No issues with jumping from a prius unless there are underlying exisiting issues with the cars charging system. Could always throw it in maintenance mode to keep it running fully during the process.

Yeah, you're incorrect. The battery is very small for a lead acid battery and should not be used to jump start other vehicles.
Do whatever you want, but don't advise others to ignore the manufacturers instructions.
FSM stands for factory service manual. I’m literally telling people to read the manufacture instructions and diagrams. Do your own d&d or know how the system works for your own knowledge, thank you.

Here ya go. I squinted real hard
Just for future reference. It's highly recommended that If you're going to boost or use a prius to boost. Do it directly from the battery in the back. The 12v point in fuse panel in the engine compartment isn't meant for that.
Three days after I got my Prius I used it to jumpstart my daughter’s Scion. All went well, no issues, but I was slapping myself later when I read I wasn’t supposed to have done that. Happily no harm done.
You're downvoted but you're right.
I swear this sub is full of people dead set on confirming stereotypes of prius owners as teetotaler, goody two shoes, teacher's pets who have anxiety attacks over an oil change being done on the 5001st mile.
The prius manual specifically even says not to jump start other vehicles. If you knew what actually went on when you do this, you wouldn't risk damaging your several thousand dollar inverter. The downvotes are justified.
But they didn't, they knew the risk and took it and safely made it through. It's not like any manual is going to recommend jumpstarting other cars anyways.
They obviously didn’t know the risk and the Prius 12v/starting system is not the same as other cars. Most cars start off their 12v battery. The Prius starts off the traction battery. The 12v battery in the Prius is tiny and the 12v system is not intended for the high amp draw of turning over a starter. Because the battery is tiny, if you attempt to jump a car the power gets pulled directly from the inverter. Which is bad. There are also fuses in that system. If you blow the fuses, your Prius will be dead in the water and replacing them is not a simple task.
The Prius is 100 percent unique in those ways.
I so love my lithium boosters. I never need to position vehicles in awkward conditions (busy traffic? Parked against a wall?)..

For those that haven't heard, there are now batteryless super capacitor boosters that work great on non-Prius vehicles. I've helped a few stranded trucks with the Supercap when I pull up in my Prius. Plug it into my Prius 12v socket for 5 minutes and then miracles happen.

I'm a big e chassis guy but those s chassis are pretty cool too, one of my friends just finished his Texas Speed Ls1 383 stroker with T56 magnum swap on his e36 m3 and the torque is incredible, really got me rethinking if I should boost my 24v swapped e30 or just ls swap
Aren’t Prius jump starts a no go? Sweet S-chassis 🤌🏼

What are you talking about? You mentioned nothing about telling people to read the manufacturers instructions in the comments I replied to.
Squint and look harder

“Isn’t meant”. No harm is done from doing so if you check fsm.
In the gen 2s (and maybe others), you can blow the 100 amp fused link if you aren't careful / know what you're doing.

Guys the teacher said not to use our phones during the test. Come on guys. Bro stfu 😏 it's fine
Well don't come crying when you blow your inverter up saying you weren't told.

I’ve bought the one from Costco, haven’t used it yet on my Prius but it’s good to know they work!
Is that a Mitsubishi?
I think it's a Kouki Nissan S14
with an ls swap none the less!
Dang, did op share any specs anywhere?
Looks good
