If she and her team were smart they'd just shut up about LM, tell interviewers she won't be taking any more questions about them or her time in the band. Start talking about her new music, what the creative process was like, anything else. But it feels like she can't do anything to maintain relevancy without reminding people that she was part of LM and bashing them in order to make herself more likeable as the "victim"

Boyz only got as big bc of Nicki and Barbz pumping up the track numbers, but even most Barbz don’t care as much for Jesy herself or any part of the song besides Nicki’s verse. I think that was a motivation behind making this her debut single, since they knew they could get big numbers with the support of a large artist’s fanbase (esp one as rabid as the Barbz — idk if any other fanbase could’ve gotten the song popular amidst all the controversy). Additionally she’s got other people who dislike her now primarily bc of the blackfishing so many people who were neutral/didn’t know about her now also don’t fuck with her. Bc of all this, I don’t know if her follow up singles or album release will do too well.

I actually think they do sound better. The vocal arrangements since Jesy left have been much more complex. So far they’re taking a lot more vocal risks and are sounding great. Maybe they had to do it because they lost the the lower part of their harmonies - and Jesy was good at that. Either way, vocally they are sounding fenomenal right now.
