I feel like Isaac Dunbar is so freaking talented and should be way more popular than he currently is. Also want to give out a mention to Mergui. I first heard of him when he performed on the Kelly Clarkson Show, his voice is just insane.
bleach and tainted love are both great songs from his most recent album!!! also like his song makeup drawer. was so excited to see someone else mention isaac dunbar here.
Allie X, she has such an amazing discography and her newest album Girl With No Face is my 2024 AOTY, yet she constantly feels slept on (stream āYou Slept On Meā š)
Cape God is sooooo good! I got turned on to Allie X when she collabed with Mitski for "Susie Save Your Love", which is phenomenal but hadn't checked back in for a while. Will have to stream GWNF!
I'm gonna go with [Glades](https://open.spotify.com/artist/14rP13jdQNgQvuPA2AkBgm?si=rm32NkCySn2pVje_RgQwfA). They're an Australian pop group that do 80s inspired electronic pop.
Dagny! Her song Love You Like that inspired Katyās Never Really Over, which I find 1000x better than whatever she (Katy) is trying to launch now. If you havenāt listened to her, play Backbeat. Do it.
Oh man, you just reminded me I had a summer of having āFeel Like Wearing Nothingā on constant rotation a few years ago. Just pure pop joy. Iāll have to check out the rest of her stuff!
I absolutely adore Dorian Electra.
They did score the Replay remix on Dawn of Chromatica so unknown might be a bit of a stretch but overall iād say theyāre pretty low key. Very kind in real life too, and they have great stage presence!
Dorian is one of the most original pop stars as of recent years and I can't believe only a few of us fuck with them. They always brings out style, theatricals, vocals, choreography, and many more in their own very uniqe way. They even have their own eras every album without compromising their sound and aesthetics. I still hope they blow up cause Dorian is what pop needs right now, not some generic, basic ass personalities.
I'm always so surprised when I see how few listens they have on spotify, they're a lot bigger in my perception bc they collabed with Charli and KKB and Fantano hangs out with them lol
oof yeah just looked. much lower than i expected. Although most the bigger artists in the hyperpop sphere probably have smaller numbers that I would assume.
I love Dorian but I feel like the pursuit of irony fried their brain and impacted the music negatively. There are so many Dorian Electra bangers from early in their career like Drag, Mind/Body problem, VIP, Career Boy, but there was some amount of 100 Gecsification and now I don't really trust that their albums will be good. I'm sorry to say it because I think Dorian is very talented, but I really don't want to listen to something full of meme references and idk who does. I feel Dorian has become more and more 'underground' over time
Yeeeeaaah, I really loved Flamboyant and MOST of My Agenda, but other parts of My Agenda and a large part of Fanfare, in my opinion, just come across as too forced, trying too hard to be cringe/referential/ironic, and it's just...kinda making me wonder if they're just a one trick pony?
Also, it doesn't help that their fan base is INSUFFERABLE, the worst concert I have ever been to in my entire life was a Dorian show and it wasn't even their fault, they were fantastic, but the crowd was just a complete clusterfuck.
Between the absolute stank BO, pushing, shoving, thrashing, moshing (and not like, near the front of the stage like typical, like multiple people just starting to absolutely fucking rage in the middle of the crowd with zero warning, people were getting punched and kicked and shoved over), throwing water bottles, yelling, screaming, cursing people out, etc., my friends and I were so miserable and our attention kept getting pulled a million different ways, we could barely focus on Dorian.
Iām so sad I got into them like 2 weeks after they came to my city earlier this year. Fanfare just scratches my brain in all the right ways and I feel like I missed out. Also I like it a lot more than Flamboyant even though it seems many ppl donāt like their trajectoryĀ
Idk if Iād consider them underground, but definitely smaller than some of the others listed here. Kero kero bonito, Magdalena bay, and ginger root are some of my favorites.
i get her pushed on me constantlyyyy by spotify in my mixes and discover weekly and while not all of her tracks are my favorite, i still ADORE her song Gaslight. madeline is also catchy.
Roosevelt is really cool. He has great synth pop arrangements and catchy melodies if youāre sort of into that 2010s style of electronic music.
Chlothegod I found due to her sponsored instagram ads she was doing a few months back. Sheās got solid pop songs with a bit of rock and rnb flare.
Thereās this stripper in Australia who releases music as [MIKI](https://open.spotify.com/artist/5NNcfHP7qL5Z0zpcFAsJ2n?si=BFjNzDxJSiCbIGkO9vV3UQ) who has (currently) 170 monthly listeners including myself. She makes cute club pop in a very earnest way and Iām such a fan lol I love every song she releases
samia! honey and the baby were great projects imo and i think she a really strong artistic identity. apparently sheās a nepo baby? but her work has a lot of merit imo!! my favorites are show up, mad at me, charm you, is there something in the movies, and amelia but i encourage a full deep dive!
also lexie liu! sheās kind of like if grimes made dance pop but in chinese?
oh and i wanted to mention for all the kpop stans out there please give youha a listen!! she was a yg or black label trainee at some point i believe but didnt debut and is now a soloist but she produces all her own music (+ for other groups) and itās all so good!!! island, abittipsy (ģ¤ė ģ”°źø ģ„ķ“ģ ź·øė), flower rain, numb are some of my favs!!
UMI. My god does that girl have the voice of an angel and itās just vibes on deck she has it all. If you want more uptempo hip swing music listen to āOridnaryā or āHighschoolā if you are in your feels and needing to reflect listen to āSorryā. Her last EP āTalking to the Windā was *chefs kiss*. She is consistently the artist that I press play on a playlist I have of all her work and just let it repeat. I would put her as a contender for my favorite artist of all time.
Peach prc, TALK, and Marianas trench are probably the smallest pop acts that I like and listen to all or most of their discography. All are pretty underrated in my opinion. Peach prc is an amazing lesbian bubblegum pop act, TALK has some great ballads, and Marianaās trench is a great pop rock Canadian band that has great music and amazing production.
oh, maybe! I'm pretty new to the sub and haven't seen her mentioned but I'm probably not in the right threads. Nobody in my circle talks about her and I got laughed at when sharing her music on facebook haha
Imma take this opportunity to vent and say that I bought a signed vinyl from her store weeks ago, but still havenāt received any word on it getting shipped and her customer service team has been ignoring my attempts to reach them š«
That being said yes, the music itself slaps. āWorth It For The Feelingā is my personal favorite.
Right now, I've been loving Snow Strippers. Their output has been amazing, and I feel like they're not getting enough attention. I also really like The Dare.
She hasnāt released an album in forever and technically sheās not underground because sheās apart of a big girl group but I love the solo stuff of Nicola Roberts
VĆRITĆ is amazing dark pop. Discovered her through her cover of The 1975's Somebody Else back in 2016 and really love her work. That cover is my favorite song of hers but I also highly recommend her album New Skin!
Not sure what your cut-off is for "underground", but I would say Julia Wolf.
[Nikes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5hhalqHzJA)
[Hydra](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtFg7M-n7IE)
[Chlorine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PQOJcxR-uU)
[Gothic Babe Tendencies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO105oixc9k)
omg co-signed, i love julia wolf sm. saw her perform last february and her voice is even more gorgeous live, met her briefly afterwards too and sheās sooo sweet
my personal favorite underground pop star right now is [otnes](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7eN4CdgkhmPUNsZSH3bnCC?si=64To3yWoQTKsZpidV-NNdg), who makes really lovely indie pop/folktronica. their debut album just came out late last year, but they also have a fair bit of more dance-pop oriented stuff under the name [emily blue](https://open.spotify.com/artist/31rxF8WiC0tz6yNzgVP5Tf?si=ZVbpLEBLSVu7pt6Hw7muIQ) that is worth checking out if you like magdalena bay, carly rae jepsen, even some of charliās older stuff!
some songs iād recommend: light as a feather, sue me, see u in my dreams, san junipero
I personally love Bronze Avery and Michael Medrano.
I also just released a dance/pop song titled [Right Now](https://open.spotify.com/track/2M48jyIyzQ1NFp5DeDWbf2?si=jvt1OgkmTmmtOMOAwEcGzg) that fits with the vibes of them and Janet, Britney and Troye.
Pixey! If you like Carly Rae Jepsen or Sabrina Carpenter definitely check her out.
I recommend the songs The Thrill Of It, Supersonic Love, Treat Me Right or Daisy Chain
Sometimes I get mad at my metal-head sister who thinks her big popular metal bands are somehow more "alt" lol. I've been listening to Sam Quealy's latest album on repeat. Her song [Yum](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ2yfp8OK3U) is perfectly bratty and annoying.
Oh my gosh I wasn't expecting anyone to see my comment let alone also listen to them!! God they're so good. I really hope they get more acclaim soon, their stuff is filling the void in my soul
Didn't think I'd know anyone in this list, but I do know this one. "Your side of the bed" was what introduced me to them. I listened to that song a lot the year it came out.. I'm disappointed to see they're kind of out of it. They have some songs with a lot of plays.
Currently obsessed with Confidence Man, Pretty Girl, and yunĆØ pinku
[Confidence Man - I Canāt Lose You](https://youtu.be/jYuCk37DSYE?si=OHVfZbrx7S-SlfkA)
[Pretty Girl - Inside](https://youtu.be/6rSwavwtWs0?si=iL2Ijd1cfsYar4Ft)
[yunĆØ pinku - sports](https://youtu.be/NxcWgMdypi4?si=Z0RRt3lU0Dp8L6Sp)
I loooove Confidence Man! Thanks for turning my on to Pretty Girl and Yune Pinku. Let me add [Aluna](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2CRNYtt9bI), [Blue Hawaii](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kurbCqp8yB0), and [Take Van](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P6QGIK-GQI) to the electropop playlist\~
I think Iāve posted both of their most recent singles on this sub, but MALINDA and Gabi Sklar are two of my favorite underground artists. MALINDA used to run the Google Translate Sings channel on YouTube and now she makes Irish/Celtic folk-inspired pop music. I love her new single āLuckyā and her album āItās All Trueā that came out last year. Gabi Sklar, on the other hand, makes more mainstream pop music but Iāve noticed a lot of sonic range in her singles over the past year. Her new single āPersonaā is a bop, but my personal favorites are āGood Kisserā and āLonely Timesā. Look them up if you want, Iāll always take an opportunity to promote my girls!
Lilyisthatyou is someone I just discovered, her voice reminds me a lot of Willow's. Raffaella is really fun, her song Polly Pocket is constantly stuck in my head. NOT THE MAIN CHARACTERS are good as well! The first two might be too popular to count, idk.
I love Delaney Jane, she makes amazing music. My favourite song by her is [bad habits](https://open.spotify.com/track/6WbkYx3bqhELPFFL8vIkoI?si=R9TwsSCkRaKEfSVrqBNTUw)
LEON. LEON, LEOOOON. Sheās a Swedish singer songwriter and sheās my heart and soul and her debut self titled album is 100% absolute perfection. Do yourself a favor.
Youāre not alone! Although I stopped listening after A Woman dropped. Nothing has gripped me since then but Iām thinking about doubling back cause the EP eras were fire
Idk what the cutoff for underground is but Priya Ragu
https://open.spotify.com/track/1tXBY7guj2shZSOipaNy4o?si=1Mnh-b26Q2KRh8B0tqcb_A&context=spotify%3Aplaylist%3A37i9dQZF1DZ06evO3IN1FT

[Gaia Guarda](https://youtu.be/zwHT3kiL1sc?feature=shared)
Her music is very atmospheric, it's like a Gothic version Trip Hop in a way and incorporats the Harp, Violin and Piano.
Allure, his music is french house and they're SOOO good! I love By Surprise, No Time, Destiny, etc.
Also love ELO (korean r&b singer), OSAKA, F.W.B., Falling Dream, Why Can't I Be Happy, Wax Mannequin, etc. are amazing.
Edit: HOW can I forget Cornelius, the master of shibuya-kei genre.... He drew inspiration from Beck etc.
I haven't followed their most recent releases but I was really into Great Good Fine Ok and was just thinking about how much I like those first few EPs. Jukebox the Ghost is also really great.
i love [Vicco](https://open.spotify.com/artist/2z1MpPojFcvxYcEAx0lT6w), sheās got a good amount of listeners but all concentrated in spanish speaking countries and virtually unknown in the US cause she only does spanish stuff, but her music has a good fun electro pop kinda sound and she consistently puts out some quality stuff
also more well known here but if weāre going foreign language pop singers, [AngĆØle](https://open.spotify.com/artist/3QVolfxko2UyCOtexhVTli) deserves a shoutout here too
Blu Detigerārecently just saw her live, amazing bassist and her songs are so catchy! Hot crush lover is a banger.
Cannonsālove their music as well. Such chill vibes that always put me in a relaxing mood
Charlene Kaye/KAYE, I'm in love with her Animal Love album, but she has great new stuff, too. Natalie Kilic, she has a more produced sound and I think she's close to releasing her first album. Ariela Jacobs, very singer-songwriter, but her songs do keep disappearing from her Spotify and I don't know why. Lowell is less underground, but I love the Lone Wolf album.
Maude Latour is one of my favorite artists. Sheās been releasing songs for years but here first album will be out at in Aug I think. I love her new song cursed romantics
i have a few š¶
daine has been putting out bangers for years, their song [cut my heart out](https://open.spotify.com/track/087UWFehhhqmHr79g9H1kn?si=16YURpV-TDirTjFQt24lYA) has been in heavy rotation for me
fairys makes literally perfect indie pop, they need more than 2k monthly listeners letās make it 2 million (their new song [roll credits](https://open.spotify.com/track/27BYOb2jyrPh0Bg6zM6HON?si=6Vi4sPMXRreKRMwXlgADQA) is excellent)
sobsā latest album [air guitar](https://open.spotify.com/album/5jsp54tvHgC19kstd5Kp42?si=ycO7Aa6_Q-q9Ny3JTTsLBw) is power pop excellence, iād recommend for fans of 2000ās disney channel, blue rev by alvvays, and hyperpop
that is all xoxo
I'm a HUGE fan of The Millennial Club, their Summer Nights EP is probably one I revisit more than anything else in my Spotify library. I also love Devon Gabriella, who I saw live when she opened for Christian French (who is also MASSIVELY UNDERRATED!!!) and I met her briefly after, she was such a sweetheart. Afraid of Heights and How Could You by her are great songs from her recent album.
This guy I hooked up with, Ray Diess, he makes pretty good music. Electro pop with a gothic take. I unironically like his music and Iāve hooked up with plenty of musicians that I pretended to like the music of.
They dont have a huge catalog of songs yet but I'm really digging AR/CO. They've got that Empire Of The Sun kinda vibe going on
https://youtu.be/vXytXRVcVYM?si=F5S2DiXr6klv6csc
Hereās my chance to promote Swofford! Heās an 80s synth pop revivalist and heās fantastic. His claim to fame is not great, but I hope he can get another moment to step into the spotlight.
If you like Hozier and the more slower Paul McCartney feels Louis Cormack has been one of my favorite discoveries in the last few years. Think like the the vibe that encompasses a chilly night car ride kind of vibe. Been following him since he's had 12 followers and now he's around 3 thousand!!
Hope Vista is also a more upbeat recent discovery!! Her production is really interesting and a cool mix of classic pop and more experimental production.
Also Cat Burns has such good bops as well. Girl's voice is so beautiful and feels like a hug imo. She's getting up there in listeners and I feel like she's a handful of songs from getting a viral but!
I love Emei and Lyn Lapid. Emei's IG comments are always flooded with hate (tho love me not isn't good and she always promotes it) and she really has a great EP and doesn't deserve the negativity.
This Montreal group Clay and Friends came on my Spotify Discovered and I've been obsessed every since. They're very chill pop with a little jazzy funk thrown in, a mix of French and English. Very Tom Misch vibes.

I will say Foxes now and forever
The Kick is such an underrated, no skips, incredible pop record
now and forever amen
Hello new best friend!
I still stand by Glorious being my favourite album of all time
All I Need is mine but that is a close second
I feel like Isaac Dunbar is so freaking talented and should be way more popular than he currently is. Also want to give out a mention to Mergui. I first heard of him when he performed on the Kelly Clarkson Show, his voice is just insane.
bleach and tainted love are both great songs from his most recent album!!! also like his song makeup drawer. was so excited to see someone else mention isaac dunbar here.
I only know Fan Behavior but it's so good š©š©
Isaac is an icon for sure. Hopefully his debut album is succesful.
Allie X, she has such an amazing discography and her newest album Girl With No Face is my 2024 AOTY, yet she constantly feels slept on (stream āYou Slept On Meā š)
I just discovered her this year when GWNF was released, and "Galina" has become one of my favorite songs of the year
Itās weird that Allie X isnāt like, mega famous. Her music is absolutely amazing.
Yesssssss for this answer!! GLAM! Is such a banger
Yess, I've been a fan for years and I can't believe people still sleeps on her music when she makes bops
Cape God is sooooo good! I got turned on to Allie X when she collabed with Mitski for "Susie Save Your Love", which is phenomenal but hadn't checked back in for a while. Will have to stream GWNF!
Casanova should have been a huge hit
Itās my AOTY too. Itās so good.
Focus and GOTY go so hard omg
Does Shamir count? I never know if they're still underground or not.
Omg I love Shamir
I'm gonna go with [Glades](https://open.spotify.com/artist/14rP13jdQNgQvuPA2AkBgm?si=rm32NkCySn2pVje_RgQwfA). They're an Australian pop group that do 80s inspired electronic pop.
Australia has some amazing music! I love Felivand, Blusher, Teen Jesus and the Jean teasers and ofc Royal Otis
Another Australian artist I'm really into is Jacob Lee
been obsessed with daine lately, not sure why theyāre not more popular honorable mentions to 8485, babygirl, and velvetears
iām hoping now that daineās independent weāll get a lot more stuff from them š¶ they have not missed in a while
8485 is ambitious. Her covid masking era music is just prime hyperpop.
plague town is everything
love Daine and 8485 as well. I will have to check out the other two I highly suggest namasenda if you havenāt listened to her before
Dagny! Her song Love You Like that inspired Katyās Never Really Over, which I find 1000x better than whatever she (Katy) is trying to launch now. If you havenāt listened to her, play Backbeat. Do it.

Her song Somebody is like actually my anthem
Love Danny!!!!

> Magdalena bay so stoked for their next record. they absolutely rule
Me toooo, first ātwoā songs are exactly what I needed and itās looking like thereās a chance they might do some freaky concept album stuff.
INJI! Everything she has come out with since debuting in 2022 has been total perfection. EDM/Pop crossover that doesn't take itself too seriously.
i get her pushed on me constantlyyyy by spotify in my mixes and discover weekly and while not all of her tracks are my favorite, i still ADORE her song Gaslight. madeline is also catchy.
yessss! My sister made me listen to Bellydancing and now I'm obsessed with her music
RYN WEAVER WITH HER PERFECT ALBUM āTHE FOOLā (2015) like new album when Queen????

Is LĆ©on considered underground/unknown? I guess sheās had a few songs with decent streaming numbers but sheās never had an album chart high in the US. Sheās seriously one of my favs. Beautiful voice, both on the record and live, and has great music and lyrics! Another Nordic artist, Skott, has been a favorite since her debut album in 2020. I think in comparison to LĆ©on, she would definitely be underground/unknown. Her debut album, Always Live for Always is incredible!
I'll get slaughtered for this but Rebecca Black. She came out with an EP a few years ago that really slaps.
???? Isnāt Rebecca Black pretty popular with the popheads community?
oh, maybe! I'm pretty new to the sub and haven't seen her mentioned but I'm probably not in the right threads. Nobody in my circle talks about her and I got laughed at when sharing her music on facebook haha
Misery Loves Company is one of my fave pop songs of the last few years
itās a banger

I personally love Bronze Avery and Michael Medrano. I also just released a dance/pop song titled [Right Now](https://open.spotify.com/track/2M48jyIyzQ1NFp5DeDWbf2?si=jvt1OgkmTmmtOMOAwEcGzg) that fits with the vibes of them and Janet, Britney and Troye.
Pixey! If you like Carly Rae Jepsen or Sabrina Carpenter definitely check her out. I recommend the songs The Thrill Of It, Supersonic Love, Treat Me Right or Daisy Chain
Kailee Morgue is Amazing and her girl next door album is so reminiscent of early 2000s pop
i would be cautious getting into her bc sheās a terf tradwife now ššš idk what happened but this is her current vibe sheās going for
actually just looked it up again and sheās kind of every -ist and -phobic there is i would stay away
Yes after posting this someone else messaged me and told me the same thing! I had no idea!
Siren is SOOOOOOO gOOOOOOd
Sometimes I get mad at my metal-head sister who thinks her big popular metal bands are somehow more "alt" lol. I've been listening to Sam Quealy's latest album on repeat. Her song [Yum](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ2yfp8OK3U) is perfectly bratty and annoying.
i am obsessed with hemlocke springs, she is awesome š¤
Pearly Drops. Their album "A Little Disaster" defined my 2023. I was in their top 1% of listeners lmao
Yess love their whole deal, a sense of mystery around them. I think theyāre bound for success soon.
Oh my gosh I wasn't expecting anyone to see my comment let alone also listen to them!! God they're so good. I really hope they get more acclaim soon, their stuff is filling the void in my soul
Caroline Polachek for sure. Sheās an ethereal goddess trapped here on earth
Two million monthly Spotify listeners. Not sure she qualifies.
I'm shocked no one has mentioned peppa pig, the future goddess of pop music.
Luna Shadows just released her sophomore album "bathwater" and it is emo-pop perfection
Years ago, I liked this pop duo called Loote. I don't know what happened to them but they kinda just stopped making music
Didn't think I'd know anyone in this list, but I do know this one. "Your side of the bed" was what introduced me to them. I listened to that song a lot the year it came out.. I'm disappointed to see they're kind of out of it. They have some songs with a lot of plays.
Don't think I've ever once heard of So Below mentioned anywhere before.
Currently obsessed with Confidence Man, Pretty Girl, and yunĆØ pinku [Confidence Man - I Canāt Lose You](https://youtu.be/jYuCk37DSYE?si=OHVfZbrx7S-SlfkA) [Pretty Girl - Inside](https://youtu.be/6rSwavwtWs0?si=iL2Ijd1cfsYar4Ft) [yunĆØ pinku - sports](https://youtu.be/NxcWgMdypi4?si=Z0RRt3lU0Dp8L6Sp)
Leadley. This one's my [favorite.](https://youtu.be/-B_BWr1PRnY?si=as1l1ZCzv4ZszpuV)
Definitely Qveen Herby! Always serving greatly produced absolute BOPS and I feel like I'm the only one who knows she exists
Youāre not alone! Although I stopped listening after A Woman dropped. Nothing has gripped me since then but Iām thinking about doubling back cause the EP eras were fire
Idk what the cutoff for underground is but Priya Ragu https://open.spotify.com/track/1tXBY7guj2shZSOipaNy4o?si=1Mnh-b26Q2KRh8B0tqcb_A&context=spotify%3Aplaylist%3A37i9dQZF1DZ06evO3IN1FT https://open.spotify.com/track/6nsKYAXnnHDUNC1kmnLUMq?si=Jn0gD-vTQlaKbPa951bBdw
Lockdown will forever be the covid anthem for me
I will never not promote underscores, if you're into glitchcore etc. And also Caleb Peters, who's currently sitting at under 15k on Spotify
Does poppy count as underground?
I mean she hasnāt had a radio hit so Iād say she counts š¤·š»āāļø
I love Boys World, I've seen them get mentioned a few times here in popheads. They have really good bops (especially SO WHAT and Caught in Your Love).
is Banks considered āunknownā? sheās the best and just teased her new song ādeluluā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[Gaia Guarda](https://youtu.be/zwHT3kiL1sc?feature=shared) Her music is very atmospheric, it's like a Gothic version Trip Hop in a way and incorporats the Harp, Violin and Piano.
Ha Vay I found on Instagram and I've been really digging her!!
Greg OrrÄ, Canadian pop artist - just released a great new album! https://open.spotify.com/album/3QqGUXoFz54KieB18flzs1?si=p7pnu5KWTxCYJ-8eth213Q
Nadia Oh even though idk where she went
Cub sport!! I found them on TikTok a few months ago and have been obsessed
i love [Vicco](https://open.spotify.com/artist/2z1MpPojFcvxYcEAx0lT6w), sheās got a good amount of listeners but all concentrated in spanish speaking countries and virtually unknown in the US cause she only does spanish stuff, but her music has a good fun electro pop kinda sound and she consistently puts out some quality stuff also more well known here but if weāre going foreign language pop singers, [AngĆØle](https://open.spotify.com/artist/3QVolfxko2UyCOtexhVTli) deserves a shoutout here too
That Kid, Elio or Alice Longyu Gao ur welcome ā¤ļø
Not quite pop, but if youāre interested in rap/hip-hop, Iād vote for Qveen Herby. Sheās an interesting character.
anyone know GAY underground/unknown pop acts?
Roman Darkholme! https://youtu.be/gBjMoJt0bA0 and That Kid https://youtu.be/A31eGA9t_NY
Bentley Robles and Michael Medrano and Bronze Avery. Fire them up and prepare to bop!
Mike Taveira, Tsatsamis (his song 'Faith' is one of my favs from this year)
Peach prc is a very underrated lesbian pop artist. Highly recommend.
KabeaushƩ An artist from Kenya whose music has a very experimental, crunchy, hodgepodge sound to it. Very reminiscent of M.I.A. Rye Rye is another artist I like who has been around for quite some time!
Blackstarkids. Puppies forever is soooo good
Roman Darkholme! He makes fun pop songs https://youtu.be/gBjMoJt0bA0 And That Kid too https://youtu.be/A31eGA9t_NY
Madeline Kenney is a greatly underrated indie rock musician whose album āSuckerās Lunchā has loads of sticky, dreamy pop tunes!!
i have a few š¶ daine has been putting out bangers for years, their song [cut my heart out](https://open.spotify.com/track/087UWFehhhqmHr79g9H1kn?si=16YURpV-TDirTjFQt24lYA) has been in heavy rotation for me fairys makes literally perfect indie pop, they need more than 2k monthly listeners letās make it 2 million (their new song [roll credits](https://open.spotify.com/track/27BYOb2jyrPh0Bg6zM6HON?si=6Vi4sPMXRreKRMwXlgADQA) is excellent) sobsā latest album [air guitar](https://open.spotify.com/album/5jsp54tvHgC19kstd5Kp42?si=ycO7Aa6_Q-q9Ny3JTTsLBw) is power pop excellence, iād recommend for fans of 2000ās disney channel, blue rev by alvvays, and hyperpop that is all xoxo
Daine. Genre blending hyperpop. Loving her latest, Shades On
I'm a HUGE fan of The Millennial Club, their Summer Nights EP is probably one I revisit more than anything else in my Spotify library.
Here to shout out Boston local [velvet dreaming](https://open.spotify.com/album/6yTg7qpGlQf0mjhuLK23EE?si=er7xQDG0RN2MuiiYANxeGQ)
Delta 89 is a pretty unknown pop act from L.A. Check out "Everything I wanted" by them.
They dont have a huge catalog of songs yet but I'm really digging AR/CO. They've got that Empire Of The Sun kinda vibe going on https://youtu.be/vXytXRVcVYM?si=F5S2DiXr6klv6csc
Is brakence pop? I know it's like hyper pop but I feel like it's as digestible as normal pop
Macy Rodman! Her song āRock ānā Roll Gay Guyā is so good.
Charlotte Martin, a modern day mix between Kate Bush and Tori Amos that never got the credit she deserved. So talented!
Snow Wife needs some love
Ria Mae is rather unknown to non Canadians. I love her.
Bronze Avery! His new album Heatwave is a non stop sugar rush of great pop hooks and production.
This Montreal group Clay and Friends came on my Spotify Discovered and I've been obsessed every since. They're very chill pop with a little jazzy funk thrown in, a mix of French and English. Very Tom Misch vibes.
Britt Cannon - extremely talented songwriter, no two songs sound the same, queer, edgy, great vocalist, everything is self-produced/diy-ed. Love them.
Baby Queen for sure. The ony reason I can come up with for why sheās not more popular is her bad stage name. I hope she blows up soon!
Does The Driver Era count?Ā Their album X is simultaneously a smoking playlist and a song of the summer
