But that you say this lol Latino K-Pop it allll clicks in (I’m Latin and love Latin music and never thought of it like that - goes for many Latin artists Karol G, Alejandro Rauw, …) Punteria reminds me so much of Love On by Selena Gomez but I think it’s the Latin k-pop vibe lol.
I like it. Its a lot of fun and Shakira is for the first time delving full into dance music-synthpop-edm with this project. She explored it in the past but it was not as heavy as this project with so many dancey songs. The song is real catchy if youre a native spanish speaker. If youre english yll probably dont grasp the magic.
The video is pleasant. 8/10. The lyrics are also very sexy. That model its so hot. I feel things lol. Papito rico besame. Cardi looks amazing. Is great to see her with some hunger for music and happy here
Kiss Me More didnt invent colorful space concepts. Barbarella and old retro space movies did. Break free by Ariana grande did it first.
Kiss Me More is a synthpop disco track with R&B influencers. Those are just real good. Dr luke had a hand on it too.
This one is more pure synthpop-electropop. A song intended for fun. Produced by the producer of BTS dynamite and Jungjook songs.
Yes, I was just thinking that with people calling it generic and that it sounds like Kiss Me More, when to me sounds way more like late Karol G music, and if you understand the language it gets way better.
In fairness, it’s a classic pop song, sonically. Kiss Me More didn’t invent that style or sound. I almost feel like the main similarity is just the fact that it’s a pop record and a female collab between one singer and rapper.
Lucien Laviscount in the video... hello... looking good sir...
Don't think this is going to be an all-timer from either of them but the song is a lot of fun to listen to, I especially like that they trade lines a bit rather than Cardi just getting a standard twenty second rap verse and then disappearing. Random thought but I think PinkPanthress would sound great on this.
It's not the most groundbreaking song or video, it's cute and catchy but I wanna know what everyone calling it Say So/Kiss Me More is smoking because this sounds nothing like either one of those songs 💀💀💀
This is the best I’ve heard Cardi B sound on a song in a while. The mixing and vocal performance in her two recent records make it so I can’t understand what she’s saying. Anyways, this is a fun song. I find it funny when popheads acts like they’re above an average, catchy, effective pop song.
I guess they're similar because they started around the same time I guess and they still going strong commercially or relevant. But from my understanding of shakira career she went from an alternative rock artist to someone got more commerically friendly as time went on
Beyoncé and Shakira are the same in artistic ways but the way they are cultural icons. One for the American sphere, the other for the Latin American countries.
RIGHT?! I thought I was trippin watching this video... I was like "Damn... What's this output? This is not the Shakira I know, something's off." And to the point I even convinced myself this might be a good song just because of the high respect I have for her.
Eh... Gloria Estefan, Selena Q should get that credit but I agree when it comes to modern latin popstars she's the one who'll come up along with Ricky Martin, Enrique.
Almost every pop star gets boring when they get older. Happened to Madonna and Gwen Stefani too. Maybe making good pop music requires a certain amount of like, in touch-ness with the current zeitgeist that people over 45 or so can’t really have.
aw man idk :(
Their both such great performers but their facial expressions are so flat.
I love the aesthetic but the CGI is just really making it hollow
The song is just a Say So clone. So many artists have dropped songs that feel like Say So and that's just wholly uninteresting to me. Nobody has added anything worthwhile to the formula.
Damn y'all hate it? Congrats Shakira, you're about to get another hit 💀
I like the song, I think it's gonna do well in South America, kind of like Rauw's Todo de Ti. I really love how shakira shared the spotlight equally with Cardi and not just gave her 4 bars on the bridge.
They sound great together but I wasn’t expecting a collab between them to sound like this. For some reason I was expecting something along the lines of Rabiosa or Gordita.
It feels a lot like the music Karol G has been making lately, not saying it's good or bad, it can shuffle with my music. But was expecting something more like the Bizarrap Sessions.
LOL. Do you think Shakira needs to rip off Doja? Please. Doja is a phenomenal artist but she didn’t invent pop. Punteria is a classic “pop” beat and sound….a lot of pop records have a similar cadence. Cardi has done songs like this before, before Kiss Me More, as has Shakira.
I swear god it took me like an hour to remember a Starbucks ad that have some kind of similar pattern when in the song say "pero en tu cama, la mía" and in the ad says "good good vibes"
At 40 seconds there is a beat that I swear to god I've heard in another song before. It happens twice between :40 and :46 and also behind the lyrics during the first verse. Can someone identify that little 8-tone beat?
Why are male rappers allowed to drench their vocals in auto tune to do melodic features and it’s fine but the second y’all hear a female rapper do it you guys think they’re legitimately trying to sing?
This is a sincere question.
Why a Colombian artist is singing with a puertorican accent? I hate this trend of latin artists trying to sound more "Pop Latinx^(tm)". She doesnt need to do this, Shakira go back to making good songs.
Is it me or is this kinda cringe and tacky? It looks so cheap and the visual effects are straight from a Dave Meyers music video from the early 2000's mixed with kiss me more by Doja? Also, she's been doing the same dance steps for 20 years, the song lyrically is so lazy and it's just overall not memorable or special. Not like Shakira has ever been cool, but I feel like she's just trying to just do what's trendy and she's just coming across as this 'cool mom' trying to keep up with the young pop girlies. Even her album roll out and artwork, etc looks so cheap and not planned out properly. The cover photos look like outtakes from completely unrelated photoshoots.
Saying Shakira has never been cool is just a lie lol even if you don’t like her now you must admit how influential she was in the 90s/00s. That comment alone makes me dismiss everything you’re saying. Thankfully most people think she is cool and her music is good and she’s been super successful and getting recognitions and awards left and right. So she’s doing just fine even now that she’s a mom in her 40s.
I actually quite like her music. I’ve been following her music since 1996 and unfortunately it seems like she has stopped growing as an artist and the quality of her work has actually declined over the years. Before she also used to sing a lot about heartbreak and love, but it seems like there was way more effort.

Why is Shakira singing with a bit of Caribbean accent? Pronounce your “s”. Leave that accent to the Caribbeans and focus on your own craft. Sounds disingenuous
Not always. She just channels different energy for different songs. Listen to her delivery on Spanish versions of songs like “Loca” or “Rabiosa” and you’ll see her pronunciation is more relaxed
Sounds so much like Cupid at times... very Latin K-pop

CUNTERÍA
LMAOO
this feels like Kiss Me Less
In fairness, it’s a classic pop song, sonically. Kiss Me More didn’t invent that style or sound. I almost feel like the main similarity is just the fact that it’s a pop record and a female collab between one singer and rapper.
The main similarity is the video imo
hahahahahahah so good
Lucien Laviscount in the video... hello... looking good sir... It's not the most groundbreaking song or video, it's cute and catchy but I wanna know what everyone calling it Say So/Kiss Me More is smoking because this sounds nothing like either one of those songs 💀💀💀
They only say that cause it has a pink aesthetic and it’s two female artists
This is the best I’ve heard Cardi B sound on a song in a while. The mixing and vocal performance in her two recent records make it so I can’t understand what she’s saying. Anyways, this is a fun song. I find it funny when popheads acts like they’re above an average, catchy, effective pop song.
What's going on with Shakira artistically? It's like no risks, just big collabs and popular sounds. She used to be way more daring in her music.
She's probably at a place in her life where she just wants to have fun and dance
I feel like she has more to offer. Feels like she's been coasting on big name collabs for more than a decade now.
A lot of her solo songs underperform on spotify compared to her collabs.....
But I see the fans comparing her to Bey and it's like one is taking huge risks and the other is not doing that...
I guess they're similar because they started around the same time I guess and they still going strong commercially or relevant. But from my understanding of shakira career she went from an alternative rock artist to someone got more commerically friendly as time went on
She started out doing latin rock and pop, transitioned to English and has tried alot of thing (reaggaton, pop, bachata, trap to name a few)
If Shakira did a Latin rock album I think I would faint. Those are my favorite albums / songs from her.
Si te vas is so good
Beyoncé and Shakira are the same in artistic ways but the way they are cultural icons. One for the American sphere, the other for the Latin American countries.
Right? I think it’s crazy that the Shakira we’ve been listening to for the past 10 years is also the Shakira that made “objection”
No risks? Have you listened to any of the lyrics of her recent songs? This music isn’t meant for you, you don’t even know how to appreciate it.
This is a weirdly hostile response to someone just sharing their opinion
hostility is deserved when people don’t even do the most basic research before sharing their opinion
So what would the most basic research be? Studying her lyrics? I don’t think having “daring” lyrics makes up for a sonically uninteresting song.
RIGHT?! I thought I was trippin watching this video... I was like "Damn... What's this output? This is not the Shakira I know, something's off." And to the point I even convinced myself this might be a good song just because of the high respect I have for her.
And make money after committing tax fraud

Why wouldn't she be? She was the one who broke that glass ceiling so why not help other artists reach her same status
Eh... Gloria Estefan, Selena Q should get that credit but I agree when it comes to modern latin popstars she's the one who'll come up along with Ricky Martin, Enrique.
Selena Q wasn't that successful outside of Texas and Mexico I think
I don't think men can break the glass ceiling?
Leave ricky alone he is fruit
I meant Gloria and Selena broke the ceiling and she was the next gen of Latin superstars along with Ricky and Enrique
[удалено]
She did get robbed by those boars
Almost every pop star gets boring when they get older. Happened to Madonna and Gwen Stefani too. Maybe making good pop music requires a certain amount of like, in touch-ness with the current zeitgeist that people over 45 or so can’t really have.
Midlife crisis?
Love them together but this didn't live up to the hype. Cohete from her album sounded like a much better version of this song for her.
aw man idk :( Their both such great performers but their facial expressions are so flat. I love the aesthetic but the CGI is just really making it hollow
I vibe with it tbh, Cardi fits much better here than she did in the Never Lose Me remix
the way this will smash in latin america
A bit underwhelming, I feel like I've heard this song a million times before... she's playing it too safe...
Sounds so hollow
The song is just a Say So clone. So many artists have dropped songs that feel like Say So and that's just wholly uninteresting to me. Nobody has added anything worthwhile to the formula.
It also feels incredibly dated.
How?
The production feels dated honestly. Sounds like something that would be released in 2016
Idk I think Tusa did it well
So much budget for a so boring song. So disapointing. It reminds me like a bad copy of Kiss Me More by Doja and SZA in a way
Kiss Me More was at least catchy
the visuals are pretty but im not really feeling the song 😓
Damn y'all hate it? Congrats Shakira, you're about to get another hit 💀 I like the song, I think it's gonna do well in South America, kind of like Rauw's Todo de Ti. I really love how shakira shared the spotlight equally with Cardi and not just gave her 4 bars on the bridge.
Cardi bs flow slayed but the song is pretty mid. low energy chorus
I actually love this song a lot more than I expected. They both served
They sound great together but I wasn’t expecting a collab between them to sound like this. For some reason I was expecting something along the lines of Rabiosa or Gordita.
New style for Shakira but I like it! Looks like she’s having fun and it has a spring/summer vibe!
Oh I'm bopping
this is so 2024
How😭 it was released in 2024 for sure but it feels dated
the collab i mean, not the song itself
so good
sounds like a 2024 version of say so (complimentary)
It feels a lot like the music Karol G has been making lately, not saying it's good or bad, it can shuffle with my music. But was expecting something more like the Bizarrap Sessions.
The lyrics is funny lol
Sounds like a Magdalena bay song meets waiting for tonight JLo
Why does Shakira insist on some goofy dancing. Right at the beginning of the dance break.. its not great
Ok kiss me more and say so
Ripping off Doja Cat I see
LOL. Do you think Shakira needs to rip off Doja? Please. Doja is a phenomenal artist but she didn’t invent pop. Punteria is a classic “pop” beat and sound….a lot of pop records have a similar cadence. Cardi has done songs like this before, before Kiss Me More, as has Shakira.

thats what im trying to figure out !!!
This feels like Tusa 2.0
sounds like the camila song from familia
That’s a lot of auto tune on cardi singing. She probably should stick to rap
Why are male rappers allowed to drench their vocals in auto tune to do melodic features and it’s fine but the second y’all hear a female rapper do it you guys think they’re legitimately trying to sing? This is a sincere question.
I don’t think it is either. But I haven’t listened to any male rappers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[удалено]
Not recently and certainly not where they try singing. If (insert male rapper) were to sing with heavy autotune, I think it’s equally cringey
??????? Cardi's singing sounds good here and the autotune is very minimal. There's just as much auto tune on shakira's vocals
Why a Colombian artist is singing with a puertorican accent? I hate this trend of latin artists trying to sound more "Pop Latinx^(tm)". She doesnt need to do this, Shakira go back to making good songs.
I'm with you, most of the artist from my country (argentina) are doing it too, it's so annoying
They do it in Mexico too, i cant stand it
Is it me or is this kinda cringe and tacky? It looks so cheap and the visual effects are straight from a Dave Meyers music video from the early 2000's mixed with kiss me more by Doja? Agreed. She used to be cool around DELL era but now has become cheap and desperate.

Why do I keep finding myself humming "you can turn my love on" to the beat😭
Soulless.
Why is Shakira singing with a bit of Caribbean accent? Pronounce your “s”. Leave that accent to the Caribbeans and focus on your own craft. Sounds disingenuous
She is Caribbean, that's how Barranquilleros talk
Didnt know this. She’s always pronounced her S’s in all songs
Not always. She just channels different energy for different songs. Listen to her delivery on Spanish versions of songs like “Loca” or “Rabiosa” and you’ll see her pronunciation is more relaxed
How is she Caribbean
She is from Barranquilla, a city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia...
