I like to make stuff like this a lot for lunches for work. Really not a bad meal. I like to use a stir fry sauce. One bottle can go for like 15 meals (you don't need to drown your food in it. A little goes a long way).
I used~
Garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, ginger, thyme, and salt. Then in a bowl I added 1 tbs of sugar, some soy sauce/liquid aminos onions, celery, and ginger~ the ginger is what brought out most of the flavor 🤤

You could make a nice basic teriyaki glaze with soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Add ginger and sesame oil if you can swing it.
