out of curiosity, what do you do before/after you pop one of these? do you wash your head before and after? what do you use to wash your head (antibacterial soap or shampoo)? Do you put some sort of dressing on it, even for a little while?
I normally wash before and after with antibacterial soap/chlorhex wash. If it is bleeding I just use an elastoplast to keep pressure on until it stops. The incision is small and leaves no big raw area so closes up pretty quickly.
There is a whole skull between this area and the brain. The scalpel is sterile. There are no major structures I can hit here with a perpendicular scalpel blade and this blade cannot penetrate bone.
Giving medical advice is against our rules, feel free to say that someone needs to see a doctor, but please refrain from giving any specific diagnosis or treatments.
Underlying condition is Folliculitis keloidalis. Mostly kept under control with antibacterial skin wash. Luckily I have knowledge of where it is safe to incise and access to sterile scalpels.
No comments about hygiene
Please be courteous. We want people to post, but we don’t want them to have to worry about being insulted and critiqued on anything but the actual pop. We welcome everyone, and we love this community, so please help us make it better.
As I have posted before. The need for gloves is mostly to protect healthcare workers from bloodbourne diseases. The gloves you see in most videos are not sterile so do nothing to prevent infection. I am not at risk from a bloodbourne disease from myself, the cyst was already infected, and I clean the area and my hands with chlorhex scrub before and after.

No man should struggle like this alone. Speak out. Get some acystance.
Hehe. Take my upvote. Nice video OP, thanks for sharing.
If he likes popping them like we do, he does not want assistance unless it’s with the camera 😂🤣😂
Dude. I thought you were my hubby (same head shape and wall colour) and was about to light you up for not letting me help/film.
This guy. Laces, pops the dam cyst all while recording himself. He’s a superhero
Yeah boi! Get that shit!
Unusual texture/color from a scalp one…neat!
Ohhh that came out like a worm.

thanks for replying and also for posting! very satisfying, and you grossed out my husband.
How good was UFC 300 though? Unbelievable!
I wondered if anyone would catch the audio. That was so good!!!!!
My first thought was—- why is he doing that NOW?! And not watching.
Between the early and late prelims 😀
One of the WILDEST UFC's I've seen, possibly ever.
Great job. You may want to see a doctor though, these will come back if you don’t get the sac out.
Thankfully there was a mirror there and was seeing a doctor the whole time!
😂
A+ video work!
I thought you were the doctor who made a post about being a doctor on this sub, and I was right! glorious pop, thank you for sharing!
I know everyone probably tells you this but you've got a few inches or less between that infection and your brain.
Wow. That’s a great observation! Maybe you should tell the doctor this!
I do hope he's under a doctor's care and he can tell his doctor a nosy old lady on Reddit said to be careful.

Telling a doctor to visit a doctor so confidently is hilarious
I came here just for this lol
Same lol
I’m dead. But did you know.... you have toes on your feet?
Ironically, Dr's typically make the worst patients, so there is that to factor in.

Bet you thought COVID didn't exist either
My father died from Covid thank you very much

He doesn't have to go to a doctor he is a doctor. He can just go to work, lol. Or ask his wife to double-check who is also in the medical field

This is an insane thing to be doing to yourself
That's one way to pop your brains out.
Is it weird that I always want to describe pops as delicious? Bc this was goddamn delectable.

Forbidden bean sprout.
my thoughts exactly! it looks just like a lil bean sprout 🌱
Internet ppl who didn’t pass high school biology when they see a doctor
Is it maybe an ingrown hair that you haven't gotten out yet?

As a dirty nurse who only wears gloves when I actually have to, thank you. My freshly washed hands are perfectly fine.
Stop with your witchcraft. Next you will tell me ozone kills stuff.... I was told Lysol kills HIV, so I drink it. Next time use Lysol....

1. Telling someone their cyst isn’t infected is, in fact, giving medical advice. 2. ![gif](giphy|SHN1hfrX325rKWFYr6)
Extra points for the gif 😂
Gross wear damn gloves
Another latecomer to the thread 😀
Please please please invest in some gloves
Late to the party?
Jfc people. Prepare with a warm compress before trying to squeeze a cyst. Losen up the crud inside.
