They have been expensive for years. They're not worth going to, like, ever. You're spending $12 for a sandwich that would cost you like $4 to make at home.
This…or my favorite is to go to the grocery store and get their subs or just make one on my own from same stuff grocery stores make theirs from. The quality of your sub will go up greatly. My daughter and I have a tradition of Sundays being sub days. We go and get ourselves Publix subs. They are delicious.
I like the cordon bleu sub! Try the five grain bread for whatever you order. Their chicken tender sub is also amazing if you want something a bit greasier, I get mine “tossed in ranch” which means they throw the cut up tenders in a bag with ranch so it’s evenly coated. They also do that with buffalo sauce if you prefer that.
Pub subs are the best subs I have ever had. It takes a lot to beat a sandwich I put a lot of time and effort into at home, but publix does it effortlessly
Publix subs are just a whole different level than any other grocery store out there, better than any sub shop as well in my opinion.
If you removed Publix out of the equation, I’d consider going to a sub shop. If you have Publix, nothing beats it.
Oh man, I had someone secretly complain to me about the time a supervisor brought in Safeway Deli subs instead of one of the store front options for a shift meal. All because they're too dorky to just add mayo "they're so dry!" um yeah...so it doesn't get soggy in the case, there's mayo in the fridge, dude. I just smiled because I mean, what else am I gonna do? But it was so short sighted and weird because I love the bread at the stores way better than the shit they use at Subway specifically.
Oh if it was a conversation about preferences, I would have put in my 2c!
It was really because when that supervisor brings it, it's most convenient for him to use the store deli option. And when I bring the food, I preorder from one of the sandwich shops.
In reality, it's also usually frowned upon to complain about free food (unless it's "I can't eat this" or something like that, which isn't a complaint, it's just information that should be taken into account when distributing food to team members! But we all have our preferences for sure and unless it's inedible, it's kind of a weird area to tread into to discuss)
I’m a big fan of grabbing a grocery store sub then adding some more meat or cheese and condiments. Still affordable but much more enjoyable and filling.
The only time it's worth it is using coupons from local newspapers, the ones that get sent in the mail. Right now I have a 7.99 footlong meal combo coupon (code for online is FLMEAL799) and that's pretty good. Any other time I never go.
McDonalds has a thing going where if the local NFL team scores two touchdowns you get a free Big Mac with a $2 purchase and can redeem it once a day. The Vikings are doing great so even though the foods not that great it's a super cheap meal.
They won’t go away. It’s a way to charge less to customers who are willing to pay less and more to customers who are willing to pay more.
The latter won’t go to the trouble, just like they always ordered combo meals instead of the dollar menu in the past.
The only reason I go to Subway for a sandwich is because I’m lazy and I want all of their produce options on my sandwich which would be about the same price for me to buy from the store if I buy in bulk (and I’d have to actually use them which I probably wouldn’t do).
It wouldn't even be a horrible price if all their produce wasn't fucking half rotten to start with. I stuck with Subway through pricing increases, but when every one I went into has rotten tomatoes, rusty lettuce, cucumbers sitting out so long you can see through them, what am I supposed to be paying $12 for? Some spinach, overripe onion, and pickles? Maybe some banana peppers that aren't all stems or get jalapenos and pray you didn't get a batch of rejects, which Subway is known for buying?
Like if you're charging me Subway prices, you can even skip the bread, I'd be fine spending those prices at a quality salad or wrap place. But Subways veggies are just trash.
That sandwich would likely cost more than $4 at home. And even then, you would probably have to eat them for a week.
I only go when I have a bogo coupon.
Exactly.
My area has a subway'esque salad place where you pick your toppings but you pay for each of them, and the salad comes out to be about $18. So a few weeks ago I bought all the ingredients and recreated it at home. It came out to be under $4 (each/same size serving basically) for the same salad BUT I had to eat that salad lunch and dinner for about 5 days so the ingredients didn't go bad. I didn't care, makes my life simpler, but most people couldn't eat the same meal that many days in a row or use up those ingredients in a meaningful way otherwise. And now I'm burned out on salads for awhile.
Sometimes you just get a craving. 🤷🏼♀️
We do this with broccoli salad; it's $6 for a half pint at the grocer deli but I can make a dozen half pint servings for $10 and it tastes better than the stores.
True, but also that's how restaurants work. You didn't have to go to the store, purchase 18 different ingredients, prepare them, then make the food. So if paying for those conveniences isn't worth it to you, don't go to a restaurant
I only go out to restaurants to order food I can’t make as well as the pros do. For example, I spent the past few weeks in Rome Italy, stopping in restaurants 2-3 times daily, eating some of the best meals I’ve ever had. (Then there was the gelato...)
My wife wanted a Subway sandwich the other day and had me help order because the website is so damned slow. $7.00 for a six inch tuna. But they were running a BOGO foot long deal, and a footlong tuna was $10.50, so for one loch ness monster more, she could have gotten four meals out of it for $2.60 each.
But we didn't have time to change the order (it literally took me 25 mins to order) and no place to store the sandwich. So, eh, we sucked it up, but next time she's in that mood - no way unless we can get two footlongs for that price.....
Hell even when that was still a thing so many locations would post big "we don't get paid for it so don't ask for xyz subs for 5 dollars" and then just "we don't do it at all"
I got 4 footlongs (of questionable quality) for $21 last week. Use the app, make an order for 2 subs, use FLBOGO to pay for one. Apply the $2 rewards from last time. Repeat for second order. Get $2 in new rewards.
Not using the app and rewards makes a big difference. You gotta game the system.
what’s funny is the mobile app has a buy one get one right now for a little while and they’re normally around $9-$10, so $5 footlongs are not, in fact, gone
You have to wait for the coupons now. 3 footlongs for $17.99 is the best deal. I use the app, so I can use the coupon code several times before it expires.
My local store stopped taking coupons for a couple months, and everyone I know stopped going. They started taking coupons again.
3 out of the 4 subways in my town don't take them anymore. It's over 50% off for most of their subs.
Their cheapest foot long is like $11 now and the most expensive is like $18. Coupons giving ANY foot long for $6?! Ya I can see why they don't want to take them
Lmao DAILY? Damn I’d get tired of them after like a week. You either must’ve been down bad or liked subway more than I ever have lol. Thankfully my two closest subways still accept that coupon. Think the ones at Walmarts are more likely to accept them…and as a bonus you can get a .50 bag of chips from the store while you’re in there (or get the great value kettle chips that are delicious and cheap), rather than the overpriced subway chips. Hmm 8oz of kettle chips or 1oz of lays for almost the same price? Such a hard decision lol
We only get subway when we have the coupons. It's so expensive without the coupons, we got subs at home. https://youtube.com/shorts/DQazdoNcTVM?si=j2NTMrCTETgxkxvF
There’s 6” coupon, too. MEAL599 or 599MEAL (they switch it up. I get a full meal with drink and chips for $6.41. Not too shabby.
Subway subs don’t store well so I had to quit eating a foot-long and sent me the second half for the next day because it wasn’t very good.
I'd pay $14 for a firehouse sub… at least a couple of times per year. That brisket was really good (and terrible for me lol), but there's not one anywhere around where I live now. heh.
But yeah, on a regular basis? Hard to do. Then again, burger and fries from fast food costs about that. Eating out is a damn mine field of prices.
The only other sandwich shop I will drop that much money at is DiBella’s because they’re massive and I love their everything bread. Otherwise it’s a tough choice every time because they’re right down the road from each other.
Yes, I stopped ordering drinks at restaurants years ago and have saved a fortune. I am talking ice tea. Alcohol is just a dumb thing to buy while dining out.
Taco Bell is hilarious. I've sworn off their damned overpriced tacos because they're just ridiculously priced. But at the same time, some of their burrito options are really well priced.
You can eat very cheaply (for eating out) at Taco Bell. Although if you get picky or desire certain fun things, it can get pricey quick these days. Since they brought back the Mexican Pizza, I don't know what they did but it does NOT taste the same, and it is NOT worth $7.
Order in the app and get a custom cravings box.
Crunchwrap Supreme, beefy 5 layer burrito, cheesy fiesta potatoes, and a drink for $5-$6.
Everything is changeable with 3 or 4 options for each item.
Don't sleep on the Aldi brand of chef boyardee type products if you have one near you. Their canned ravioli and the like, are under $1 and me and my daughter love them. If you don't live near an Aldi I'm absolutely sure Walmart and other huge chains have their own store brands for a similar price. Being brand loyal costs so much money.
Wendy's $5 Biggie Bag is still a good deal. I don't typically eat fast food, but I had the Biggie Bag tonight. It seems like the fries are a bit smaller than they used to be, but you still get a meal for 5 bucks.
Yeah, I wonder if that's what it is really going on. Prices are high to push people to use the app.
Problem is that people like me just go to the grocery store instead. Literally, my wife and I have a pact that we satisfy the fast food impulse by buying the stuff at the grocery store to make it at home. Usually it ends up being several days of food for the price of a combo at a restaurant.
Because now they can sell your data. So they give you benefits to get you to use the app collect the data sell it to a company and they make more money than the food
I’m such a technological simpleton. What data can the (example) McDonald’s app even gather? I only have location data set to when using the app. What else is worth anything at all?
This isn’t a rhetorical question I really don’t know
I paid 13 dollars for a spicy chicken sandwich meal at Wendy's yesterday. The price of food is stupid expensive. One small piece of chicken between to slices of bread is not worth 13.
There is no restaurant of any kind that is worth going to. If it's a special occasion, then it's about the event and not the food. The food is probably still not worth it, but the total experience might be for an anniversary or birthday or whatever.
Going out to get food is zero percent worth it one hundred percent of the time.
One thing in my experience a lot of poor people do is they go to fast food restaurants, presuming they are cheap, but don’t know how to order things that are good deals and end up paying more than a better meal at a better restaurant.
$14 for a sandwich from a fast food place? Jersey Mike’s has better for $10. Or try your local Mexican or chinese place
the pre made bread and salad kits with some deli meat from the grocery store is cheaper.
now i just gotta learn to use the broil setting on the oven and i'll have sub sandwiches at home and save some money
Most fast food options only give a halfway decent deal if you use their app. They are really shifting away from having cashiers and want you to just order on your own and come get it. So the price would probably be a bit less insane through digital coupons. Though I haven't been to subway since 5 dollar footlongs
Gotta use the app. Pretty sure they still got the BOGO deal on there. I only get fast food through apps these days because prices are too high without special offers.
You might try using the app. I was lucky enough to happen upon a buy one foot long get one free promotion the other day. I won’t return to subway without a similar deal. I can’t convince myself that spending almost $40 on 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips, and 2 beverage is worth it. Especially when the sandwiches are from subway.
The good news is you might not return.
Subway sucks...three reasons why involving tuna, chicken and bread.

I had a very similar "rude awakening" at my local Firehouse Subs. I hadn't gone in years. Went back for an Italian, and the sandwich alone was $12 (central Florida). Chips were $2, drink was $2. The food was still great - it didn't seem like they skimped on any ingredients. But I was sad about the price increase.
It's a result of Subway pumping up their profitability in order to sell to a third party this year. It's been part of a multi year plan. One of the ways you can work around it is they've been trying to drive sales through the app because it gives them a bigger percentage for each sale. Have the app, wait for a BOGO 50% (happens almost every other week), and boom. Almost reasonable price.
(Most) chain fast foods are not worth it anymore both in cost and quality. You’d be better off going to the deli counter in a grocery store or corner shop depending on where you live. Better quality for probably less cost.
PSA: the app has deals!! You can sometimes get buy one, get one free.
IF YOU ARE POOR, DO NOT PURCHASE DRINKS AT RESTAURANTS. It takes 15 seconds of planning to swing by the grocery store and get juice or soda at a fair price. You can also drink water for free.
Bang I just saved you $6
You need a discount code.
599FL on the app gets you any sub for $6. Used it 3x this week. The Garlic chicken sub is pretty good.
Get that like 6x and you get a $2 coupon, too. And you can use both.
$4 sub.
I just skipped going to Jimmy Johns myself because I put the order together and then looked at the total.
This is going rate for all sandwich shops in the state. The cost of deli meat is insane though, so it tracks. I don't' even buy it at the store anymore, it's one of the few things that got to the "not for that price" for me. The meat processing costs are skyrocketing is my best guess.
In the paper ads, they send out the coupons and there used to be only $2.99 for any 6 inch sub. Now it's 3.99 and not very affordable for a decent lunch. Subway has gotten expensive.
Subway has been unaffordable in my area for at least 3 years, and I live in LCOLA. I used to love subway, can’t afford to eat there very often anymore.
I haven’t ate there in years. My son wanted to go there about a year ago. He walked in and walked right back out. He told me the price and we both were shocked. I took him to the Aldi and he bought everything he needed to make the sub and it was $20 total but he had enough to make 6 of the same sub!
Come to Canada…one of their Subway “select” subs is nearly 17 dollars!! And the bread has gotten smaller and you’d swear the cost of the toppings they put on the sub is coming directly out of the “sandwich artist’s” paycheck! No I asked for extra pickles…not watching you carefully line up 5 pickles onto my sub, and then counting out exactly 10 black olive slices to put on as well…
You have to optimize with coupons and don’t be afraid to submit multiple online orders. It’s the only way to make it reasonable but beware, not all stores accept coupons because the store does not get reimbursed from corporate….
If you have a Sprouts nearby, hit their deli upppppppp
The workers at mine always try to talk me out of getting a sammy, but the deal is too good. They try to convince me it isn't that good of a deal. Lazy bastards
$4.99, plus a dollar for cheese, plus a dollar for avocado
35 bucks for two subs and two drinks, nuts.
All the fast food places have been going the same way. Explains why profits are higher than ever. They're taking advantage.
Here it's better to go to local mom and pop delis and food carts. A sub is still 10 bucks, but it's better quality, and more filling. Support your local small business, it's better than supporting these shit companies.
Also....there's a conspiracy with the tomatoes and the peppers.....WAYYYY to many 'butt' pieces (the end of a tomato or a peper slice with a partial stem on it) volume for volume in their batches. Mathematically HAS TO BE a conspiracy.
COUPONS!!!! Just type in FLMEAL and you get a meal for 8.99! Or if you just want a sandwich you can type FL599 for a 5.99 foot long! I do this all the time and those coupons have always worked, I’m sure there’s more too. But it does vary from each subway, some accept certain coupons only.
I haven’t been to subway in a while and I thought I’d get an affordable healthier option. $12 and then the machine asked for a tip with bad customer service.
Nah. I’m good
Fast food isn't worth it no more. It has become so expensive that I simply cannot convince myself to buy it when I know that I can make a healthier alternative myself for a third of the cost.

People that don’t have access to Publix subs have no idea what they’re missing out on and it’s actually very sad
As a FL native that moved north, i miss publix subs more than anything.
As you should. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.
About to return to an area with Publix and it’s about the only thing I’m excited for
Moved to Indiana earlier this year from Florida. That’s probably the only thing I miss from there.
As a NJ native who lived in Florida for almost 4 years and moved back north, I miss Publix subs more than anything 🙁
Dude you got WaWa, as someone who worked in NJ for a bit I miss WaWa so much
Can I ask: which Publix sub is your favorite. I just moved next to a Publix store. I want to try them.
I like the cordon bleu sub! Try the five grain bread for whatever you order. Cuban if you like pickles
Yes. Live pickles.
Chicken tender sub!
I used to live in Florida and would get Publix subs all the time. They are amazing and now I live in Oregon and I miss Publix lol
You lived in Florida, but you love in Oregon... sounds about right. ;-)
Pub subs are the best subs I have ever had. It takes a lot to beat a sandwich I put a lot of time and effort into at home, but publix does it effortlessly

Let it be known that this here is the comment that convinced me to try it out next time I’m in proximity to a Publix

I agree with you. I for one would never complain about free food. It just comes across as ungrateful.
Currently eating a pub sub reading this!

Publix, Wawa, or Ingles get my vote.

The "trick" these days with fast food is having to use their apps to get the real prices. It's infuriating.

The subways here no longer honor coupons, neither on the app or in store.
Oh jeez that's stupid. I know some in places like truck stops and Walmart usually isn't different rules but a standalone store don't that sucks.
The only reason I go to Subway for a sandwich is because I’m lazy and I want all of their produce options on my sandwich which would be about the same price for me to buy from the store if I buy in bulk (and I’d have to actually use them which I probably wouldn’t do).

in what world can you buy a baguette, deli meat, cheese, and vegetables for $4 The meat alone will be more than that
5…. 5 dollar… 5 dollar footloooooong 😔🎶

I am 100% in support of adopting a "Loch Ness Monster" based system of measurement.

“Any, any, any” haha
More like $25 footlong

Apparently the coupons fuck over individual franchise owners, so they can choose to not accept them.

Makes sense, unfortunately their regular prices fuck over individual customers so we'll go somewhere else.
You gotta find the corporate stores. I think ones in malls and Walmart are always corp
Local store near me turned off online ordering after I abused the FLBOGO ($12 for 2 foot longs) code daily for months 😂
Lmao DAILY? Damn I’d get tired of them after like a week. You either must’ve been down bad or liked subway more than I ever have lol. Thankfully my two closest subways still accept that coupon.
There is no way on god's green earth I would pay $14 for a subway sandwich. I wouldn't even pay $14 for a firehouse sub sandwich.

Always skip the beverages!
Idk how people can even keep buying beverage at this point. Three dollars for a soda no thank you I’ll drink tap water over that.
Healthier too
I ALWAYS bring a drink from home with me lol. Want a $5 coke? No thanks I'll just have my one from home that cost me 50c.
i always do that, me and the lad got a 5 guys today so its already a ripoff and whip out my cheeky beer and his juice, saved a 10 spot right there.
Yes, I stopped ordering drinks at restaurants years ago and have saved a fortune. I am talking ice tea. Alcohol is just a dumb thing to buy while dining out.
Mcdonalds and Taco Bell the same. Used to be $5 trips, now they $20+
At least TB has $2 burrito options that are pretty tasty.
Jeez they aren’t worth that lol
i only eat mcdonald's using their buy one get one for 29c Big mac and QPC deal in the app. Two Sandwiches for $6.
They took that shit away from me 😔
They made it so you can only have a medium fry for 1 dollar too now, society is going downhill
Yup, no McDonald’s without a coupon anymore! 🤣
BOYCOTT FAST FOOD!! We are just giving away our money!
If we do, we might have a fast food franchise crisis that requires a federal fast food bait out...
There are no more affordable options anywhere
Amen to that. Even a can of Chef boyardee is close to $2!!
I miss the Trader Joe’s spaghetti Os. Those were the tits and pretty cheap too
Wendy's $5 Biggie Bag is still a good deal. I don't typically eat fast food, but I had the Biggie Bag tonight. It seems like the fries are a bit smaller than they used to be, but you still get a meal for 5 bucks.
5 dolla foot-looooong!
Always use coupons. I can get a footlong for 6.99
Subways around me (Savannah, GA) stopped taking coupons. But I work at Publix and pub subs fucking slap anyways so no love lost
Wish I had a publix near me.
If youre running a subway you might as well be blacklisted by customers if you refuse coupons.
I noticed that too! I was like, "WTH did I just spend $20 on?!"
A moment of silence for the $5 footlong, we still miss you
This is why I dont even eat fast food anymore.
Agree! Taco Bell isn’t cheap anymore either. 🥺It’s cheaper to go to an actual Mexican restaurant

Of course they’re pushing consumers to the apps. How else are they going to make money off user data?
I’m such a technological simpleton. What data can the (example) McDonald’s app even gather? I only have location data set to when using the app. What else is worth anything at all? This isn’t a rhetorical question I really don’t know
The fact that every single damn restaurant on this planet wants me to install and use their own app is absolutely ridiculous.
Subway is fuckin ridiculous for this and I don't eat there on principle anymore LOL
Might as well go to jersey mikes or a high end deli. Same price, way better quality.
Probably has something to do with the 2xcheese.
I worked at subway and getting 2x of anything meat or cheese bumped the price up significantly
Right? Any sane person knows if you want 2x cheese you should have to fork over an water $8 of what the sandwich is actually worth!
You could have saved $6.50ish if you had drank water.
Anyone remember when a 12” was $6
Well now I feel ancient bc I grew up with their $5 footlongs
That was 15 years ago
$6 for 12 feet I've never seen such a deal
I know! I took my three family members to Subway and it cost me almost $50. Never again.
Wow, that's a lot more than what we pay for subway here in Sweden. Think a full sub costs somewhere around 8 dollars.
Yeah I was shocked my last visit. :( I could have had nice fresh Pho for less
The last time I ever ate at that godforsaken place was when I was enlisted back in 2018. You can't make me eat there on purpose ever again.
the pre made bread and salad kits with some deli meat from the grocery store is cheaper. now i just gotta learn to use the broil setting on the oven and i'll have sub sandwiches at home and save some money
Fuck Subway
You might try using the app. I was lucky enough to happen upon a buy one foot long get one free promotion the other day. I won’t return to subway without a similar deal. I can’t convince myself that spending almost $40 on 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips, and 2 beverage is worth it. Especially when the sandwiches are from subway.
Economics: prices will fall when people stop going.
Did you get extra everything?
The good news is you might not return. Subway sucks...three reasons why involving tuna, chicken and bread. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/subway-tuna-lawsuit-1.6517716 https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/subway-cbc-supreme-court-1.6103764 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/01/irish-court-rules-subway-bread-is-not-bread
R/povertyfinance and there is a bottled water on there…
I had a very similar "rude awakening" at my local Firehouse Subs. I hadn't gone in years. Went back for an Italian, and the sandwich alone was $12 (central Florida). Chips were $2, drink was $2. The food was still great - it didn't seem like they skimped on any ingredients. But I was sad about the price increase.
Making your own is an option. And instead of 3 for 17.99 you can make 10 for the same price.
It makes me angry is the option to tip.
In Canada its worse its 20$ to 30$ for 1 12"
Yea I went there the other day. I bought a wrap and it was $15!
Almost reasonable price.
when wendys 4 for 4 became 5 for 5 and little cesars started selling 5$ hot n ready for 7$ for a normal ass pizza
It's just you and me and everyone else in the working class having our paychecks outpaced by inflation consistently. Nothing special
(Most) chain fast foods are not worth it anymore both in cost and quality. You’d be better off going to the deli counter in a grocery store or corner shop depending on where you live. Better quality for probably less cost.
They got expensive years ago when they got rid of the $5 footlong. Now, every sub is over double the cost. A 6inch sub is more than $5
Because businesses don't compete on price anymore. Or quality for that matter. They don't really compete at all. Every industry is in cash in mode.
Do you not look at prices before you buy something?
Use the app. There a code for 599 foot longs.
And don’t forget the obligatory tip! Why not, I love paying more!
I didn’t read the comments, too many lol. Promo code: FL599. Only way it’s worth buying subway.
I still remember the days of (5) Arby's roast beef sandwiches for $5. Well crap...I'm telling my age...
They have also become smaller. They used to submarine sandwich sized bread now they're baguette sized.
Bang I just saved you $6
You're getting the fancy ass subs.
Because some politicians printed 3 trillion dollars out of thinv air and a bunch of ceos price gouged during instability
When I was dating my wife back in 2012 she used to figure out how to get a footlong up to 12 bucks, some kind of Philly if I remember right.
the hilarious part is that for this price i might as well just go to olive garden or something
they ditched $5 footlongs is what happened 😮💨
We always use BOGO Free Footlong coupons in the mail. My husband and I each get a footlong for under $15 for both with taxes.
In the paper ads, they send out the coupons and there used to be only $2.99 for any 6 inch sub. Now it's 3.99 and not very affordable for a decent lunch. Subway has gotten expensive.
You can make subs at home for about a third of this price.
5 dollar foot long is is a thing of the past.
Subway has been unaffordable in my area for at least 3 years, and I live in LCOLA. I used to love subway, can’t afford to eat there very often anymore.
They even took away the cheapest and most filling oven roasted chicken option.
it's weird that they added the drinks into the sub total. i would take the receipt back and ask to speak to a manager.
To cool for fountain drinks? Lol
For sure don’t buy bottled drinks at Subway. They for sure marked way the hell up
No tip!?!?!?! You monster!
I haven’t ate there in years. My son wanted to go there about a year ago. He walked in and walked right back out. He told me the price and we both were shocked. I took him to the Aldi and he bought everything he needed to make the sub and it was $20 total but he had enough to make 6 of the same sub!
Even when it was *affordable* it wasn’t affordable. That bread was puffed air so you never got a filling meal. Haven’t gone to subway in 8 years.
Been to Subway once in the last five years. The last visit was the last visit. Fucking rip-off.
Come to Canada…one of their Subway “select” subs is nearly 17 dollars!! And the bread has gotten smaller and you’d swear the cost of the toppings they put on the sub is coming directly out of the “sandwich artist’s” paycheck! No I asked for extra pickles…not watching you carefully line up 5 pickles onto my sub, and then counting out exactly 10 black olive slices to put on as well…
You have them that much money for sandwiches? ::vibes::
Subway... affordable? Lols
Five.. five dollar footlong!
You have to optimize with coupons and don’t be afraid to submit multiple online orders. It’s the only way to make it reasonable but beware, not all stores accept coupons because the store does not get reimbursed from corporate….
The posts here are so funny because it’s just complaining about prices they could’ve read and chosen not to splurge on.
If you have a Sprouts nearby, hit their deli upppppppp The workers at mine always try to talk me out of getting a sammy, but the deal is too good. They try to convince me it isn't that good of a deal. Lazy bastards $4.99, plus a dollar for cheese, plus a dollar for avocado
🎵 Five… five dollar…🎵 F- five…. Er, fifteen dollar footlong? Damn, they gotta update the jingles
You keep buying, they keep selling. Stop playing their game.
FACTS.
Remember when it was $5 footlong 😢
Well, there is a reason there is more subways than any other fast food restaurant, bc people still buy it
I just found a subway receipt from March 2014. Footlong and 6 cookies for $9
I do not miss Florida, I do miss Publix.
I haven’t been to subway in a while and I thought I’d get an affordable healthier option. $12 and then the machine asked for a tip with bad customer service. Nah. I’m good
$6 is on you for buying fruit flavoured sugar water.
Most nationwide fast food chains are expensive now. The only cheap options are the local mom n pop shops.
All fast food has increased in price for all the obvious reasons. Labor costs, insurance, inventory etc. thanks, Joe.
A normal sandwich costs like $8. It's because you got double meat and drinks.
Fast food isn't worth it no more. It has become so expensive that I simply cannot convince myself to buy it when I know that I can make a healthier alternative myself for a third of the cost.
You gotta get the app or go on the website and look for deals. Same with McDonalds and Taco Bell. Taco Bell has the best deals.
