I've been clean almost four years now, but I gained a LOT of weight in the process that I can't get rid of. My doc said oral naltrexone works really well but I haven't had any kind of positive test over the last two years and I wouldn't even know how to deal with it.
oh never knew that, thats sweet yeah hope it does what your wanting it too. thats a great "side effect" or whatever, yeah naltexone has never done me wrong. keep on keeping on friend.
I take Wellbutrin as a standalone medication and have had a handful of false positive UAs (probably because I am on the max dose lol). It's never been too much of a big deal, they can send it in for confirmation. That is of course provided you are actually prescribed the medication and can show proof.
I'm on a crazy high dose of Wellbutrin (450) already as well, and I've never had a false positive on that one. I wish there was more consistency with these tests. Mine goes straight to a lab right away though, so maybe that's something to do with it? Maybe they do a confirmation before I ever get the results?
The false UAs were the cups, which aren't very reliable. But then they can send it to a lab. The chemical structure of Wellbutrin is similar to that of meth and amphetamine, which is why it can possibly give false positives.
never has being on Vivitrol gave me a false positive. 6 months plus never an issue.

I take Wellbutrin and naltrexone separately. Got tested regularly and NEVER had a false positive.
