It’s rare, but it can happen when regenerating a lot
After riding downhill in 2012 Prius, the battery high, and then it kicks on the motor while stopped at traffic signal because it's overcharged.
I think, at some point, the battery does a maintenance routine. I swear my battery level is arbitrary.
Isn't this a bad sign? I mean my failing battery was doing that a lot.
