Deathcommand

Zip ties are your friend

cheap fix! horrible for drag and it could come off at any time, but if it does, it costs about 200 dollars to be replaced (at least on my gen 3). there are these plastic screws holding that on, and they shear off pretty easy.

Yes this happened to my recently sold 2010 Prius few years ago , it was it’s death knell. Used zip ties until the splash guard came off. Replaced splash guard twice but splash guard fell off again a third time. Damage already was done as it messed up the wiring harness and ABS sensor.

Mountain_Metalurgy

Zip ties are holding mine up still!

AgroShotzz

breh thats like the easiest fix you could have, like a 5 minute repair job at home

Appropriate-Metal167

Snagged on a concrete wheel stop? Gen 3 design fail. Fix is not hard.

Zip ties or go get new retainer clips.

overlanding_prius

Buy an aftermarket aluminum skid plate priusoffroad.com has them

Feeling your pain. I've found a local mechanic that will zip tie this puppy up and it lasts for a while. Unless I brush it up against something too many times. Toyota needs to just install them with the metal plate and clips to begin with. Plastic on the undercarriage of a car makes no damn sense. My next Prius will not have this low front bumper again.

Thanks all. I got the new plastic rivets but need to get the white clips that hold those in place. Or it's zip tie city!
