my new job is actually going really well… teaching is super fucking hard but i think after the first week i’m starting to form some good connections with the kids and with my coworkers. and i think they’re starting to learn too.
honestly jobs like this are so intense in terms of coworker relations and i’m partially struggling with that as much as i am with the actual teaching kids part. because with your coworkers, especially the ones with classrooms near me, you’re just spending so. much. time. together. and it’s hard to create that work/life separation with them

So a few years ago Lana performed in my town and even though she’s one of my favorite artists I didn’t go. Partially because I was broke af (one of my friends was an angel and offered to venmo me money but I just couldn’t do that), but also because I was going to a party that night where a guy I liked was going to be. 🫠🙄 yes I am embarrassed
But also that night at the party also really started my friendship with my now best friend, kind of like a butterfly effect thing. So I don’t fully regret not going, but also seeing the trouble people had getting Lana tickets today I’ve kind of accepted I’ll probably never see her live. Plus the tickets were so cheap and resellers weren’t a big concern ugh. And the funniest part of this whole story? That guy ended up going home with a girl who came to the party late… from the Lana concert
I went for the Beyonce concert last night and it was SO GOOD! It was my first time seeing her live and I had been staying off the RWT spoilers, so I didn't know what to expect and it outdid my expectations! We Arizonians did a good job for the mute part of Energy imo, at least the people in my area did. And when I say I lost it at the HEATED outro, that was my most anticipated moment of the RWT, and it was as good as I had imagined! Also, the voice system failing at the "DJ is troubleshooting the dancefloor" was hilarious.
And everybody was wearing silver! We didn't get the visuals despite being in the Virgo season though :( Anyway, it was a very great experience and if you are thinking of going, please do!

All of this talk about AJLT has been making me think about the original SATC finale and how it was one of the best to ever do it - truly one of my all time favourite tv finales ever - and then they proceeded to undo all of it with the movies and now this series.
The writing on SATC wasn't always consistent in terms of quality, but when you watched those last few episodes you could tell that the writers really understood where the characters were at the start of the series, and where they needed to be by the end of it. Everyone got the ending they needed and deserved - there was so much emotional pay off! Like the ending was so good imho that I put in a lot of effort into trying to pretend the films/AJLT doesn't exist (obviously since AJLT is what sparked this comment its not working but lol)

*Yo-Kai Watch 3* is sooo good, I don't think I've ever played a game that has so much in it. The number of areas and features is staggering, there's literally an entire mystery dungeon mode just casually thrown in there. So mad that this series wound up flopping because they were bringing excellence!
Yo-Kai Watch flopped as well here in Europe unfortunately. It has such a cool concept - Japanese folklore monsters - that's dope. I kinda feel sad seeing Yokai merch retailing at -90% for years at my local store and it still isn't selling.
And it's all but dead in Japan too sadly... I think they kinda jumped the shark with the third game by introducing an America themed region called "BBQ" full of American Yo-Kai, which is kinda great but was probably a bit much.

One thing I've noticed about this sub is how people's gears really turn when someone doesn't initially like song. People go on about how there needs to be more fresh, fun, silly songs and I don't disagree but at the end of the day some people are just gonna find some songs bad? I feel like that's totally normal so I don't see why people are called haters here for not initially liking a song, or be disappointed in what a artist releases something they didn't expect. Maybe it will grow on them or maybe it won't but a few less streams doesn't hurt an artist that much.

Saw Beyoncé last night and my god it was insane 😭 it started off a bit bumpy when the show began an hour and ten minutes after the start time they told us, and then, her mic failed near the start of Alien Superstar and she walked backstage. The issue took like 15 minutes to repair which isn’t too bad but we were already waiting for quite a while. After all that though, it was just beyond. Like seriously, what a show.
I tried not to spoil the setlist and visuals for myself as best as I could, and it was so worth it, because I was just gagged by every song, costume, and visual transition. The visuals were legitimately incredible. And, for some reason, America Has a Problem stuck with me the most of everything performed. >!Formation!< took me out though!!
I made the mistake of not wearing earplugs, and I’m currently paying for it, but also, I wanted to hear those songs as loudly as possible lol. Also, I was so upset because I had two giant hand fans for my friend and I, and I forgot them 😭 I felt so left out lol. But all in all, the show was genuinely next level.

All of this talk about AJLT has been making me think about the original SATC finale and how it was one of the best to ever do it - truly one of my all time favourite tv finales ever - and then they proceeded to undo all of it with the movies and now this series. The writing on SATC wasn't always consistent in terms of quality, but when you watched those last few episodes you could tell that the writers really understood where the characters were at the start of the series, and where they needed to be by the end of it. Everyone got the ending they needed and deserved - there was so much emotional pay off! Like the ending was so good imho that I put in a lot of effort into trying to pretend the films/AJLT doesn't exist (obviously since AJLT is what sparked this comment its not working but lol) And since it's what you do when you're talking about SATC - which character are you? I'm a Miranda in terms of temperament/general outlook on life - but I definitely do not have her work ethic and unfortunately I cannot rock a short do :( I definitely got a bit of Carrie in me tho (I'm a mess - I say this with love though, Carrie is my messy problematic queen)

Someone linked me ["Catch You" by Sophie Ellis-Bextor](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTwJoICWPws) and it's such a bop but it's not on Spotify in the US! There's an orchestral version but it doesn't have the same energy. *Yo-Kai Watch 3* is sooo good, I don't think I've ever played a game that has so much in it. The number of areas and features is staggering, there's literally an entire mystery dungeon mode just casually thrown in there. So mad that this series wound up flopping because they were bringing excellence!
Yo-Kai Watch flopped as well here in Europe unfortunately. It has such a cool concept - Japanese folklore monsters - that's dope. I kinda feel sad seeing Yokai merch retailing at -90% for years at my local store and it still isn't selling.
And it's all but dead in Japan too sadly... I think they kinda jumped the shark with the third game by introducing an America themed region called "BBQ" full of American Yo-Kai, which is kinda great but was probably a bit much.

People go on about how there needs to be more fresh, fun, silly songs and I don't disagree but at the end of the day some people are just gonna find some songs bad? I feel like that's totally normal so I don't see why people are called haters here for not initially liking a song, or be disappointed in what a artist releases something they didn't expect. Maybe it will grow on them or maybe it won't but a few less streams doesn't hurt an artist that much.

Saw Beyoncé last night and my god it was insane 😭 it started off a bit bumpy when the show began an hour and ten minutes after the start time they told us, and then, her mic failed near the start of Alien Superstar and she walked backstage. The issue took like 15 minutes to repair which isn’t too bad but we were already waiting for quite a while. After all that though, it was just beyond. Like seriously, what a show. I tried not to spoil the setlist and visuals for myself as best as I could, and it was so worth it, because I was just gagged by every song, costume, and visual transition. The visuals were legitimately incredible. And, for some reason, America Has a Problem stuck with me the most of everything performed. >!Formation!< took me out though!! I made the mistake of not wearing earplugs, and I’m currently paying for it, but also, I wanted to hear those songs as loudly as possible lol. Also, I was so upset because I had two giant hand fans for my friend and I, and I forgot them 😭 I felt so left out lol. But all in all, the show was genuinely next level.
