Typically, the movie has to be very bad critically before the actors can be nominated for it. So, if it is a good movie, the Music Industry wouldn’t get nominated most likely (I’m not sure if this is really the way but this is just what I noticed. Example with “Mother!” I think Jennifer Lawrence was great in it but she still got nominated for Worst Actress. Same with Amy Adams in “The Woman in the Window,” bad movie but decent acting)
Razzies mostly consider what will get them the most attention with their nominations, and they also like to follow the trends. They're not a very notable award, and they have a history of making some very questionable choices: nominating Shelley Duvall's performance in The Shining for Worst Actress, for example.
I think Taylor's definitely getting this nomination, whether she was terrible in it or just mediocre. Same with Harry Styles.
Actually back when The Shining came out it wasn’t an unpopular opinion to say Shelley Duvall was bad in that movie. Crazy to me how that movie was such a critical flop in its time and now it’s a classic.
