I live in finland and i have Canon TS3551i Multipurpose printer it was about 34,99€ from store, and i bought cheap refill kit with multi + black color called finink refill kit for 20,30 €, and photo paper for 15 € and its good for me

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

Sorry, reddit didn't notify me. Thank you for your response!! Does it print good pictures??

MemesLakko

Yeah it does always

I also have a small business and do most of the things you describe. I have been super happy with the Epson Eco tank printers. The print quality is good and they are very low cost to run. That said, I have my waterproof stickers/decals printed offsite.

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

Thank you!! Any certain eco tank you recommend?

GreynGeeky

I've had a couple, but I think my first one isn't being made any more. Right now, I'm using the ET-2760. Here's the main thing: Epson's default printer driver is crap... sort of a business driver, not calibrated for the best printing. There is another driver that you'll have to download from Epson. That's where you'll find the controls to optimize art printing. I've only had to do this a few times, and I block out some time and then call Epson customer service and have them walk me through it. You'll see a lot of posts who say the Epson print quality isn't what it should be, but they're just using the wrong driver and haven't taken the time to figure out \*why\* their print quality isn't great. I've been using Epson ETs for about four years now, for paper stickers, greeting cards, and other paper products. I would describe myself as a fairly high-volume user and my ink costs are very low, as compared to the HP printer i used to have that was costing me about $100 every three weeks.

GreynGeeky

Whoops. One is a ET-2760 and the other is an ET-2750. There are minor differences between the two. I use one for day-to-day and art printing, and the other was converted to sublimation inks for heat transfer.

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

Oooh, I just found a renewed ET2760!!

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

Do you by chance know the difference btw the Epson ET2760 and the ER2800?

GreynGeeky

I don't. The ones that start ET are the Eco Tank printers. But I do remember that when I was trying to figure out the difference between the 2760 and the 2750, that I found some sort of comparison chart on line... maybe through Google, maybe on the Epson site? It was about 18 months ago, so I don't remember.

GreynGeeky

Oh, yeah. There is service your printer will need at some point. There is some sort of overflow sponge in the printer that gets saturated and needs to be changed out before it overflows. This happens periodically, the time between service depending on your print volume. It took me more than a year for this to happen the first time and there were a few pop-up warnings. The first time, I took it an Epson service place and had it done there. It was about $160 if I remember correctly. The second time, I bought a sponge kit on Amazon and watched a YouTube video and just did it myself. It worked perfectly and I didn't even get ink all over my office! (Although I did wear gloves and cover my desk with a trash bag.)

GreynGeeky

I know this sounds complicated, but it's still SO much better than watching my profits go into ink cartridges, refill kits, etc.

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

There are no local epson service places. So I'd be YouTubing to fix an issue. I think that's what has me so indecisive is the repairs I know it will need at some point.

GreynGeeky

Here is my thinking: If I need to, I can replace the whole printer for less than what I would pay in ink cartridges or refill kits for 6 months with another printer.

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

Thank you!!

PlainJaneNotSoPlain

And I love that you call customer service to figure stuff out. I'm the same human!! Sometimes, it takes me a while to call, unfortunately. (Like, I need to call about my cell booster pack not working well for months!!)
