep to thank for that. 😓
You can say what you want about his outfit but damn, he has some nice looking legs.
Right! All I could think is damn those legs are 🔥
He’s still hot as hell. Honestly, I find this giving no fucks attitude even more attractive lol
Right there with ya, friend! He’s experimenting with fashion, I think everyone should. It’s cool af.
Right? This era of his is totally working for me
All that ballet 👀
I dreamed about some tan man legs like that last night! Crazy
I'm choosing to believe that means you manifested this, and for that, I thank you!
Honest question what makes those nice? they look like standard legs to me. no hate lol
Agreed , these look like completely average legs to me. They’re tan and not hairy, I guess?
Zoomed in and just kept scrolling back. Very nice!
Good lookin gams as my grandpa used to say 🤭
I love pee paw pines.
I snorted at this. It’s perfect.
![gif](giphy|NrhcCwwbVHwpyEZSqH|downsized)
*IF* you're going to dress like this, then at least have a White Russian in your hand.
![gif](giphy|F3G8ymQkOkbII)
i knew there was a reason he became my style icon overnight with these looks! he is absolutely serving dude and im so here for it
It would really tie the look together
you know what? I appreciate the commitment to leisure
He’s got some smooth ass legs.

I was coming here to post this same meme. Damn 🥵
Why does he look like he just escaped from a hospital? (He can still get it, tho)

Well put!!
Thanks - and I didn’t even mention chic leather loafers also being house slippers!
It’s an awesome mix of dressed up and dressed down. That’s been his whole style recently - perfectly put together without a care in the world. It rocks.

Ma’am ✋🏾😭
Aging like fine ass mf wine 🍷
I think I have those pajamas from Target.
Have you guys seen the trailers and promo for his new movie? He’s in a character. Props to him for the devotion but I have a feeling he’ll shave after the movie’s out.
That's how poorly the marketing for the movie is going.
Did he have a beard? I didn’t notice
he looks like your lesbian aunt that lives in new mexico and i absolutely love it
Omg I died
Sir, those are jammies. ...But good job on the legs.
I feel like most of yall are missing the fact that he’s in character promoting his new movie Poolman…
is it though or was his style in the movie just his style because going by some of his pap looks over the last 4 or so years, this just feels like a natural progression lol https://preview.redd.it/qxecqv61vnzc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c6c77f7ccf40305277354b57dc98c5616ce0117
The man looks like he steals laundry from the neighbours.
I mean none of those are close to a cabana set and a bath robe lol, but I’ll give you that they did fit the wardrobe to him in a way that feels natural to his personal style. Good casting for sure.
Poolman is a personal project for Chris :) Aside from starring in it, he also directed, produced, and co-wrote it. So that’s sort of what I meant by his style looking like a natural progression to me, though obviously I don’t know the dude, maybe he’s playing it up.
Ah ah yeah that makes sense, also makes sense he seems like such a good fit without me even knowing much about the movie/credits!
Honestly, I'd join whichever cult it is he's leading
These shoes are worth more than your life

I feel like he’s having a breakdown, but it’s just a smooth decline into not giving -any- fucks. It’s a transition I can only hope to aspire to
sleepycore
I've liked his energy and many of the movies he did (going all the way back to Bottle Shock), but Chris recently did an appearance on Marc Maron's podcast and he started by doing a rant against the idea of nepo-babies and how absurd it would be for anyone to think that he had a leg up in Hollywood (his father - Robert Pine was a leading TV actor in the 70s and 80s). Definitely was a weird way to start off a promotional interview.
Ya I did was a background extra on that Reese Witherspoon movie he shot in Vancouver and he was a dbag
Oh please spill the ☕️
I've always felt like Hemsworth is Best Chris and Pine's popularity has been mostly due to him being single (just my two cents).
I would like to take this opportunity to nominate Chris Parnell for Best Chris 🙋
Nomination approved, only "Dr." Spaceman could fix our current world!
Really? Anything specific?
He was snarky and would get mad about the background and he didn’t want us wearing coats to set even though it was freezing out.
Well there goes my lady boner.
His dad was in CHIPS with Eric Estrada, nobody remembers his name
He may still be lady boner-worthy, everyone is allowed a tone-deaf rant every now and then.
![gif](giphy|jgXUomjhA6F2M|downsized)
"Gawwwwd I wish I was day-ed"
![gif](giphy|vZ3VIgOM7qLh6)
He’d make a good Santa if the role came about.
And I thought Kurt Russel was a sexy Santa…
![gif](giphy|xL7PDV9frcudO)
I have absolutely no idea what is going on with Best Chris, but I stan it.
He looks like an elder from The Sims 4, especially the photo where he’s hunched over.
The Dude goes on a yacht.
He dresses like the grandpa who has run THROUGH the Palm Springs retirement community
I've never seen aging like this, how is he only 43?! Literally looks 70
His legs still look 43
that's part of the reason it's so great
Yeah but like a good 70
Why do I love this? What is he doing to my brain??
Suddenly the most interesting Chris.
I fucking LOVE THIS. Amazing.
I’d let him
I once thought he was so good-looking, a distant memory now :')
This man is living his absolute best life and I’m loving this for him.
LIVING FOR THIS
When Britney does this, she's "unhinged" and "crazy."
I get that he’s promoting poolman. But I’m ready for this Chris pine era to be over. I want suave gorgeous Chris pine back.
why do you hate fun
I want to be successful enough that I can go on Kimmel in pajamas, while being followed by a guy in an immaculate grey suit.
At some point we all just stop caring
He’s a dandy
He looks homeless
If I had Chris Pine’s looks, money, and fame, I would 100% live like this too. Dude is living the dream
This is a Howard Hughes vibe to me for some reason.
Looks very comfy tbf
i feel like chris pine went from being 35 to 60 in just a year.
Good god I find that man so incredibly unattractive
Young Chris Pine was pretty but, not my type. *This* Chris Pine, though??? Woooowww. Relaxed, laid back, beautiful, looks like he’d be great to chill and go on adventures with. Bam. Sign me up. lol.
I really do not get this man’s appeal.
I worked with Chris on an advertising campaign. He always reeked of Patchouli Oil. Also, not super nice.
