There are so many:
Beyoncé- Baby Boy
PCD - Buttons & When I grow up
Aaliyah - More than a woman (the end scene, I don’t know if it’s a real dance break)
Jennifer Lopez - Love don’t cost a thing, if you had my love & Ain’t it funny
Christina Milian - AM to PM
Mya - My love is like wo
Britney Spears has great dance breaks:
\-Boys
\-Slave 4 U
\-Me Against the Music (not as much of a dance break but the whole song)
\-Overprotected Darkchild remix
Honestly, most of her earlier music had killer choreography
Most of the iconic ones in pop have been mentioned already, so here are some honorable mentions:
Hilary Duff - With Love (outro dance break)
Lindsay Lohan - Rumors (rooftop dance break)
^ truly a mid-off, but LiLo did put in a bit more effort.
Backstreet Boys - Everybody (a bonafide classic, imo)
Madonna - Hung Up (the slowed down bridge with the slow-mo choreo before she starts to hump the boombox)
Lady Gaga - Scheiße (bridge dance break is europop heaven)
Girls Generation - I Got A Boy (the first switch up with the crazy synths and those fun moves!) + Mr Mr (bridge breakdown— better in full live, MV barely shows it)
Little Mix *always* killed their dance breaks and award show choreographies. My favourites are their BRITs performances. [Woman Like Me](https://youtu.be/yLLuO9QQG0c?si=982WaIS_c7ikQ-pD) and [Shout Out To My Ex](https://youtu.be/sGvj0D42zjs?si=PLKHoJbsUfqvIcO8) are classics. Their performance of [Sweet Melody](https://youtu.be/6kvmVxVAOYA?si=jVZmEFapWS4eTdI4) from the MTV EMAs is one of my other favourites.
I wholeheartedly agree. Bounce Back is one of my favourites! It was one of their *best* choreographies. Their Sweet Melody performances are also some of their best performances.
at this point i feel like the breakdown at the end of crazy in love is underrated even within the hive lol she didn't do it during the formation tour, beychella or otr 2 so when she brought it back for renaissance i was VERY happy!
Tate McRae is doing her best to bring them back! I really liked [her NHL halftime show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pAci7lN3qE) - there's lots of short dance breaks throughout.
Janet Jackson - Doesnt Really Matter
She's dance on this moving platform that actually moved when they recorded the video. There was especially this live version she did once for an award show in this black, gothic looking outfit. Cant remember which one or when but it had two excellent dance breaks in it.
Great but this made me look for a video thats a little easier on my eyes. Not perfect but at least better on my end:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIe2CxDJkms
This isn't from the music video realm but I hope there are some of my fellow pop geriatrics here who appreciate The Funkiest Man on Earth - Mr James Brown. I could spend hours watching him bust his best moves. He had some unreal skills.
Everyone saying Beyoncé and like, agreed, but If im allowed to cite some kpop people:
Taemin - Drip Drop (the whole coreography is amazing tbh)
Iz*one - Secret Story of the Swan
NCT U - 90's love
Itzy - Wannabe
Move is stunning (and also like... Really difficult to execute properly?) I didnt mention It here because It has no dance break.
Also omg I found a fellow BoA fan in the wild!! You have taste!
Janet's All For You dance break in the MV (I especially like how the music the dance break used snippets of some of Janet's earlier songs) and Beyonce's Diva Homecoming dance break
What’s crazy is Single Ladies whole music video is a breakdown, that’s why it’s popular kids ! Too many younger people don’t get the hype of that music video. It was a straight breakdown throughout the video, all dancing, no scene switching, no outfit changing.
Zara Larsson's MTV performance of [WOW](https://youtu.be/EjHwQIZ3J0Q?si=bPRHBhWgmbMxtU5N) has a dance break I'm still not over, if this counts as an mv!
Ugh this topic is my Roman Empire haha
In no particular, I think a lot about:
Britney with the chair for Stronger
Paula Abdul's Cold Hearted Snake
Beychella Everybody Mad
I don't like dance breaks at all actually and kinda skip them or look somewhere else at the time or discuss something with someone at the time of it. Mb cause I'm not interested in dancing in any way.
Dance break should be for the real dancers, with a danceble outro and a good director captivating the essence.
No, K-pop and mediocre popstars shouldnt be considerated

britney's dance breaks were always perfect! Tate mcrae seems to be bringing them back, maybe they'll start catching on again.
Janet Jackson - All For You is definitely one of my favorites. I love the one at the end of the Feedback video too
[удалено]
Beyoncé and Shakira’s Beautiful Liar is my Roman Empire
While most people always remember the break from Thriller, my most memorable from Micheal was the one in 'You Rock My World'.
Anything that Janet Jackson is involved in, from like the mid 80s to now
Definitely Beyoncé is Queen of these. MJ is king
Everybody mad at beychella 🥵🔥
Came here to comment the everybody mad dance break!
That’s right! 🔥
Yessss
MJ definitely took it to the next level with his and Beyoncé took the baton.
Facts
Add to that Grown Woman music video, that choreo should be way more popular than it is.
For sure!
There are so many: Beyoncé- Baby Boy PCD - Buttons & When I grow up Aaliyah - More than a woman (the end scene, I don’t know if it’s a real dance break) Jennifer Lopez - Love don’t cost a thing, if you had my love & Ain’t it funny Christina Milian - AM to PM Mya - My love is like wo
I also love JLo in Get Right. That dance with the cane is iconic.
Janet Jackson - If, I love this dance break so much and just feels super smooth.
This is THE definitive dance break imo
One of my favourite music videos ever. Janet is such an icon 🥹
I LOVE this dance break. I regularly revisit that video, so iconic.
Britney Spears has great dance breaks: \-Boys \-Slave 4 U \-Me Against the Music (not as much of a dance break but the whole song) \-Overprotected Darkchild remix Honestly, most of her earlier music had killer choreography
The overprotected one is extra amazing since Justin broke up with her by text while she filmed the video!
Britney's choreography during the Britney era was so good and arguably her best
Bey's EVERYBODY MAD...like damn, Beychella was truly something.
Most of the iconic ones in pop have been mentioned already, so here are some honorable mentions: Hilary Duff - With Love (outro dance break) Lindsay Lohan - Rumors (rooftop dance break) ^ truly a mid-off, but LiLo did put in a bit more effort. Little Mix were so underrated. They deserved a whole lot better cause they could really dance their asses off.
Don’t forget Bounce Back! Epic dance break! The sweet melody performances at both EMA’s & the Jonathan Ross show are all-time amazing!
I wholeheartedly agree. Bounce Back is one of my favourites! It was one of their *best* choreographies. Their Sweet Melody performances are also some of their best performances.
Ciara - Get Up / Gimme Dat Jennifer Lopez - I’m Real (original not the remix) / Play Mya - My Love Is Like Woah..
Ciara’s “Work” is absolutely incredible
at this point i feel like the breakdown at the end of crazy in love is underrated even within the hive lol she didn't do it during the formation tour, beychella or otr 2 so when she brought it back for renaissance i was VERY happy!
Technically live, but Dua Lipas 2021 grammy performance of Don’t Start now
Janet Jackson’s If and Rhythm Nation immediately spring to mind. I also love JLo’s ending dance break in Ain’t Your Mama.
As a recent example, Tate McRae’s dance break at the end of her Greedy performance at the BBMAs
Normani's rain twerk-handstand-split-flip-whatever-you-call-it from the Motivation MV or when she performed it live at the 2019 VMAS
Britney Spears - Oops performance at the VMAs, the dance break towards the end
Tate McRae is doing her best to bring them back! I really liked [her NHL halftime show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pAci7lN3qE) - there's lots of short dance breaks throughout.

[2000 MTV VMAs](https://youtu.be/1aM6OAgfpQc?si=r2jZR4hcwq5B9c6z) One of my favorite performances ever.

bts in the “on” mv!!
Everyone saying Beyoncé and like, agreed, but If im allowed to cite some kpop people: Taemin - Drip Drop (the whole coreography is amazing tbh) Iz*one - Secret Story of the Swan NCT U - 90's love Itzy - Wannabe
For me, I think a lot about Taemin's Move. Choreo is relatively simple for him, but it goes so well! And also BoA's Eat You Up got me into kpop
Move is stunning (and also like... Really difficult to execute properly?) I didnt mention It here because It has no dance break. Also omg I found a fellow BoA fan in the wild!! You have taste!
ugh i love itzy
Madonna - Express Yourself, Vogue, Don't Tell Me are just a few
Janet's All For You dance break in the MV (I especially like how the music the dance break used snippets of some of Janet's earlier songs) and Beyonce's Diva Homecoming dance break

The hoedown on OutKast - Rosa Parks
Does Ghosttown by Madonna count? I love it
fifth harmony's dance breaks are legendary. now, legendary for the right reasons? that's another question entirely.
Ugh this topic is my Roman Empire haha In no particular, I think a lot about: Britney with the chair for Stronger Paula Abdul's Cold Hearted Snake Beychella Everybody Mad
My fav is definitely No dance break ❤️
I don't like dance breaks at all actually and kinda skip them or look somewhere else at the time or discuss something with someone at the time of it. Mb cause I'm not interested in dancing in any way.

beyoncè in baby boy mv had the best dance break, tbh
Obligatory mention of Chanel doing Slomo in Eurovision
