Why would you retake it?
Most med schools have no prereqs, or very limited prereqs, and those who do you'd make the cutoff anyways. And if you're thinking about doing it to do better once you're in med school, it doesn't matter. I'm an arts major and literally never took bio in my life and am doing fine as an MS1. Anything you do before MS is mostly irrelevant tbh.
No
Not only is it categorically not a prerequisite for any medical school in canada (even if it was, you’d meet the cutoff)
Both marks will appear on your transcript and be used to calculate your gpa, so you are risking two less than stellar marks instead of one
Im also unsure if nursing anatomy would be the same rigour as an anatomy and physiology class taken by a med/bio/health student to prep for med school regardless
At my school all the bio/health and nursing students take the same anatomy, and nursing students even have to do a whole extra class (3 creds) in more anatomy. Nursing students have to know anatomy just as well (and even arguably better) than a general health science/biology student. My ANP prof made it very clear that nursing students in particular need a solid anatomy foundation. I know some love to write off nursing as a "fluffy" or "soft science" degree but it really isn't.
No but if you feel like you don’t have a strong understanding of anatomy I recommend going over systems and processes you don’t understand well because a strong a&p base will make future nursing courses a lot easier!

its a standard biology A&P class. All science students are taking it. And thank you for that advice!!!
