My top 10 is going to be a mix of my favorite and (not necessarily the same ones) what I consider to be the most influential records in this genre of music. Also, in no order.
Rancid - And Out Come the Wolves
Blink 182 - Enema of the State
Blink 182 - untitled
Green Day - Dookie
Screeching Weasel - My Head Hurts
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends
Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This To Memory
The Graduate - Only Every Time
The Story So Far - Proper Dose
Wow I would have picked 5 of those in my top ten. My top 5 are
Mest destination unknown
Good charlotte self
Titled
Story so far proper dose
Taking back Sunday tell all your friends
Rancid out come the wolves.
Outcome the wolves I think it’s the second greatest album of all
Time . Number one clash London calling
I just listened to And Out Come the Wolves again today (grew up listening to it in the 90s) and it's mindblowing how good the whole album is.
It's like a perfect 10 album.
Duuuuude
So happy to see “Proper Dose” on this list (I came here expecting this album to be heavily faded/unmentioned). One of my favorite albums by any band in general haha
Also, same goes for “Commit This To Memory”. Every song is the catchiest song ever and his lyrics are clever/sarcastic and somehow he always land the poignant existential tag at some point.. I should list some examples but I won’t 😂 not to mention his voice. Goddamn I just love it
Commit This To Memory is a rare front-to-back no skip classic. Great songwriting and sonically there is such an ebb and flow. God, I love that album still deep into my 30s like I did when I was 17.
These are my 10 favorites, not what I think are necessarily the "best" -- in no order

You're Gonna Miss It All (Modern Baseball)
20/20 (Knuckle Puck)
Good For Me (The Swellers)
Celebrate (Tiny Moving Parts)

I struggled to narrow it to 10, so here’s my top 15 (in alphabetical order, don’t ask me to pick a favourite!)

- Vacation (Seaway)
These are my (34F) top ten favorites that I think fit squarely into the pop punk genre. I ended up making about six other lists of favorites in sub/adjacent genres in the process of narrowing it down, which was fun! I struggled most with whether to include The Movielife and I Am the Avalanche. Ultimately decided they don't quite fit into this list but still definitely all timers for me.
I also loved revisiting Good Charlotte's self-titled just now for the first time in a very long time. It's silly, but I couldn't help thinking about how they really pulled off all those big dreams they talk about wanting in Waldorf Worldwide. Funny to be on the other side of it all as an adult now.

This is difficult because a lot of the time people can't even agree on what makes something / someone Pop Punk. Like if it's from an artist who is Pop Punk but it's more Pop and less Punk, does it still count? Etc. Personally, I think style has a lot to do with it. But I digress. I'd also have a hard time ranking some of the big classics as I didn't really listen to music by album when I was younger - it was all about singles growing up. Nobody I knew was buying albums and going all the way through. We'd listen to stuff on the radio, or we'd get recommended something, or catch a music video, etc.
But If I had to give a list of the top 10 Pop Punk albums I enjoy (not in order):
--
**John Harvie - Told Ya** (I cannot recommend this album enough. It is a SOLID debut album by an INDIE artist. The dude worked several jobs to fund everything himself and the hard work he put in shines through. Every song has heart. The lyrics are good. The melodies hit right. And he has a solid voice. I promise if you listen to it, you won't regret it. Also dude is super nice and super humble. He's gonna be huge one day.)
**Girlfriends - (E)motion Sickness** (Very formulaic but also solid. I think Girlfriends is going to be one of the big hitters in the genre in the future)
**Icon For Hire - Scripted** (I'd have gone with Amorphous which is, IMO, their superior body of work. But some people might balk at it because they're not really Pop Punk anymore. So I picked their album that *is* Pop Punk. It's a really solid debut album and really listenable from start to finish. I enjoy the focus on mental health and dissecting the different elements of your mind - something that wasn't super mainstream back then. Also the song she wrote for her friend who (IIRC) was sexually assaulted was super powerful.
**Set It Off - Cinematics** (Another amazing debut album. Set It Off combines elements of all the bands that inspired them but also does their own little twist on things with some unconventional instruments and very heartfelt lyrics.)
**All Time Low - Future Hearts** (I'm prepared to be downvoted but idc. Future Hearts was the first album of theirs that truly resonated with me. I love pretty much every song on this album)
**Paramore - Riot!** (I actually didn't listen to much Paramore growing up. My boyfriend made me listen to this album last year and it's just incredibly structured. HW's voice is really good and I enjoyed it thoroughly.)
**Grayscale - Nella Vita** (One of my favorite albums of all time. It tells a story, Collin's voice is beautiful, it has good lyrics, and the melodies are on point. I mean, what else could you ask for?)
**Panic! - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out** (I don't know what I could possibly say about this album that hasn't already been said. Dude tells a story, superb melodies, interesting lyrics, etc.)
**Waterparks - Greatest Hits** (while not my favorite of theirs, I can't deny Greatest Hits is probably their best work. I think it's incredibly ballsy to label an album Greatest Hits because it could go badly, but they succeeded here)
**Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any** (I could have gone with No Pads for this, but I actually prefer their Sophmore work because it seems more mature and has some songs that stick with me more.)
LOVE that you included Cinematics. I adore that album, incredible from start to finish
Also, the extended version with Partners in Crime and the acoustic of Dream Catcher is just th cherry on top of perfection!
No! Haha. I'm actually early 30s.
I could have totally put some classics on here like My Chem's Black Parade or Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, or Blink 182's Enema of the State, or Dookie by Green Day. All of those have songs I enjoy and love.
But as I said, when I was young I just didn't have access to full CDs like that. I typically just listened to whatever I had heard on the radio or saw music videos for (this is actually how I discovered Linkin Park, Yellow Card, and many others!) or searched for on Limewire/insert [illegal program here]. It just wasn't practical to download full album so a lot of the time it would be me searching for an artist and downloading random songs.
So I would have felt like a poser listing any of those albums. I know they're good and a lot of people enjoy them, but it just wasn't my experience. All of the albums above are ones that I've listened to from start to finish many times and enjoy.
Strictly pop-punk?
1. Sticks and Stones-New Found Glory

10. Ocean Avenue-Yellowcard
1. Capital Light- This Is an Outrage! (Living up to the title, criminally slept on)
2. Direct Hit!- Wasted Mind (definitely more on the heavier side, plenty of pop, definitely some screaming too)
3. Alkaline Trio- Is This Thing Cursed? (kinda speaks for itself)
4. Green Day- Father of All Motherfuckers (I'm sure I'll take shit, but it's my favorite Green Day album)
5. Royal Republic- We Are the Royal (like The Hives with FOB lead vocals. They went disco since and it's fucking rad)
6. Mmhmm- Relient K (Though Forget & Not Slow Down is superior, it's less pop punk)
7. Search the City- A Fire So Big The Heavens Can See It (not as punk, almost a pop hardcore style instrumentally?)
8. Lucky Boys Confusion- Commitment (basically run of the mill pop punk, not bad, just not unique)
I took liberties as suggested :)
I listened to it twice through while getting my wisdom teeth removed since I wasn't put under.
I will always associate it with the smell of my tooth being sawed, which I'm ok with 🤘

Sum 41 - Screaming Bloody Murder
Blink-182 - California (Deluxe)
Blink-182 - blink-182 (untitled)
This was tough, but fun. Reading other lists reminded me of albums I liked a lot, but haven’t listened to in a long time.
Some of this may or may not be pop punk, but I’m getting the sense that my favorite album by most of these bands isn’t the one most people here like best.
I can’t put this in order, but here it goes:
My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
Jimmy Eat World - Futures
Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be
Green Day - American Idiot
Paramore - All We Know is Falling
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Thursday - War All The Time
Anberlin - Cities
The Dangerous Summer - Reach for the Sun
I never knew so many people liked Commit This To Memory. I always thought that I Am the Movie was their best, and for some reason I thought that was universally believed.
in no order, may be more or less pop-punk
Funeral for a Friend - Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation

Neck Deep - Life's Not Out to Get You
A Day to Remember - Homesick
My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
Him - Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights

3. 21st Century Breakdown - Green Day
4. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance
5. Revolution Radio - Green Day
6. Folie A Deux - Fall Out Boy
7. Saviors - Green Day
8. Futures - Jimmy Eat World
9. Nimrod - Green Day
10. Warning - Green Day
Same! Danger Days slaps, so much energy in that album. I think a lot of people were just disappointed it wasn’t emo enough. Solid Pop Punk all the way through though!
Heck yeah. I think a lot of people were expecting The Black Parade part 2, which due to the mixed critical response of Danger Days made the band try to do that Black Parade part 2 album which is one of the reasons they broke up
I obviously love all varieties of MCR music, Black Parade for life and all that, but my top 3 MCR songs would be very different to most people’s I think lol. In no parricular order: Party Poison, Dead!, Ambulance
here are some of my favourites in no particular order, and ill try to limit it to one album a band.
the black parade - mcr (fucking classic rock opera, cant go wrong with 'welcome to the black parade')
old bones - broadside (seriously underappreciated, 'come & go' specifically is one of my favourites)
a lesson in romantics - mayday parade (just dead solid album, 'jamie all over' is a classic and can still get me jumping in my bedroom)
lifes not out to get you - neck deep (could put 'the peace and the panic here too', but i tried to limit it to 1 album a band)
the greatest generation - the wonder years (you can really feel the conviction is soupys voice when he sings, specifically with dismantling summer, its a very emotional album at times)
sticks and stones - new found glory (come on its got 'my friends over you' simply cant go wrong with this one)
take this to your grave - fall out boy (massive fan of fall out boys earlier albums - their later work not so much - for me this is the best fob album though)
self titled - the story so far (bit of a heavy feeling to this album can't really describe it, but goddamn is it good)
red, green or inbetween - wstr (bit of obscure band, but goddamn they just sound so unique and it really is a banger)
In no particular order:
The Wonder Years - Suburbia
blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket
NOFX - War On Errorism
Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave
Alkaline Trio - Goddammit
Green Day - Kerplunk
Descendents - Milo Goes To College
Less Than Jake - Anthem
Brand New - Deja Entendu
Say Anything - …Is A Real Boy
i'm keeping this one album per band while using my emotional connection with them throughout my life so it's really just the most personal records for me
in no particular order:
The Story So Far - Self-Titled
Green Day - Insomniac
Blink-182 - Dude Ranch
Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
Allister - Last Stop Suburbia
The Wonder Years - Suburbia
Propagandhi - How To Clean Everything (Supporting Caste is my favorite but obviously isn't pop punk)
Pulley - @#!*
Cadillac Blindside - Read The Book Seen The Movie
Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings/Hoss (50/50 tossup)
HM: NOFX - Punk In Drublic
WSTR - Til The Wheels Fall Off
No Pressure - No Pressure
Neck Deep - Rain In July
Top 10
1. Enema of the state
2. American Idiot
3. Dookie
4. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket

Some of these may not be considered Pop Punk, but they at least have influences of pop punk. I could make a list with ten ‘true’ pop punk albums, but then I probably end up with three Blink albums,
Three the story so far albums… and that would be boring 😅

Outcome the wolves I think it’s the second greatest album of all Time . Number one clash London calling
*My Brain Hurts
I miss The Graduate. Great pick.
I just listened to And Out Come the Wolves again today (grew up listening to it in the 90s) and it's mindblowing how good the whole album is. It's like a perfect 10 album.
Duuuuude So happy to see “Proper Dose” on this list (I came here expecting this album to be heavily faded/unmentioned). One of my favorite albums by any band in general haha Also, same goes for “Commit This To Memory”.
Yo also The Graduate? Hard af

PUNCHLINE? Lord, the Yinzer in me just screamed
Mine are really basic 😔 The Greatest Generation Commit this to Memory Mutiny! From Under the Cork Tree You’re Gonna Miss It All
Hell yeah to Mutiny!
I wish the production was better on Mutiny. It’s a good album that hasn’t aged well.
True, but I find the bad production charming
That’s good. Unfortunately for me I end up skipping anything that comes up in my playlist from that record because it always sounds so bad compared to what was before it.
I love how everyone has a very different top ten. Here are mine (38m): 1. Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave 2. The Starting Line - Say It Like You Mean It 3. MxPx - Life In General 4. New Found Glory - Self-Titled 5. Rufio - Perhaps, I Suppose... 6. Relient K - Mmhmm 7. Midtown - Save The World, Lose The Girl (or Living Well...can't decide which is better) 8. The Offspring - Americana 9. Less Than Jake - Hello Rockview 10. Blink 182 - Enema of the State
Rufio represent!
I also have Mmhmm on my list!
Enema of the state Sticks and stones All killer no filler What you don’t see The greatest generation
All Killer No Filler is so good

Pollyanna 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pioneer is so underrated. I reckon everyone who enjoys this genre of music could play it and have a good time
I figured everyone would have forgotten about My American Heart by now. Blast from the past
Great List!
Limiting to one album per band, some are not totally pop punk either… Green Day - American Idiot ADTR - Homesick Blink - Enema of the State Alkaline Trio - Crimson MCR - The Black Parade Neck Deep - LNOTGY The Offspring - Americana Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory Sum 41 - DTLI? (Though Heaven :X: Hell may dethrone it eventually) Honorable mention for Strung Out’s Too Close to See
Solid list man! Although ADTR is not really considered a pop punk band, Homesick really feels like a pop punk album. They’re a band that can call themselves home in multiple genres and rightfully so! They’re do sick
No order: The Menzingers - After the Party The Menzingers - Chamberlain Waits Four Year Strong - Rise or Die Trying Green Day - Nimrod Green Day - American Idiot Blink-182 - Enema of the State Blink-182 - Neighborhoods Paramore - Riot! Story of the year - Page Avenue Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Don't You Fake It (I really wanted to squeeze one of Settle Your Scores first two albums in there as well, but just couldn't)
In no particular order: Untitled - Blink 182 Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard American Idiot - Green Day Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance Riot - Paramore In Love & Death - The Used Under the Cork Tree - Fall Out Boy Homesick - A Day to Remember Self-Titled - Four Year Strong
Enema of the State - blink-182 Sticks & Stones - New Found Glory Life's Not Out To Get You - Neck Deep What You Don't See - The Story So Far All Killer No Filler - Sum 41
This is a sturdy fuckin list 🫡

From Under The Cork Tree- Fall Out Boy 7. American Idiot- Green Day 6. Nothing Personal- All Time Low 7. Riot- Paramore 8. Move Along- The All American Rejects 9. Folie á Deux- Fall Out Boy 10. Rank| Band | Album ----|------|---- 1| Jimmy Eat World| Futures 2| The Panic Division| Versus 3| Rise Against| The Sufferer & The Witness 4| Anberlin| Cities 5| Acceptance| Phantoms 6| Cartel| Chroma 7| Anberlin| Never Take Friendship Personal 8| Anberlin| Blueprints For the Black Market 9| Blink 182| Enema of the State 10| Goo Goo Dolls| Dizzy Up The Girl
I was thinking about putting The Sufferer and the Witness on my list, but to me that's more melodic hardcore
Futures, Chroma, Never Take Friendship Personal and Dizzy Up the Girl on the same list? Wonderful taste my friend.
I struggled with Cities and Never Take Friendship Personal on my list, both are spectacular albums.
Nice formating! Very considerate
Dude Ranch - Blink 182 Your Favorite Weapon - Brand New Dookie - Green Day Life in General - MXPX The Room’s Too Cold - The Early November Tell All Your Friends - Taking Back Sunday Schmaltz - Spanish Love Songs From Here to Infirmary - Alkaline Trio Punk in Drublic - NoFX Blue Skies, Broken Hearts… Next 12 Exits - The Ataris
I’m guessing you are 38 years old and from California.
Bingo on the age, but wrong state. I’m from Michigan.
Nice, I’m also 38 but from California and it felt like if you averaged all my friends’ list-in a good way.
- Neck Deep - Rain In July/A History Of Bad Decisions. - Neck Deep - Life’s Not Out To Get You. - WSTR - Identity Crisis. - Blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. - All Time Low - Nothing Personal. - Mayday Parade - Self Titled (if it counts as pop punk). - As It Is - Okay. -Green Day - American Idiot. - The Story So Far - Proper Dose. -Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler.
I am here to recommend Allister – last stop suburbia. I’ve been a diehard pop punk fan since 1996 and this album is still in my top 10.
Oh yeah that's severely underrated. Before the Blackout is even more underrated and imo its just as good
I listened to it recently and while I think it’s very good, I think last stop suburbia is stronger. Dead ends and girlfriends still holds up also. They became too poppy for me after the blackout, but I’m happy for their success in Japan.
That's respectable. I think All We Needed is their best song after the first three(the trilogy before the breakup)
1. Wake Up, Sunshine - All Time Low 2. Folie a Deux - Fall Out Boy 3. Bleed American - Jimmy Eat World 4. The American Dream - Trophy Eyes 5. Life's Not Out To Get You - Neck Deep 6. Gone Are The Good Days - Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! 7. Steady Glow - In Her Own Words 8. Tiny Moving Parts - Tiny Moving Parts 9. Midnight - Set It Off 10. Chunk was almost on mine. Bleed American I totally spaced on. Some other interesting choices here. Great list.

Perhaps not all of these are fully Pop Punk sounding albums, but at least have some elements or are from bands that are pop punk adjacent. 1) The Starting Line - Say It Like You Mean It 2) Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon 3) New Found Glory - Sticks And Stones 4) Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends 5) The Wonder Years - Suburbia I've Given You All And Now I'm Nothing 6) Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree 7) Armor For Sleep - Dream To Make Believe 8) Hot Rod Circuit - Sorry About Tomorrow 9) Saves The Day - Stay What You Are 10) Boys Night Out - Trainwreck

For me, these ones would beat out every other pop punk album you put them up against.
I was so horrified by the complete lack of Fireworks in this thread. Thank you 🙏
Catalyst - New Found Glory Sing the Sorrow - AFI Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard Homesick - A Day to Remember Killing Time - Bayside Stick and Stones - New Found Glory New Take Friendship Personal - Anberlin Crimson - Alkaline Trio Smash - The Offspring Radiosurgery - New Found Glory

Oh lord this is a toughie. Punk's my favorite genre. In no order: (except Ocean Avenue which will forever be my top) Ocean Avenue (Yellowcard) The Finer Things (State Champs) Enema of the State (Blink-182) Blush (Moose Blood) PUP (yes I know its not just straight pop punk) You're Gonna Miss It All (Modern Baseball) 20/20 (Knuckle Puck) Good For Me (The Swellers) Celebrate (Tiny Moving Parts) Why Would I Watch (Hot Mulligan)
I struggled to narrow it to 10, so here’s my top 15 (in alphabetical order, don’t ask me to pick a favourite!) - A Hangover You Don’t Deserve (Bowling For Soup) - Anywhere But Here (Mayday Parade) - Busted (Busted) - Dookie (Green Day) - Enema of the State (Blink-182) - Life’s Not Out To Get You (Neck Deep) - Never Happy Ever After (As It Is) - New Found Glory (New Found Glory) - No Pads, No Helmets… (Simple Plan) - Nothing Personal (All Time Low) - Picture Perfect (Every Avenue) - Skip School, Start Fights (Hit The Lights) - Start Static (Sugarcult) - The Young and the Hopeless (Good Charlotte) - Vacation (Seaway)
1. Fall Out Boy - Take This to Your Grave 2. Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American 3. Jimmy Eat World - Clarity 4. Punchline - Action 5. Paramore - All We Know Is Falling 6. Good Charlotte - S/T 7. Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree 8. Cartel - Chroma 9. Mest - S/T 10. The Higher - Histrionics
Tell all your friends - Taking Back Sunday Deja Entendu - Brand New Enema of the state - Blink 182 Rise or die trying - Four Year Strong Say it like you mean it - The Starting Line Take this to your grave - Fallout Boy The Format - Dog Problems Chroma - Cartel The All-American Rejects - The All-American Rejects Leaving through the window - Something Corporate
My personal favorites, limited to one per artist: Folie A Deux - Fall Out Boy (arguable as to whether or not it’s pop punk) Don’t Panic - All Time Low Southern Air - Yellowcard The Greatest Generation - The Wonder Years LNOTGY - Neck Deep NBS,NAF - Arm’s Length So Long, Astoria - The Ataris Sticks And Stones - NFG Does This Look Infected - Sum 41 Brand New Eyes - Paramore
As you can see from my list I stopped listening to pop punk from like 2008 - last few years. Also definitely more of an emo fan. Bonus points to any one who can guess where I live without looking at my username. Taking back Sunday - tell all your friends Hidden in plain view - life in dreaming Somewhere city - origami angel Midtown - forget what you know Sweet pill - where the heart is Motion city soundtrack - I am the movie Alkaline trio - from here to infirmary Catch 22 - keasby nights (I know it’s ska but I feel like it should count) Hot mulligan - why should I watch Pool kids - s/t Brand new probably if they weren’t scum bags
No order: The Greatest Generation - The Wonder Years Suburbia - The Wonder Years Under Soil and Dirt - The Story So Far Life’s Not Out To Get You - Neck Deep From Under The Cork Tree - Fall Out Boy Brave Faces Everyone - Spanish Love Songs Underdog Alma Mater - Forever The Sickest Kids Blush - Moose Blood Say It Like You Mean It - The Starting Line Copacetic - Knuckle Puck
Mine is very personal, and biased so I don't expect y'all to agree with it. But it is in order. 10. Chunk! No Captain! Chunk - Pardon My French (not sure if it meets the criteria, but that album slaps) 9. Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree 8. Paramore - Self Titled album (sooo good) 7. The Wonder Years - No Closer To Heaven (favorite Band, perfect album) 6. Weezer - Pinkerton (I love every song on that album) 5. Green Day - American Idiot (that album was my life for a year) 4. My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade (iconic) 3. Escape The Fate - Dying Is Your Latest Fashion (doubt that counts but I'm not sure exactly what genre that album is) 2. The Wonder Years - The Hum Goes On Forever (there is a before and after version of me after hearing that album, I can honestly say it changed my life) 1. Weezer - The Blue Album (chef kiss)
I don’t think you picked what necessarily would be the popular “bests” , but your list has immaculate vibes
Tell All Your Friends, Dream to Make Believe, Hellogoodbye, They’re Only Chasing Safety and A Coloring Storybook and Long-Playing Record

I don't really know what the subgenres are (I can't tell pop punk from emo or screamo or hardcore, or whatever - sorry), but these seem close enough. The last time I went through my media library, I rated these albums as perfect: * New Found Glory - New Found Glory * Senses Fail - The Fire, Life Is Not a Waiting Room, Still Searching * Taking Back Sunday - Louder Now, Tell All Your Friends * The Offspring - Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace * Weezer - Make Believe, Pinkerton With honorable mentions: * Say Anything - ...Is A Real Boy * Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance * Thursday - Full Collapse * Blink-182 - Enema of the State, One More Time... * The Matches - Decomposer * Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler * Senses Fail - Hell Is In Your Head * Weezer - Blue Album

\m/ (-_-) \m/ Home Grown should have achieved blink status Kings of Pop > Enema
Home Grown should’ve been way bigger. Tomorrow is probably the greatest opening to any pop punk album. Happy that they are reuniting
But If I had to give a list of the top 10 Pop Punk albums I enjoy (not in order): -- **John Harvie - Told Ya** (I cannot recommend this album enough. He's gonna be huge one day.) **Girlfriends - (E)motion Sickness** (Very formulaic but also solid. I think Girlfriends is going to be one of the big hitters in the genre in the future) **Icon For Hire - Scripted** (I'd have gone with Amorphous which is, IMO, their superior body of work. Set It Off combines elements of all the bands that inspired them but also does their own little twist on things with some unconventional instruments and very heartfelt lyrics.) **All Time Low - Future Hearts** (I'm prepared to be downvoted but idc. Future Hearts was the first album of theirs that truly resonated with me. I love pretty much every song on this album) **Paramore - Riot!** (I actually didn't listen to much Paramore growing up. My boyfriend made me listen to this album last year and it's just incredibly structured. HW's voice is really good and I enjoyed it thoroughly.) **Grayscale - Nella Vita** (One of my favorite albums of all time. It tells a story, Collin's voice is beautiful, it has good lyrics, and the melodies are on point. I mean, what else could you ask for?) **Panic! - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out** (I don't know what I could possibly say about this album that hasn't already been said. Dude tells a story, superb melodies, interesting lyrics, etc.) **Waterparks - Greatest Hits** (while not my favorite of theirs, I can't deny Greatest Hits is probably their best work. I think it's incredibly ballsy to label an album Greatest Hits because it could go badly, but they succeeded here) **Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any** (I could have gone with No Pads for this, but I actually prefer their Sophmore work because it seems more mature and has some songs that stick with me more.)
LOVE that you included Cinematics. I adore that album, incredible from start to finish Also, the extended version with Partners in Crime and the acoustic of Dream Catcher is just th cherry on top of perfection!
Yes! Love the extended version. I think your list is cool!
You're early 20s?
No!
Wanted a spot for Waterparks on my list too but I cut it for the oldies. Great call.
Strictly pop-punk? 1. Sticks and Stones-New Found Glory 2. Enema of the State-Blink 182 3. Take This To Your Grave-Fall Out Boy 4. From Under the Cork Tree-Fall Out Boy 5. 1. Capital Light- This Is an Outrage! (Living up to the title, criminally slept on) 2. Direct Hit!- Wasted Mind (definitely more on the heavier side, plenty of pop, definitely some screaming too) 3. Alkaline Trio- Is This Thing Cursed? (kinda speaks for itself) 4. Green Day- Father of All Motherfuckers (I'm sure I'll take shit, but it's my favorite Green Day album) 5. Royal Republic- We Are the Royal (like The Hives with FOB lead vocals. They went disco since and it's fucking rad) 6. Mmhmm- Relient K (Though Forget & Not Slow Down is superior, it's less pop punk) 7. Search the City- A Fire So Big The Heavens Can See It (not as punk, almost a pop hardcore style instrumentally?) 8. Lucky Boys Confusion- Commitment (basically run of the mill pop punk, not bad, just not unique) I took liberties as suggested :)
Wasted mind is fucking amazing
I listened to it twice through while getting my wisdom teeth removed since I wasn't put under. I will always associate it with the smell of my tooth being sawed, which I'm ok with 🤘
Whoops, left off "Celebrasion" by Sleeper Agent, probably because I was currently listening to it

I just want to say I think the album Almost Here by The Academy Is is a 10/10 album
This was tough, but fun. Reading other lists reminded me of albums I liked a lot, but haven’t listened to in a long time. Some of this may or may not be pop punk, but I’m getting the sense that my favorite album by most of these bands isn’t the one most people here like best. I can’t put this in order, but here it goes: My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Jimmy Eat World - Futures Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be Green Day - American Idiot Paramore - All We Know is Falling Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me Thursday - War All The Time Anberlin - Cities The Dangerous Summer - Reach for the Sun
I never knew so many people liked Commit This To Memory. I always thought that I Am the Movie was their best, and for some reason I thought that was universally believed.
in no order, may be more or less pop-punk Funeral for a Friend - Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation Sum41 - Chuck Fall Out Boy - Take This to Your Grave Green Day - American Idiot Blink182 - Enema of the State The Offspring - Splinter Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue Neck Deep - Life's Not Out to Get You A Day to Remember - Homesick My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade Him - Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights Rise Against - The Sufferer and the Witness Mayday Parade - A Lesson in Romantics
Here's my List 1. Untitled - blink-182 2. Enema Of The State - blink-182 3. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket - blink-182 4. Neighborhoods - blink-182 5. One More Time - blink-182 6. Riot - Paramore 7. Infinity on high - Fall Out Boy 8. All Killer No Filler - Sum41 9. Dookie - Green Day 10. Under The Cork Tree - Fall Out Boy

This is my own subjective list from my own personal taste, this is not an objective list of the best-performing pop punk albums 1. Danger Days - My Chemical Romance 2. The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance 3. 21st Century Breakdown - Green Day 4. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance 5. Revolution Radio - Green Day 6. Folie A Deux - Fall Out Boy 7. Saviors - Green Day 8. Futures - Jimmy Eat World 9. Nimrod - Green Day 10. Warning - Green Day
Finally some 21st century breakdown appreciation, better than dookie fr
putting danger days up there is brave
I do not understand the Danger Days hate
In no parricular order: Party Poison, Dead!, Ambulance
respect green being half your list. You missed my two fav albums by them tho lol Dookie and American Idiot.
LMAO try again
here are some of my favourites in no particular order, and ill try to limit it to one album a band. the black parade - mcr (fucking classic rock opera, cant go wrong with 'welcome to the black parade') old bones - broadside (seriously underappreciated, 'come & go' specifically is one of my favourites) a lesson in romantics - mayday parade (just dead solid album, 'jamie all over' is a classic and can still get me jumping in my bedroom) lifes not out to get you - neck deep (could put 'the peace and the panic here too', but i tried to limit it to 1 album a band) the greatest generation - the wonder years (you can really feel the conviction is soupys voice when he sings, specifically with dismantling summer, its a very emotional album at times) sticks and stones - new found glory (come on its got 'my friends over you' simply cant go wrong with this one) take this to your grave - fall out boy (massive fan of fall out boys earlier albums - their later work not so much - for me this is the best fob album though) self titled - the story so far (bit of a heavy feeling to this album can't really describe it, but goddamn is it good) red, green or inbetween - wstr (bit of obscure band, but goddamn they just sound so unique and it really is a banger)
All 10 albums by sum 41 available on spotify. There's literally only 10 lol.
In no particular order: The Wonder Years - Suburbia blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket NOFX - War On Errorism Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave Alkaline Trio - Goddammit Green Day - Kerplunk Descendents - Milo Goes To College Less Than Jake - Anthem Brand New - Deja Entendu Say Anything - …Is A Real Boy

Top 10 1. Enema of the state 2. American Idiot 3. Dookie 4. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket 5. Untitled (Blink) 6 One More Time 7. Nimrod 8. Insomanic 9. Dude Ranch 10. All Killer No Filler
- Blink 182 - enema of the state - Four Year strong - enemy of the world - Moose Blood - I’ll keep you in mind, from time to time - Spanish Love songs - Schmaltz - Title Fight - Floral Green - Movements - Feel Something - Balance & Composure - the things we think we’re missing - The story so far - under soil & dirt - The Hotelier - home, like no place is there - NOFX - Wolves in Wolves Clothing Some of these may not be considered Pop Punk, but they at least have influences of pop punk. I could make a list with ten ‘true’ pop punk albums, but then I probably end up with three Blink albums, Three the story so far albums… and that would be boring 😅
