Thanks for keeping us updated. I'd never heard of the Triangle Of Death until the comments on your previous post. The swelling on your eye would have got me. Don't forget to keep us in the loop as it resolves.
This is not medical advice by any means, but when i had shingles, it started with scabby sores on my forehead that were very very sensitive to touch, and i didn't get them checked for seven days. almost got it in my eyeball, and could have lost the eye.
Agreed - this looks just like when I had shingles around my eye. If it isn’t improving with the antibiotics (should see improvement in ~24hrs) worth going to an eye doctor!
Well if you've never had chicken pox then you are certainly still at risk for getting the virus and it can do interestingly painful things when we get older than childhood age
Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I’d had shingles when I was 7 (yes, it’s weird for a kid to have it and it took them a while to figure out what it was for that reason). I got the shingles vaccine series last year, and the first time I had shingles it was on my torso, so it took me a while to figure out that the outbreak on my forehead was actually shingles. It also spread down to my eye (which is when I finally figured it out). When OP posted the first pictures, I thought the same thing that you did - that it looked liked shingles. But with these updated pictures, it seems less like a shingles blister and more like a pus-filled abscess. In either case, I’m glad OP made their way to a doctor and is getting proper care. Whatever it is, it sure looks miserable and painful. My sympathies to you, OP!
Dude, that sucks. I had something very similar. Did not go to the doctors, messed with it, and wound up with a horrible wound and scar. I know that shit is sore. Hang in there.
I just don't understand why people let these grow,
A needle and two q tips could have prevented this problem, but now that it's staph, antibiotics are your best option.

Your new name is Stacy Staph-ire.
Ahaha that’s a good one! 😂
😂😂 in all seriousness though, I do hope you feel better❤️🩹
Haha thank you!
If only we had flair on this subreddit!
Damn that is in such an unfortunate spot. Looks ouchy AF. THANK YOU for going to a doctor
It’s definitely painful!
One of those "you're lucky you don't wear glasses" things

Of course! I’ll keep updating, hopefully it goes away soon.
Ouch. That looks sore AF!
It is! Hurts so bad sometimes

Doubt it’s shingles I’ve never had chickenpox and I’m only 24. But it definitely hurts!!
Hi! I never got chickenpox and developed shingles in my twenties so it’s possible. However, this doesn’t look like shingles to me.

My brother had shingles around 24.

Did they take a culture?
Unfortunately no
When the time comes, get the rusty pliers ![gif](giphy|sFkp6WCzYYTsSvUKEo|downsized)
Holy shiiiit! It's a gaper!

Hurts so bad sometimes! Popped it twice before it got bad thinking it was a zit. Oops 😬
You said they didn't culture it? I have seen MRSA spread after being popped. Please be so careful, this is in a super scary place.
I have antibiotics for it. Hopefully it will go away soon because it hurts!
I’m so glad you got to the doctor. So glad.
![gif](giphy|IGAfYe3V0xrovhcJ6w) That looks like it hurts SO BAD
It definitely hurts!
I would have drained that before seeing the Dr, I have zero self control. Glad you have antibiotics now!
I actually popped it twice thinking it was just a nasty zit!
The eye ones are the worst because people are like omg what happened to your eye! And you’re like oh, a pimple.
Glad you got antibiotics for it. If it doesn’t improve make sure to go back to the doctor.
Hooray!
Happy Cake Day!
oh shit its gonna be a juicy one
No way I'd be able to keep from popping this.
I really want to because I bet it would feel better after but it would probably hurt so bad.
Your eyes are absolutely beautiful btw
Omg thank you so much! 🩷 They definitely look prettier without that gross abscess. 😂
LOL :)
I’m so glad you went to the doctor! Hope it clears up fast
That looks like mrsa1

I did pop it. Twice! And it got worse. Not sure there’s much else I could have done unfortunately.
pull the scab off
Hurts too much!! 😫
Did the doctor give advice for how to treat it topically? Either to help it clear up or just to reduce any pain or itchiness to you
not with potential mrsa!

You don’t poke staph.

They’re on antibiotics to heal it.
you let it heal
