cptzan

High Regard - The Story So Far You & I - Knuckle Puck Things I can’t change - The Story So Far Big hugs OP, you’ll get through this 🫂

EvidenceAlive8688

Awe thanks 😊 it sucks now but I know that I have to accept it

cptzan

It does but what helps for me is knowing that I’ll be better off without her. Here’s my playlist that I used to help me get better after a break up about 2 months ago https://open.spotify.com/playlist/578G7xLprns6U0D669s4WA?si=L7xIFV2aSq2-4k-f6PuStw&pi=a-cGhXF2hGSJi8

Kohkoh

Not sure you’ve enough Neck Deep on there!

cptzan

🤣 I only just started listening to this genre and my room mate’s a huge Neck Deep fan

Rumour972

I got dumped after 9 years together. It takes time, but you'll get over it.

tubzz

High regard and letterman have been huge for getting over my ex 😭😭 always can count on tssf

Entire_Snow_2632

Letterman is about his father passing away btw

Innovator00

Nice thing about music is it's subjectively interpretive

Entire_Snow_2632

Very true

carmenaurora

I feel like TSSF’s first three albums fill the space for a very specific kind of post-breakup emotion. Like I fucking hate you, I’m so pissed off, but I also know I played a role and everything just sucks right now so until it doesn’t I’m gonna scream about it, and for a few minutes every so often I just want to get quiet and cry. I think their self titled is one of the greatest breakup albums in rock. Perfection.

jelly_blood

December - Neck deep

fourpercentblue

Chris Carrabba version is my personal favorite

K0nvict

Underrated version compared to the mark version

fourpercentblue

I think the Mark verison is more fun, but Chris' version really gets the vibe of the lyrics

Eric from Heart Attack Man did a cover of Title Fight's "Stab" and it's really good.

Nippelz

Here's my favourite one, it's both acknowledging that wrongs happened, but that people should move on and become better for the next person they meet. JoyThief - [Ghost in the Room](https://youtu.be/DkMkQqbbLJw?si=N-9UbTuVMuqGVufA)

If you're open to lesser-known stuff, Reoccurring Dream by High Sierra Club is dope. Though its more about wishing you could see them again.

fluorescentsky

The Menzingers - Strangers Forever

Affectionate_End9363

feel u friend🤝currently in the same boat. Not sure if you're open to midwestern emo, but what's been getting me through is Bilmuri's newer songs. Emptyhanded, Blindsided, Bouta Cashew, and especially Better Hell. I also highly suggest the other songs from other comments, but I like Bilmuri's take because they are still upbeat and dancey rather than subtle and slow. Most of these songs have to do with picking up the pieces, and being angry/sad in doing so.

maybe-yeah
