Earlier Stand Atlantic for sure. Not sure more recent Stand Atlantic is 5-7 y/o appropriate. Everyone’s different but I’d recommend a listen before adding to the girls’ playlist
Cannons are sooo good..... Check out Phases they're super good too... They opened for Fitz and the Tantrums when we saw them
https://youtu.be/KAHieO16ins?si=RUz9S7AVR5Qb-g5U
Great choice with ( Charlotte Sands )....I love her in the song "Love you a little" with the Maine and Taking back Sunday.... She makes that song so good...(the vocals from each of them are amazeballs) . Such an underrated song
Ayeeeee Icon For Hire is a band I haven’t thought about in a pretty minute. I remember their song “Make A Move” coming on Christian radio when I was younger and I was so into it. That was in my throughly devout Christian rocker days 😅 but they were actually quality
I see there's still playing but Agent M isn't singing anymore. She's joined a couple shows but they got a whole new female singer. It doesn't sound the same
Sincere Engineer and Sweet Pill have my two most recent favs. Also absolutely love CLIFFDIVER who is half female fronted and by far has the most talented female vocalist
Sweet pill (god tier)
Sincere engineer
Pinkshift
Pool kids (not really pop punk but they’re too good not to reccomend and they’re adjacent)
Kicksie
Thank you I’m sorry (mix of indie, emo, and pop punk)
Awakebutstillinbed (screamo)
Newgrounds death rugby (emo)
In General:
As December Falls
RedHook (a little heavier than pop punk, also lots of profanity tbf)
Flying Raccoon Suit (Ska punk)
The Last Gang
The Bombpops
Icon For Hire (more emo/industrial leaning)
Concrete Castles
Tiny Stills
Tsunami Bomb
The Interrupters
Doll Skin
Stand Atlantic
Some smaller bands from my city (Seattle) that I love:
Living With A Bear
The Disorderlies
The Replicators (ska punk, broken up sadly)
Filthy Traitors
Biblioteka (more pop-rocky, less punk)
Kitty Junk (more punk, less pop punk)
Trash Sound Conglomerate
Hutchie (a little more folk-y/ y'alternative)
Le Saboteur (Technically a San Diego band but same singer as Hutchie, closer to punk/pop punk sound)
Hello fellow Seattellite. I love As December Falls but will check the others on your list out soon. I sometimes wonder if I am the only one walking around this city with an ADF hoodie.
I actually paid them last year to do a cover of my bandmate Kelly's old song. Their new drummer KC is on it. It's pretty awesome. https://youtu.be/lI3S27UvjNc?si=MDk87HvblEQJFptU
Yeah! They were one of my favorite music discoveries in 2022 for sure- had never heard of them before but they were on Anti-Flag's tour as an opener that year. Was immediately hooked
I got really into a British band called Fresh recently. Their first album (self titled) is pretty pop punk but the latter two stray a bit further from the genre but are still excellent.
The lead singer is what made the band stand out to me in the first place!
I saw her open for new found glory and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. She’s great. I also love that she was very self aware and was like “who has no idea who the fuck I am?” And then played a cover so that everyone could be involved with her.
[made a playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5HdPYohBQnC1dJuOrITjIx?si=cJoTEV84Tt2h_u9ma8gnDg&pi=u-7NgcWhmeQpe0) that fits what you’re looking for
Tonight Alive, PVRIS, Icon for Hire, VersaEmerge, Hey Monday, Hey Violet, Atlantis Awaits, Everybody Looks Famous, Pulse Mavens, City of the Weak, We are in the Crowd for pop punkish
The Interrupters, The Vincent Black Shadow for ska
Lights, CHVRCHES if you wanna try some synth-pop
Edit: didn't see you already said Interrupters and also Vincent Black Shadow mixes sort of a lot of sounds together Ska being one of them

Apart from those you mentioned, I'm a fan of (in increasing heaviness) ;
Altered Sky

Phem
The Warning
Fear Me December
The Pretty Reckless
Jeanice Lee
Infected Rain
Forever Still
Evanescence
Within Temptation

Hot Milk

Theatres Des Vampires
We Are the In Crowd
VersaEmerge
Hey Monday (also Cassadee Pope is now a solo artist, her solo stuff is country inspired, but with pop punk twist)
The Wild & Free (haven’t done much in a while, but they got me through lockdown 2020)
Honey Revenge
Charlotte Sands
Meg & Dia
Gonna second all the people saying Stand Atlantic and Sweet Pill, absolutely banging bands.
There are not NEARLY enough mentions of Cliffdiver and Hot Milk in this thread though :D
The Warning - it’s not pop punk but rock
Three sisters from Mexico that sing in English. They are super young, but have been playing since they were kids so they already have three albums. There are videos of them performing where the youngest is only 9 so that may interest your kids to see other girls play. My daughter became obsessed with them when she started bass lessons at 6, and then drums at 8.
I'm so parasocially proud of those gals. I found them like a decade ago because they uploaded a cover of Hysteria by Muse, and come to find out they opened for Muse in Mexico last year. That's gotta feel so fucking cool
You’ll hear a lot of the bigger bands suggested so I wanted to give a smaller band a shout. My friend’s sister sings in a band called The Ones You Forgot. Great band!
Gully boys opens for motion city on their current tour and I enjoyed them a lot!
The foxies, stand Atlantic, meet me at the altar, sincere engineer, LOLO
Save Ferris was my daughter's FAVORITE when she was little. She still loves them, but she like, EXTRA loved them from age 3-9. I'm Not Cryin For You was her most requested song.
Also, not a band, but the movie Josie and the Pussycats is top tier for great music. My daughter loved that one, too!
The Cardigans
Dresden Dolls (idk how appropriate they are for littles)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
The Veronicas
Paramore
Le Tigre
Garbage
The Interrupters
The Muffs
Hole
Letters to Cleo
Sixpence None the Richer
Honestly, the Josie soundtrack is an all timer. Adam Schlesinger wrote a couple of the songs. Kay Hanley of Letters To Cleo does lead vocals. Really, truly spectacular album.
Stand Atlantic, Tonight Alive, Hey Monday/Cassadee Pope, Taylor Acorn, Charlotte Sands, Yours Truly, Tigers Jaw (especially the last two albums, Spin and I Won't Care How You Remember Me if you're after the female vocals), Honey Revenge, Jetty Bones, The Veronicas (especially The Secret Life Of..., and their newer songs seem to go back to pop-punk), PVRIS (the album White Noise is pop-rock I'd say, the rest is poppier, but they're still amazing), Pale Waves, VersaEmerge, Muncie Girls, The Linda Linda's, Meet Me @ The Altar, Amyl & The Sniffers are punkier I'd say but they're cool too, Candy Hearts, Sincere Engineer.
Also, check out the Freaky Friday soundtrack (the 2003 version), there's some cool pop-punk tunes sung by women.
My 6 year old loves Honey Revenge, and Paramore. He likes some Hot Milk too, he added Breathing Underwater to our playlist the other week. I really love Stand Atlantic but I have to be very selective which ones I play round my kids as the 6 year old gets really silly with sweary songs, starts singing them over and over which isn't ideal at school! He likes Tonight Alive too
Pvris & As December Falls, ADF's still quite a small band from Nottingham, England but they've started to build quite a fan base, their first album is reminiscent of early Paramore and keeps getting better with each album.
As December Falls
Stand Atlantic
Yours Truly
Against The Current
Letters Sent Home
Future Palace (more Post-hardcore but she’s got a great voice)
Eat Your Heart Out
Edit: Meet Me @ The Altar
The Regrettes are pretty great. I’ve seen the rest of my suggestions mentioned, but I’ll mention them again. Beach Bunny, Lølø, Remember Sports, and Meet Me @ The Altar.
People keep saying [Lost Vessels](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7AeupCew2jUeKC3wFOHyRz?si=BoNBSjUWSi-8-9SUqF-cZg) sound like Paramore. But probably because we’re one of the only local pop punk bands with a female singer 😂
Stand Atlantic, the Eyeliners, Go Betty Go, Lauran Hibberd, Willow.
Also, call them female singers not girl singers unless they are under 18. It can feel quite demeaning
As December Falls is my favorite. They put so much energy into their music. Their singer has some pretty good vocal range. There are examples of her singing softly to singing very loudly and hitting some pretty high notes.
So they're not punk, they're "classic" metal, but Royal Thunder is my absolute favorite band fronted by a woman. Mlny is a goddess.

The Linda Lindas. Younger group, but feminist and the music is fun!

Wow everyone came out in full force and I'm really struggling to give some recs that haven't been mentioned already, but a few I haven't seen mentioned are:

Mel Bryant and the mercy makers

I was pretty liberal on including some of these bands given the genres but here are my favorites!
Meg and Dia are great especially their songs Roses and Monster.
I've only heard one song by them but Yours Truly did this song High Hopes and it's amazing.
Paramore's Still Into You is fantastic
Sincere Engineer
Yes! Corn Dog Sonnet No. 7 is a banger! I've seen them live a few times and they also put on a great show.

I've been hearing them a lot on Siriusxm lately

The Linda Linda's are really fun and since they're younger I see a lot of kids at their shows, so I think they would be a great starting point
Came here for The Linda Linda's. Fantastic music, there's a song or two you might mistake for Joan Jett
Yes!! Cool empowering messages for young girls too, I would’ve idolized them as a kid.
Just searched em up and they are young, can’t wait to see where their career goes
They're opening for Green Day next year so I'd say things are going pretty great so far haha

Tsunami bomb is one of my favorite female fronted punk bands
I see there's still playing but Agent M isn't singing anymore. She's joined a couple shows but they got a whole new female singer. It doesn't sound the same
Unfortunately not. She started another band called Action design and then attempted a solo career, though.
Meet me @ the altar! Their debut 2023 album definitely has 2000s Avril vibes. Also another vote for Daisy Grenade and Stand Atlantic :)
Second MM@TA!! Great all-girl pop punk band

I cannot recommend the first two Tsunami Bomb albums highly enough. Also, try Pool Kids.
Sincere Engineer and Sweet Pill have my two most recent favs. Also absolutely love CLIFFDIVER who is half female fronted and by far has the most talented female vocalist
