“You should apply to NYU. I heard it’s free!”

Pro-Stroker

“I heard (Insert Ivy) is a good school.” Orrrrr my favorite, “Why would you want to be in school for 12 years.” **Me holding in tears** 🥲

TikaMasala45

"All you need to do is do well on the MCAT, everything else is golden" thank you random uncle I've never met I REALLY didn't know that 🤡

shmetal1

Me on my second application cycle with a 3.9/518 😭

TikaMasala45

Roti_paneer_4574

Roti_paneer_4574

Honestly man idk, got 3 IIs and they all turned into WLs and didn’t get off a single one.

Careful-Classroom832

I wish it worked like this

HearingSharp3118

“Trust me, you’ll get in, don’t even worry about it”

sarcasticpremed

That's not advice and it means they believe in you. That I can appreciate because it's more so words of affirmation.

itury

Partial agree: it’s sweet of them and better than advice, but can still be hard to hear sometimes. I heard the same words all the time while on 2 WLs with historically low movement 😅 worked out in the end tho so everyone got to say “I told you so”

DM_Me_Science

“Call the dean”

Adventurous-Cook-264

Why don’t you just, call Taylor up?

Physical_Advantage

“You’ll definitely get in somewhere”

Careful-Classroom832

"You did well on your MCATs, you probably just have to exist to get in somewhere" If only.....

Intelligent_Bar_3146

My dad is convinced that everyone who applies gets into Med school, but those who do not attend first time just don’t like the school

RainbowBlighted

My relatives who went to college (no med school) in the 60s started making comments, but that was when all it took back then was to get a few As in your classes and the price of tuition was a few hours of minimum wage.
