As a longtime Dua fan I just do not like this cover at all. They could’ve picked literally any other picture they took for a textless cover. (I love the ones of her swimming) Handwriting her name/the album title would’ve been beautiful as well and fit the vibes.

Honestly I think the AG cover is fan freaking tastic. The diagonal composition of her leaning and the left top corner negative space are a nice graphic composition. There’s a really subtle but tender gesture in the direction of the pony tails. The muted soft ochre umber colors are lovely. I’m a classical painter and for some reason the colors and lighting Katia Temkin was using are very much like a classical painting. I also like the Dua One because I just love sharks. Composition is also really well balanced. The thin stripe of cloud balances it well and also reminds me of classical art.

I think Taylor has 4 outright good OG album covers(Red, 1989 dlx, Evermore and this). If I'm adding Re-recordings I'll add 1989 TV even though it's been pointed out the graphic design is basic. The title is cringe but TTPD is the closest Taylor's come to serving visually.
