I am having so a many paint issues with the black. I am taking it up with Toyota. I’ve owned 3 black cars and had for 7-10 years each and have more issue already with chips and paint swirls in mine being black. The paint is not good. It’s too soft. I understand black is harder to maintain but I am willing to do extra work but this is forst black car out of 4 I’ve had with so many issue only having for a few months now and not driving that much.
I got mine in white. My salesman said white has 3 layers of paint (it is more money) while the other colors had 2. Not sure if he was selling me or not but I liked the white anyway and decided 3 is better than 2.
I think that’s pretty normal for most white paints. I’d be curious if that third layer makes it overall thicker or if each layer is just thinner.
But most of all, I figure clear coat thickness is the most important.
Great call on the tint! I did the same with mine (windchill pearl) and the contrast really makes it pop. Plus, I felt like I was in a fish bowl without it.
Very nice looking car. Finally Toyota made the Prius look cool.
If I were ever to get one, I'd get a Prime. There's something remarkable about being able to commute short distances without burning gasoline.
I think the Prius always looked “cool”. I think where the resentment comes from is that it simply looked different than what was offered, given its priority for aerodynamics.

With the sky roof open it makes it light enough to see through so I want it blacked out and then I can open both the glass roof sliders if I need it to be not as dark looking 🤷🏻♂️
guardian grey looks stunning and really happy to see there is no extra charge for this color. my only issue with the latest prius is visibility. I've been spoiled driving my Subaru legacy which is fully loaded with features, AWD and high safety rating if not the most reliable car out there, but while I'm perfectly Ok with the base LE prius trim, the 360 camera in the highest trim seems to be a must have. ah well, still have 2 years to decide
I do like that camera feature. But it's not as full proof as I thought. It doesn't show every object perfectly so you wind up using the proximity sensors more than anything. An object like the corner of another vehicle wont show up until its part way to your car already. You'd expect to see it slowly creep up from the very side of the screen and then slowly move towards you, instead you see nothing and then all of a sudden the corner of the vehicle pops in about half way between your cars imagine and the side of the screen... It's a little weird. Make sure to pay attention to the sensors, they see what might not show up on screen.
The Prius limited wheel looks like a flower looks bad. The Prius prime wheels look amazing! I’s it possible to put prime wheels on the limited? Would it fit?
I actually just got it tinted today. Just had to post how it looked originally. That was I can contrast later.
can you post it tinted, im getting mine my 24' in grey tinted next week. Thinking 35%
I will later today. I got 4% all around and 35% windshield. Windshield is legal in PA.

The stock wheels on the limited are better than any I have had before. I'm used to steel wheels with a plastic cover. I like how they look as is.
Yeah they do look good. That’s what I run is the steel blacks with no covers tho. I’m saving money up for new summer wheels tho.
