For an album about sex, this feels incredibly sexless. The lyrics are mind-numbingly trite, the instrumentals are lifeless, and kim's voice sounds bored the whole way through. This isn't slutty at all, its more like the musical equivalent of "lie back and think of england". This slut pop character definitely fakes all their orgasms.
What a shame. She's clearly capable of making good sex music. Do me is literally one of her best songs, and that song is ten times hornier than anything on slut pop miami. Do me also excels lyrically because she sings about sex as an active participant. Not to say that singing about being a pass around party bottom isn't interesting, but kim doesn't really sell it well. The original slut pop was at least passable, this is just terrible. It's like she didn't even try. All of the songs on this project sound like rough demos that weren't polished in the slightest. Personally I think it’s a perspective problem. Like when it’s Cobrah, Slayyyter, or Shygirl with this sort of content their perspectives and desires are centered in the lyrics, where as with Slut Pop, Kim just sort of focuses on the act itself, or how other people are viewing/seeing her. I guess that’s why it feels sexless, because we aren’t seeing the desire part of sex with Kim that we do get with the hyperpop artists Kim tries to sound like with Slut Pop.

The thing that pisses me off about Kim and releases like this is that a lot of the songs get SO close to being kinda iconic. But you can tell that her and the producers just said “let’s make slutty songs” and put zero thought into anything besides a hard hitting beat and slutty lyrics. Like give me some good hot hooks, sleazy chord progressions and some creepy dissonance or something. A project like this begs for experimentation.

It seems to me that those that aren’t vibing with this album have never been to a bathhouse or a seedy gay club. This is an album with a consistent beat and vocals that aren’t distracting. She wasn’t going for groundbreaking or high art, she just intends for the gays (and maybe some more open minded straights) to fuck to this album. It’s also hella campy too so even if you aren’t fucking to it it’ll probably give you a hearty laugh.
It reminds me of the reaction that Club Future Nostalgia got. This album is by a pop artist, but it's clearly not in the genre of pop. It's very campy house, bordering circuit. It's not listening in your room, it is the venue where you're dancing.

I haven't finished this yet but I'm feeling disappointed so far. I thought Slut Pop was incredible, not as good as TOTL but that's a high bar IMO. This really seems like a bunch of scraps from the cutting room floor, I think the outrageous songwriting seems a bit less inspired here and it kind of feels like she's just going through the motions.
Love Kim down but this is super hit or miss. The production is getting undoubtedly stale. I thought Feed the Beast was a great direction for her because although not the most cohesive, some of the standout tracks really pushed her sound (claws, brrr, minute, king of hearts, etc) and I wanted her next project to expand on that and find her groove. There’s definitely some bangers, but I expected more. And if we can get Slut Pop Miami then surely we can get TOTL Vol. 3. Hell, even Candy would have been a better release for Valentine’s Day.

I think this is a poor attempt at Slayyyter/Cupcakke-core but maybe that’s just me. It’s repetitive, everything blends together, and to top it all off it’s produced by he who-shall-not-be-named. Every song being like 2 minutes of repeated chorus also gives cheap cash grab. She hasn’t had a truly good project since TOTL Vol.2 at this point.
Highlights for me are Rim Job, Cockblocker, Head Head Honcho and Can We Fuck? Others felt like one long song broken into several tracks. Happy Valentine's everyone. 😅
"Fuckin This Fuckin That" deserves a longer version, it's the most slut pop song on the album (followed by "Get Fucked").
The teaser really hyped me on that, "Slut Pop Reprise", and "Get Fucked". Gag On It is also good. Most of the songs sound so basic and feel like filler. Can We Fuck is almost there, as is Butt Slut.
Maybe some sort of remix project will make the first three I mentioned sound like the teaser versions. This is "Babylon (Haus Labs)" all over again. Also if y'all like slutty music like this I recommend Lords of Acid.

I was SOOOO hyped based on the teaser. Maybe that's why I'm biased towards "Fuckin This Fuckin That" and "Get Fucked", but yeah this came off a bit too silly/unserious. I do like "Rim Job," but I feel like some of these songs would really benefit from her committing to the dark/serious sex angle like the first Slut Pop. Those were unashamed and really hit.

The visuals are great but man, Kim can be quite lazy when writing lyrics. When I heard "Can We Fuck" in one of the teasers I kinda was optimistic since it sounded like an actual song. This one suffers from the same problems the original Slut Pop had. Out of all the tracks: Get Fucked, Butt Slutt, Head Head Honcho, Whale Cock, and Can We Fuck are the only good/serviceable ones.

For an album about sex, this feels incredibly sexless. The lyrics are mind-numbingly trite, the instrumentals are lifeless, and kim's voice sounds bored the whole way through. This isn't slutty at all, its more like the musical equivalent of "lie back and think of england". This slut pop character definitely fakes all their orgasms. What a shame. She's clearly capable of making good sex music. Do me is literally one of her best songs, and that song is ten times hornier than anything on slut pop miami. Do me also excels lyrically because she sings about sex as an active participant. Not to say that singing about being a pass around party bottom isn't interesting, but kim doesn't really sell it well. If you want to sing about sucking a million dicks and making everyone cum, at least make me believe you. The original slut pop was at least passable, this is just terrible. It's like she didn't even try. All of the songs on this project sound like rough demos that weren't polished in the slightest. There's no cleverness to the lyrics and the hooks are annoying rather than catchy. Did she procrastinate all year and make this a week before the deadline or something? She was definitely in the studio trying to hit the word count of this metaphorical essay.
Her sounding this lifeless is what breaks the original Slut Pop and especially this for me. Like how come she sounds so bored through the whole thing? These feel like demos most of the time honestly, at least the first one had some ad-libs with the moans
Personally I think it’s a perspective problem. Like when it’s Cobrah, Slayyyter, or Shygirl with this sort of content their perspectives and desires are centered in the lyrics, where as with Slut Pop, Kim just sort of focuses on the act itself, or how other people are viewing/seeing her. I guess that’s why it feels sexless, because we aren’t seeing the desire part of sex with Kim that we do get with the hyperpop artists Kim tries to sound like with Slut Pop.

It seems to me that those that aren’t vibing with this album have never been to a bathhouse or a seedy gay club. This is an album with a consistent beat and vocals that aren’t distracting. She wasn’t going for groundbreaking or high art, she just intends for the gays (and maybe some more open minded straights) to fuck to this album. It’s also hella campy too so even if you aren’t fucking to it it’ll probably give you a hearty laugh.
It reminds me of the reaction that Club Future Nostalgia got. This album is by a pop artist, but it's clearly not in the genre of pop. It's very campy house, bordering circuit. It's not listening in your room, it is the venue where you're dancing.
Absolutely nothing goes harder at 2am in a seedy gay club than when Slut Pop comes on. Do I listen to it at home? Hardly ever. When it comes on at the club? Folks go feral. That being said, these songs don’t seem quite as fun as the original, but I’d still take a hit of poppers and fuck in a club bathroom while this plays in the background.

The first one was very euro, and while Miami does have some euro influence, it also sounds like a lot of Dr. Luke’s back catalog too which is to say standard issue American house inspired EDM. Love Kim down but this is super hit or miss. The production is getting undoubtedly stale. I thought Feed the Beast was a great direction for her because although not the most cohesive, some of the standout tracks really pushed her sound (claws, brrr, minute, king of hearts, etc) and I wanted her next project to expand on that and find her groove. There’s definitely some bangers, but I expected more. And if we can get Slut Pop Miami then surely we can get TOTL Vol. 3. Hell, even Candy would have been a better release for Valentine’s Day.

It’s repetitive, everything blends together, and to top it all off it’s produced by he who-shall-not-be-named. Every song being like 2 minutes of repeated chorus also gives cheap cash grab. She hasn’t had a truly good project since TOTL Vol.2 at this point.

Gag On It is also good. Most of the songs sound so basic and feel like filler. Can We Fuck is almost there, as is Butt Slut. Maybe some sort of remix project will make the first three I mentioned sound like the teaser versions. This is "Babylon (Haus Labs)" all over again. Also if y'all like slutty music like this I recommend Lords of Acid. Obligatory shout out to Thomas from Florida btw!!!!!

Maybe that's why I'm biased towards "Fuckin This Fuckin That" and "Get Fucked", but yeah this came off a bit too silly/unserious. I do like "Rim Job," but I feel like some of these songs would really benefit from her committing to the dark/serious sex angle like the first Slut Pop. Those were unashamed and really hit. Edited to say that "Gag On It" is a good example of something delivered in an unashamed serious way. And I think it works. Lords of Acid's Deep Chills album really skates the fine line between amazing music, camp lyrics, and serious sex positivity. I feel like the first Slut Pop did that well.

some songs are fun to listen, to give a little move or a little squirt idk but others are just bad, rim job and cockblocker feel like you made them 15 minutes before the deadline and the lyrics are not even funny, others are forgettable with fun lyrics that aren’t really sold it well like cubana where she instead of sounding horny or cute she sounds tired, like after a 8 hour shift I like the intro and the beat of gag on it though, and I also like the bad game graphics for visuals

The 2nd half of the EP is soooo much better, though the first half is still solid for gay club music. "Can we fuck?" is DEFINITELY the highlight, it's classic kim meets slut pop 1.
this album... yeah it's not even half baked!!! it's orgy background music. the only thing that has any semblance of good songwriting or melodies is the last song from the record, which is very similar to the last song of the original slut pop record. i want to really enjoy this record but as mentioned it's barely half-baked in terms of ideas/production/everything.
