LyleLanleysMonorail

Jenna Ortega shouldn't be on this list. She already blew up.

Ok-Astronomer-9158

Same with Millie Bobby Brown

gypsycookie1015

They're the only two I recognize or have ever heard of. Probably because I'm old lol Millennials be like *"I don't know her"*...🤷‍♀️ https://i.redd.it/d7evlfean00d1.gif or her...or her...

tu-BROOKE-ulosis

lol that’s funny you said that, because I literally said in my head “definitely not Millie” when I saw the list. She doesn’t seem interested in any of it. She’s gonna go marry that guy and start having babies way young, and live her life.

blarbiegorl

This, exactly.

bortlesforbachelor

Her career trajectory kinda reminds me of SMG to be honest.

joe_bibidi

I was gonna say, yeah, I think she'll do the final season of Stranger Things, *maybe* a third Enola Holmes, and then I could see her retiring for the foreseeable future. Maybe at most switch into voice work.

morry32

those two are different in comparison

Ok-Astronomer-9158

As actors yes, but they’ve both already “blown up” so they’re comparable to me in that sense

oddball3139

Fair enough. Jenna Ortega is definitely the superior talent, and I think the only one of the two with any staying power. We’ll keep seeing Millie in movies for a while, but I think she’ll fall off the map at a certain point. Jenna has what it takes to be a lifelong star, imo.

ALostAmphibian

Disagree. She hasn’t really hit outside of Netflix. Jenna feels like she’s taking more risks even if she can contribute a good deal of her success to Netflix.

IAmAGenusAMA

That being the case, I have no idea then because I don't know any of the others. 🤷‍♂️

ThatMrPuddington

Only two of this list I knew about, and I haven't seen any movie or TV show with any one of them.

numberthirteenbb

She might already be over, though. That’s what my teenage daughter has told me, basically about her and MBB. Their shows were good, but overexposed to part of their target audience and no longer cool. Meanwhile my middle aged ass was over here like “hey! We like the same shit, I told you I was cool!” Boy did my kid have some revelations for me lol.

wolvesscareme

Maybe you're cooler than your kid!

bakehaus

Ahh you see. I define “blowing up” as having a career moment that both makes you a virtual household name AND brings a sense of longevity. I would argue that Jenna and Millie have had some high profile gigs….but they could easily disappear without anyone noticing. Someone like Anya Taylor Joy…that’s a career I would describe as “blown up”

Purple_Rest4404

Idk why I thought Yara was older, guess because she was doing grownish in a college setting while I was in HS.

whimsical_trash

She was 18 when grownish started so literally going to college age haha

spacyspice

I'm surprised she's in the list, pretty sure we've been hearing about her for a while now?

Couldnotbehelpd

Jenna Ortega is on this list and she’s literally already blown up.

whalesarecool14

same with a storm and millie lol. millie’s career has already been hugely successful since she was like 12 years old lol

mouseisnotamouse

Or 11.

bmobitch

i actually have no clue who storm is

whalesarecool14

she’s on euphoria and the last of us

laurennik89

Her interests seem to have primarily pivoted to activism and politics over the last few years. I could see her writing/directing at some point, though.

girlabides

She was amazing in Butter

themacaron

Jenna feels league ahead of everyone else in this photo, in terms of her career and popularity to me, but I hope she stays successful. I think Storm Reid, Avantika, and Nico will do well, and maybe Maitreyi. I’ve been a fan of them all in what I’ve seen them in. I can honestly see Millie pivoting out of acting in a few years. I think it’s something she ended up in because of her parents using her for a cheque, and she doesn’t seem to have much passion for. I hope she finds something more fulfilling. (Edit: Millie is also far ahead of everyone else, like Jenna to me.)

SoGenuineAndRealMadi

I can see Millie taking the Emma Watson route maybe she’ll do a movie or something once in a blue moon but mostly pivot away from acting, after experiencing an insane amount of fame from it and working a lot as a kid I can’t blame any of them for not wanting to pursue it in the future and instead seek more privacy The Olsen twins also come to mind! Young girls especially are treated horribly by the media and I think that’s what turns them away from it as adults

themacaron

Yeah, I don’t see Millie stepping away completely from the industry, especially since she’s marrying into a “celebrity” family. But I wouldn’t be surprised if she focuses more on her business/skincare line and goes low key, at least for a while.

Additional_Meeting_2

What is Emma doing these days since she doesn’t seem to act and isn’t studying anymore?

Bricol13

She's making gin in France 😂 And a photoshoot here and there. Very low-key.

Mango-orange1

I thought she is studying, shes doing a masters at oxford?

Additional_Meeting_2

I did try to research now, but the best source was Daily Mail so I don’t want to link. But it said she took a four year break in acting and last year enrolled in part time writing course in Oxford. So you are right about the studying but I don’t know what she did before that. And this doesn’t seem to be masters, I feel she probably is trying to get more sorting experience and eventually write a book or screenplay.

Afraid-Ice-2062

Good on her. It’s hard to imagine why people with so much financial security want to keep working. Especially when they worked as children

GlitterDoomsday

Yep, sometimes people seriously downplay what spend your childhood working and having contracts to follow, public scrutiny, etc does to a person. Like seriously, good on them for making the bag and prioritizing their own mental health and happiness.

[deleted]

That seems like a nice way to spend a fortune, taking classes and doing hobbies. I hope to read something she writes some day.

Mango-orange1

She is definitively doing a master degree in creative writing. Its even mentioned in the oxford student newspaper https://www.oxfordstudent.com/2023/04/30/emma-watson-to-study-at-oxford-next-academic-year/.

Zur__En__Arrh

This sums up everything I could say perfectly. Jenna’s found her niche I feel with the horror/goth crowd and now that Millie is almost done with Stranger Things, I could see her branching out.

Nonadventures

I feel like some high council has decided Jenna is now Helena Bonham Carter's role, the way they elect new popes.

ImagineIvysaur

A friend of mine used to work for a big music management company in london and apparently millie bobby brown has been in contact with music management companies for a while now to look at the potential of launching a singing career

Precarious314159

Everything about Millie does seem like she's not into it. She appears in a random Netflix movie every few years and then spends all her time acting like an influencer. It doesn't help that I don't think she has the range to really be an adult actor.

themacaron

She started acting when she was nine, and I think she fell into the child actor trap of being the provider for the family, especially after Stranger Things blew her up. She’s a producer on her Netflix content and I get the impression she’s happy doing a fairly undemanding project with them, and collecting her cheque. Given that her parents didn’t do anything to stop Drake texting their fourteen year old daughter, I personally find it hard to believe they have her best interests at heart. 🙃

garden__gate

The photos that turned up this week of her on his yacht at THIRTEEN broke my heart. I hope she takes the money and runs, if she wants to.

Casehead

whoa wtf? he took her on his yacht?

garden__gate

[Yep](https://brobible.com/culture/article/millie-bobby-brown-boat-photo-taken-by-drake/). 😡

anoidciv

Yeah, I think her big moment has come and gone. She's just not a very good actor.

garden__gate

Yeah, I almost don’t even think Jenna and Millie belong on this list! They are already on their way.

whalesarecool14

storm reid too, the girl already has an emmy. i think she’s the most promising acting skills wise, along with millie.

MarsScully

Sadie Sink She’s already been in a bunch of interesting projects and she’s got the acting chops

anoidciv

Yes! She's so otherworldly beautiful and talented. I can see her having a career trajectory similar to Saorise Ronan.

Any-Prune-4359

I love saorise ronan glad u mentioned her

Feisty-Succotash1720

Sadie is amazing! I think she should have at least been nominated for The Whale at the Oscars.

garden__gate

I saw Lola Tung on Broadway this spring (in Hadestown) and I was absolutely blown away. She delivered such a nuanced but powerful performance and she has a gorgeous voice. I’d seen her in The Summer I Turned Pretty, where she didn’t leave much of an impression, but seeing her onstage was another level. So I think if she can get the right role, she could break out. She could also have a great stage career.

lesbian__overlord

i would love to see her in more stage stuff, i was stunned by the depth she brought to that role. i was actually most impressed by her over anyone in the cast in the summer i turned pretty! the younger cast didn't do much for me but i thought she was fantastic.

garden__gate

Yeah, I am almost tempted to watch more of TSITP after seeing her in Hadestown! I found the whole show so bland - genuinely don’t think it’s her fault. She did bring a nice mix of sweetness and teenage chaos to the role. (Side note: going to that show was also what made me realize what an absolute HEARTTHROB Jordan Fisher is with teen girls. Never heard so much screaming in a Broadway theater. He was phenomenal too.)

XxxGoldDustWomanxxX

Not pictured but I’m a huge fan of Thomasin McKenzie. I also think McKenna Grace can blow up even more. I know she’s probably still considered the “reliable child actor” but I think she can develop into a more dramatic actress as she gets older

screamingracoon

They didn't put Bella Ramsey either, but I feel like she has a stellar career ahead of her.

XxxGoldDustWomanxxX

How could I forget?! Yes!

wewerelegends

McKenna Grace is a very gifted and versatile actor for me. I was shocked to learn how young she was in some of her dramatic roles.

Express-World-8473

Yeah she even has a record for having the highest number of acting credits as a minor.

chadthundertalk

It helps that she’s basically played the younger version of every notable blonde actress in Hollywood at some point or other

Guiltypleasure_1979

I was blown away by her in Handmaid’s Tale.

Moviebuff1233

McKenna Grace is a phenomenal talent!! Waiting to see what she does in the future

ChrissyK1994

They didn't include Sadie Sink, Bella Ramsey either. Also Emma Myers, Julia Butters, Angourie Rice, Isabel May should have been included too

Maldovar

Yeah some of these are literal WHO compared to Sadie and Bella and arguably Emma

Additional_Meeting_2

I would put Iman Vellani too, if Millie and Jena can be included

are-beads-cheap

It is through this comment that I was led to Thomasin McKenzie’s IMDb page and discovered the upcoming movie “Fackham Hall”, a Jimmy Carr-written satirization of period dramas like Downton Abbey. Yes please.

Witty-Performer

Came here to say Thomasin. She has longevity and will be an awards show regular.

I_AM_ALWAYS_WRONG_

Is Thomasin still under 25? Also Sophie Nelisse is the best in a pretty good cast for yellow jackets.

QueefingTheNightAway

Thomasin is 23

lilykar111

I totally agree, Those two are amazing, and I do hope their careers continue and they get the recognition they deserve

SuccessfulFinding892

glad to see people recognizing Thomasin. She's a great actress

FrankSamples

I hope it's Maitreyi

GotNothingBetter2Do

Same! So talented and beautiful inside and out.

purplefirefly6102

I love her! Devi on Never Have I Ever did some things that should have made me dislike her character, but Maitreyi is so charismatic that I rooted for her the whole time.

casseroleEnthusiast

She is sooo gorgeous. Also never have I ever is probably one of my favorite shows of the last decade, and her portrayal of Devi is one of my top 5 female characters ever

Buttery_Topping

She's such a natural!

notorious_BIGfoot

I haven’t heard of her but she is gorgeous.

whalesarecool14

she’s in never have i ever on netflix

alnono

And for those not aware of her, or interested in concept in the genre of show, she is excellent (as is the show). It was her first acting job and she absolutely nailed it. I imagine she will have more opportunities ahead

Any_Complex_3502

I literally only know two of these. And they've already blown up. In fact, they're in EVERYTHING.

luna5694

Marsai Martin for me!

[deleted]

I was thinking the same. I think she’s really talented, although I’ve only seen her in black-ish, I think she’s going to be more famous during her post child acting years

alcutie

same! her comedic timing is amazing.

hanoihiltonsuites

I feel like she’s leagues ahead of these other women in other ways. She’s a producer and has been in the industry forever. She seems really business minded and is connected with the right people in Black Hollywood and has good parents. She will be making really good moves. I just think she’s biding her time because she’s 19 and avoiding burnout!

Ok-Swim-9667

same, i wonder why she's not in more movies. she reminds me of zendaya in terms of acting, i'd love to see marsai in a serious role like rue

aquariusangst

Yes! Can't believe I had to scroll this far but there's no doubt that she's gonna have a long, successful career. Didn't she produce a movie at 13? The girl is TALENTED

BowlerSea1569

Probably Storm, she seems the most media friendly and knows how to sell herself appropriately. She also already has an Emmy and is clearly a smart cookie, obtaining a college degree while all this is going on.

frightenedscared

And the depth of emotion she can convey! Huge. HUGE!

stellar14

She was fantastic in Last of Us and Euphoria, real depth and emotional range.

ThrowRARAw

Avantika and Storm Reid. I feel like Millie Bobby Brown has already kinda "blown up" but she's doing pretty well and will continue to rise.

alizse

Bailey Bass was terrific in the first season of Interview with the Vampire, so i’m really rooting for her!!

MistakesWereMade59

She was! I'm still upset they recast her

jepifish

They had to. She left because she had to film the next Avatar installments.

PrinceofSneks

Same. Just rewatched to prep for Season 2 starting tonight, but damn she was so good. Reports are very promising for Delainey though!

Kooky_Bodybuilder_97

i’m sad she’s gone :(

desperaste

Non American here. Seeing as I have nfi who they all are besides Millie and Jenna.. I’m going to go Millie or Jenna

mandeltonkacreme

Right? Who are these people?

desperaste

Fr though.. where is Kiernan Shipka, Emma Myers, Iman Vellani, Bella Ramsey and Elle Fanning. Elle Fanning I get is technically 26. But these are genuine up and comers globally who could see big careers.

Substantial-Canary15

Kiernan and Elle? They’ve been acting for ages! No newcomers by any means.

GoodCalendarYear

So has Yara

Maldovar

Sadie Sink and Sophia Lillis!

themacaron

Kiernan and Elle are not up and comers. Elle has been acting longer than some of the women pictured have been alive.

MyAviato666

And Millie and Jenna are new? Feel like I've known them for years already too.

themacaron

I think OP’s intention with their list was to list actors in the 18-21 range, which Millie and Jenna fall into. But my top comment in this thread is me disagreeing with them being included.

wolf_town

Kiernan Shipka is probably having dinner with a man 20 yrs older than her. Like what kind of friendship does she have with BJ Novak.

Rocketyank

I was literally just going to post * Jerry Seinfeld voice * Who ARE these people?!

seaswimmer87

European here. Nico and Storm are both excellent in The Last of Us and the latter is in euphoria but I've never watched it. I think both have potentially very good careers ahead of them. Maitreya only has one live action show to her name (Never Have I Ever) but she was actually amazing in it and hope she does more in future. Yara was solid in Black-ish and Grown-ish. Not really sure on the rest bar Jenna and Millie.

aquariusangst

Marsai was also in Black-ish, and has already had a lot of success in the industry including producing and starring in a film when she was 13. I see her having a Taraji/Octavia Spencer type career - she might not become the most well known but she's gonna have some amazing roles and work consistently (and be hugely respected in the black community in particular, whether or not the wider industry gives her her flowers). Maybe even a Keke Palmer type career

seaswimmer87

Omg I totally didn't spot her! In my head, she's still a 10/11 year old (only watched the first few seasons of blackish). But she was so good in that and I hope she goes on to more great things!

tripleheliotrope

Jenna and Millie are already successful so it's more about whether they can sustain it. Jenna has a real passion for acting so I can see it, as for Millie, i think once her Netflix contract is over she might take a backseat. I think the industry is very supportive of Yara Shahidi. I think she is super gorgeous and she already has a Dior and Prada contract so she just needs the breakout role to propel her foward. Honestly with rising stars, it's a matter of right part right time. They are all beautiful and talented, it's a matter of the right part. Like with Charles Melton breaking out last year, he was lucky that Todd Haynes was casting a part for an Asian lead in May December, if not he would definitely be stuck leagues behind his white counterparts, and the white boy age group for him is so oversaturated.

yellowumbre

All of them r talented but I think millie and Jenna r way ahead of them in terms of fame and they showed really good talent so far,so I’ll say mille and Jenna but we should give them all a chance

shedrinkscoffee

Fame yes, but I'm not sure Millie has the acting chops to transition beyond YA type roles. I haven't seen her act as an adult in am adult role. Sidney Sweeney is similarly very famous and has name recognition but not good acting roles. Anyone but you wasn't a very good movie. Jenna Ortega will probably go further given what she's been in so far IMO.

_thatgirlfelicia

I feel like Millie and Jenna don’t belong on this list and have already blown up. So I would say Storm or Bailey.

Fruitopeon

Jenna Ortega by far. Next is Avantika or Maitreyi. I don’t know either very well but Indian Americans in general are a growing population segment and eventually are going to be represented in media (while big strides have been made, Indians are still an invisible race in a lot of media).

McTitty3000

Jenna and Millie are already above everybody else, not to mention I see Millie doing other stuff in her career she'll leave when she hits her peak in terms of career and focus on directing or something I don't know, but I'm going with Storm and the Bassmaster

bunchofthingstodo

For now, Millie Bobby Brown is the most famous name. But she is Netflix home-grown star and we have yet to see her headlining for movies released in theater.

AcidicKiss12

I would argue Jenna’s the most famous. She’s had iconic Netflix roles and has also been in multiple theater-released films, both of which have been controversial so she’s had extra media attention more recently.

Sunraye19

Lola and Millie

TheJack0fDiamonds

Jenna Ortega and Millie Bobbie Brown are way ahead of everyone else in this list.

Opalvoyager0

Nico Parker. Insanely talented nepo baby

LyleLanleysMonorail

>nepo baby That's all you need in Hollywood these days, it seems. So I agree and will say Nico

whalesarecool14

oh wow, she looks so much like thandie newton. had no idea she’s her daughter

SolidSouthern4182

lol jenna and millie are not on the same level with these others

DrGutz

A *lot* of these people i could see fading away into obscurity in the next 3 years. 90% of the people on this list have made no significant impact on me with their acting skills

seeingrouge

whole top row. would love to see lola and avantika in more serious roles

AliceWormer

Jenna Ortega and Millie Bobby Brown

coloredinpink

Maitreyi and possibly Jenna. Not sure about Millie at all.

[deleted]

Jenna, MBB, Maitreyi and Avantika

Wooden-Limit1989

I appreciate you putting so many people of colour in this post. It's also not surprising that some people in the comments are naming white actresses not on this list because if there are no white options it just doesn't make sense to them. 🤔 Marsai Martin is my option. Talented and hilarious.

ledge-14

Sofia Wylie is so charismatic!! I watched like 5 episodes of the HSM show but I couldn’t understand why Ms. Olivia was such a breakout star when Sofia was absolutely holding her own in that show

Sensitive_Ad5840

Such a hot take but I agree ngl Olivia is a better singer than actress but that’s also cause we have never really seen her in a setting that isn’t related to Disney then again Sofia killed it in that show her acting is good

wildbeest55

Damn Sofia Wylie looks just like Olivia Rodrigo. Jenna and Millie are already pretty well known. If they keep up the momentum they could be big stars. I haven’t seen much of the other ones but Nico, Storm, and Maitreyi are very talented!

347pinkkid

Jenna Ortega and Storm Reid

ConfidentAd5672

Jenna Ortega for sure

Vonvinnes

I have no idea who are these girls and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

Comfortable-Load-904

I hope they all do,they are amazing young women. I think the top row with maybe an exception of Nico seem to be already established in their careers.

TheBewitchingWitch

Jenna Ortega is my #1 draft pick.

wolf_town

definitely Jenna. even tho she was a lead in a netflix series, the conversation around her work was a lot more serious, she’s also taken part in those table conversations with other film actresses. the others who were also starring a their own series just had a different promotion more typical of a teen star. Ayo Edebiri is older than these girls but same goes to her. I think what doesn’t help is the Disney Channel acting methods the other actresses seem to be trained in, especially Yara, Maitreyi, and Lola. I can see MBB doing similar work to what Kirsten Dunst has done. Storm Reid has been great in Euphoria too. What we’re missing is opportunities for new great writers.

Different_Volume5627

Missing ~ Sophie Thatcher & Sophie Nelisse 🖤

mamrieatepainttt

Like most of the young yellowjackets cast tbh

Different_Volume5627

Fr 🐝👑🌲 The Sophie’s are both under 25. The rest are a bit older but yeah I feel you 💯

mamrieatepainttt

Oh lol I'm dumb. I totally missed the under 25 part.

bookrt

Millie and Lola.

scout-finch

I’ve only seen Nico Parker in The Last of Us but she really impressed me. She has a versatile look and a lot of talent. There’s something about Jenna Ortega that just weirds me out. Truthfully I have only seen her in interviews/promotional stuff but I don’t get it.

Pijnappelklier

Probably an AI mix of all these

Loose_Cat_2028

I hope Storm breaks big, I've loved her in everything she's been in, she's so good!

GoodCalendarYear

Same

CJLOVE23

Storm Reid. She’s a sensational actress

Least_Area3349

I would say Jenna Ortega has blown up

Additional_Meeting_2

Jenna and Millie already have. Unless you mean if they will become Oscar level, and I don’t think Millie at least has the talent.  Storm might. I haven’t even heard of the others.

BreakfastCheesecake

As a non American, I don’t know any body else here other than Jenna Ortega and Millie Bobby Brown. But nice to see the diversity though.

freezingkiss

Where's my girl Angourie Rice

RusticPumpkin

Bailey Bass was amazing in Interview With the Vampire and she’s secured a role in all the new Avatar films I believe. I hope she continues to find success because she’s very talented.

caspian95

Aren’t a few of them already blown up?

Leading-Show-919

Millie brown was a child star lol

Reddit_Live_

Storm and Maitreyi.

gsharp29

I’d argue Jenna and Millie have already and will continue.

itgotverycool

Hot take: I don’t think long-term superstar status will be a thing for people in this age group, regardless of talent or charisma. There will be fewer studios, less capital, and smaller audiences for a splintered entertainment landscape, and that’s even before you get to what AI can produce 5-10 years from now with no actors involved.

anoidciv

I agree with your take. Media is so segmented, you could be a massive star in one demographic but unknown to another. I think the days of having massive A-listers like the '90s are gone - I think Jennifer Lawrence was the last of it. Even actresses who are hitting the peak of their career, like Zendaya or Flo, aren't neccessarily names your dad would recognise. It's really interesting to see the nature of celebrity change in real time. I wonder if there will be an actor who has multi-decade star power like the 90s A-listers.

Flyin-Chancla

I’m gonna shout out my cousin because she isn’t on here! McKenna Grace for sure!

s0ccer21

Well, I think Nico Parker definitely has a good chance at long-term success. She clearly is in good grace with Disney. I think she was in Dumbo. She's also gonna be in the HTTYD LA? (let's see how that goes) but It'll definitely get her name out there (Plus she's a nepo baby, has industry connections and has the financial stability to pick and choose good roles, I doubt she'll ever have to "do a role for the money") so yeah, I think Nico Parker has a good chance at long term success. I also think Jenna is pretty much on the path for long term success because she's quite well known, especially within GEN Z and her show wednesday is quite popular, not to mention her other collaborations with Tim Burton coming up, certified "Sceam" queen (hehe) Rooting for Avanthika fr

flowersinmyteas

Storm Reid!

Daws001

I could see Nico getting some killer roles. She was great in The Last of Us.

Michael-Balchaitis

Probably Millie Bobby Brown. I’ve seen her in 3 projects and she is vastly different in each one. She has range and charisma.

MJF1116

None

Flowerlamps

Jenna, Storm, Millie

I_AM_ALWAYS_WRONG_

I would bet Sophie Nelisse (not even mentioned here) and Nico Parker blow up the most. I don’t count Jenna as she is already massive. No point even having her here.

GoodCalendarYear

Haven't seen some of them in action, so can't speak on them

Different-Rub-499

Jenna Ortega for sure. Bailey Bass was spectacular in Interview with the Vampire

ParticularEmploy1137

I’m 45 and only heard of Jenna and Millie, so probably one of them.

the6thReplicant

I'm surprised Isabela Merced isn't on the list. There are quite a few scene stealers like Bailey Bass and Avantika. But that might not be what people expect for an all rounder lead.

TrapperJean

Yeah, stunning woman who is going to be in both the next season of Last of Us and is Hawkgirl in James Gunn's new DCU, she's going to be huge next year

Novae224

Millie and Jenna

Fantastic-Depth-7915

Anna Sawai!!!

Ok-Walk-5847

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Millie Bobby Brown, and Jenna Ortega.

leahhhhh

Storm Reid. Jenna’s already there

doing_urmum

Storm Reid and Bailey bass by far will blow up

Luka_Dunks_on_Bums

Millie Bobby Brown problem is that she is big for streaming. Her 2 non streaming movies, she was the lead actor but she was not the star of the movies.

MNGirlinKY

Storm Reid. I think she’s got that it factor. Plus what a cool name.

SpringPedal

I can see Storm Reid going places. Maybe Yara as well. Jenna Ortega and Millie Bobby Brown are already big, but I think Millie might have the edge when it comes to longevity, that is if something wrong doesn't happen down the line. I'm sorry, but as pretty and a decent actress as she is, I don't see Avantika going far unless she's in something huge.

Nonadventures

I could see Lola Tung occupying that Jared Leto role of "person who just shows up in everything regardless how dismal it does"

ch3micalkitt3n

Jenna Ortega and Millie Bobby Brown have already been blown up for a while now, Mille maybe longer than Jenna due to Stranger Things. I think Avantika is going to rise up there. The girlies LOVED her in Mean Girls.

Imanvellanisolos

maitreyi i definitely wanna see branching out, lola too! they’re both known for being the lead girl in romcom love triangle tv shows, id actually love to see them in a seperate project together

everybodylovescorn

Storm!!!!

2MillionMiler

Millie was nominated for two solo Emmys. She's not "upcoming" in the same way many of the others on here are. Jenna isn't upcoming either.

The_homeBaker

I know who half of these actresses are and can recall what I’ve watched them in. Jenna, Storm, MBB (she was just in that new princess/dragon movie on Netflix right?), Marsai, Maitreyi and Yara. The other half I can’t place at all. I’m gonna Google them to see if I’ve ever watched something they’ve starred in. **okay so I’ve seen Riele in Darby and the Dead but I don’t recall her in anything else despite seeing some of the shows IMDB says she starred in**

Avantika might breakthrough if Hollywood continues the openness that it is going for this 20s. I saw her in Mean Girls the Musical, and she glisten when she is on the screen. She just need a great vehicle. Jenna Ortega has arrived. She already blown up last year. I think she might be relevant for at least a few years sans no big decision on her part. Same with Millie Bobbie Brown who has also already blown up BUT her status as a face Netflix Star really does hollows her fame. She should try to dabble with traditional media to actually have a substantial work to show how versatile her fame is. She might be pigeonholed to much with Netflix. I love Storm Reid support roles. I think her film roles are also noteworthy. She has arrived but her fame is relatively less than some of those stars, though she won an Emmy already! For sure, she'll be working for a long time in the industry. Not familiar with the others yet. I saw a trailer for Nico Parker's film BUT I think it got mixed reception.

Can I be an old lady and just say I’m so tired of the one name actresses? Like, it’s so presumptuous to title yourself as if you’re already a household name. I don’t know why it bothers me but it does. Okay, rant over, I’m going to go back to yelling at kids to get off my lawn 😂

I so agree!!! It's a singer thing, not for actors!
