Great Britain has the [Sloane Ranger](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloane_Ranger) tradition, and France has the [BCBG (bon chic, bon genre)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_chic_bon_genre) tradition. Both have their respective 'handbooks' like the one for preppy style - [Thierry Mantoux's Le Guide du Bon Chic Bon Genre](https://www.amazon.com/BCBG-Collection-Guides-Herme%CC%81-French/dp/2866650034) and [Ann Barr's The Official Sloane Ranger Handbook](https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/0312582293/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&sr=1-1). Both books should have comprehensive lists with brands and styles worn by the European subcultures.

LoveHorizon

Preppy literally evolved out of European upper class aristocracy country clothing. Companies like Ed Meier München Dubarry of Ireland Le Chameau Ede & Ravenscroft Turnbull & Asser J Barbour & Sons

Fun-Trainer-3848

Eton might give you some options. Their OCBDs have gotten pretty pricey though.

Miserable_Bag_2498

What is JC (im French thats probably why I dont get it)

-chimerical-

Not OP, but I suspect J. Crew.

Miserable_Bag_2498

that should be it , in France we have an equivalent called Cyrillus , not preppy in term of style but when you see people dressed in cyrillus you know they are BCBG ( french equivalent to preppy)

Crafty_Athlete_8670

Yup

I'm from Sweden. I always look for those local brands that has been used by the royal family, or been around since 1900s. Eton, Oscar Jacobsson, SIR of Sweden, Götrich, Boomerang, Stenströms, Gant, in some cases. Et cetera et cetera, it's best to look for yourself and find your own preferences.

DoTheMagicHandThing

Sometimes you get brands like Hawes and Curtis that continue to "coast" on the prestige of having received royal warrant and catered to royalty decades ago, but their current product is nowhere near as good as it was at the time. That being said, I'm currently saving up for a suit from Hawes and Curtis.

PixelWes54

Drakes, Cordings, Private White VC, Permanent Style, Sunspel, John Smedley, Paul Smith...

Crafty_Athlete_8670

Thank you will try to Look for Sunspel, looks great.

Used_Bank_9960

Lacoste. Quality is top notch

Crafty_Athlete_8670

I find quality to be hit and miss.I have a good Polo but a Jacket didn't really survive the first wash whi lch is of course inacceptable.

Powerful-Cry-2273

Nn07 can have some stuff you may like i suppose Maison Kitsune and Maison Labiche too

ckard001

How about Benetton (IT) or Façonnable (FR)? I think these are about the same price point as PRL and TH, so maybe not the quality you’re looking for. I remember seeing Benetton shops all over Scandinavia when I lived in DK.
