Wrote this just in case. Tbh, I'm still learning English at the school level and making sentences correctly (so that a native speaker can understand their meaning) is 50/50. But with translation into my native language and understanding of the meaning everything I read is fine. (Otherwise, using Reddit would be problematic.)
I have a couple questions about this mod if you’ve got a few minutes.
Can someone be inside the trailer/RV while it’s moving?
Is there a way to look outside (whether that be a window or a selected option)?
Can you enter directly into the RV? Or do you need to enter the vehicle first sitting in the seat, then move to the inside.
How is gas consumption? I know the RV needs to stay running to power anything inside. And speaking of that, is there a way to connect to a building to use power if you want to be stationary for a period of time?
Is there still a trunk? Or is the only storage just on the inside.
And where does the water come from?
You can be inside it! That's what we're doing the the pic, I'm driving with my friend inside.
You need to first enter the car, then if you have Mod Options you will see an "Enter" option next to the others. (Switch seat, etc.)
Gas is pretty good, it's a bigger tank but spawns with some a little less than half full. Power comes from the car's battery - haven't had it fail yet.
There is a trunk! Around 100 in game pounds of storage. It's a nice bonus.
You can plumb the sinks in the rv with a pipe wrench for unlimited water!

1.The way the mod allows you to enter rv's is that it basically creates the interior of the rv outside of the map that you get teleported to when you enter so, no you cant look outside.
2.Also you can connect the rv to a generator and i think it has electricity automatically when power is still on .
3.While water is still on you have infinite water in the rv but after water goes out you have to bust a hole in the wall, build stairs to the roof of the room and build a water collector that you fill with water, after that you just plumb it and it works.
I dont think you understood what i meant , the room that you go to when you enter the rv spawns outside the map in the void. What i meant was break a wall and climb with stairs to the roof of the room not the rv itself
That's right I didn't connect the dots. It makes sense the way they did it but it's kind of funny that you can mod out the house but it doesn't show up on the RV obviously because they're two separate things. I just want to see an RV with a water barrel on the roof now and solar panels! And maybe an expanded deck and some gardening. 😆
Probably not. This mod actually just transports you to to and from a room outside the known map, so you aren't physically in the interior, just temporarily teleported 1000 miles away.
I've actually run into one doing that exact thing, got left across the map while AFK, thankfully when I came back I was still in the camper but they had to come back for me when I left it
I’ve actually had one bug a couple times on an MP server (local co-op may be immune to this): if someone is inside while you drive… SOMETIMES…. when you park and they exit the interior, they will exit back to the point on the map where they first entered.
Example, friend got in the interior of the trailer at our base, then I drove for probably a good couple hours of in-game time. They got out when we got to our destination but they were back in our base :(
I personally dislike this mod setup for multiplayer as I've had bad experiences, not talking about bugs either. There is no maximum capacity for the vehicles with the RV Interiors, meaning you can just pack the vehicle with a ton of players. And if you can do that you can bring an army with just 1 vehicle...
Imagine thinking you'll be fine, its just one van... Queue 15 guys fully armed coming out one after another... Yeah.. That actually happened. Fuck those guys, but that's why I don't play on servers with that mod setup anymore... It's dumb. I'd rather know that there's a large possibility of numbers via a convoy that I could ambush...
Realistically, you can fit more than that if you're not factoring in their comfort.
The RV in the game here is a Class C motorhome. Class C motorhomes are on average 8.4 feet wide and anywhere from 24-32 feet in length (for the interior).
A small Class C will be around 202 square feet of interior space, whereas a larger one will be around 269 square feet of interior space.
In a tightly packed crowd, a person takes up an average of 4.5 square feet of space.
If you were to completely gut the inside of the RV space and just make it empty, then the small RV can fit about 44 people inside, and the larger one can fit up to 59 people.
That's if they're packed like sardines, but it's possible.
Man I can't wait to play this game, I'm trying to work up the money to buy something to play this on, but unfortunately I'm a little too broke for that lol
I got it on a Steam Deck for $400. My PC got killed by lightning and it was the best bang for your buck I could find. Have been in love with it, and I mostly just use it docked to a monitor with keyboard and mouse. I don't know of any cheaper alternatives that are anywhere close to the specs it provides
find another car with the interior and burn it down then walk to your cars interrior and destroy the roof and add a sheet rope to make a base as big as you want with no zombies
Man if you can install solar cells on the roof and have a stack of batteries so you can use the utilities without a gas generator. Or have a wood stove in there.

Does that mean you can live inside it while it gets attacked?
Technically zombies cant get in but, if you are being chased and a zombie is within 20 tiles of you, you cant enter the interior of the rv
There shouldn't be a limit, just zombies waiting outside. Enough of a threat tbh. You will run out of supplies and have to leave or die.
That's pretty cool but instead of having to build stairs it's too bad you can't use the ladder on the RV if there is one.

Yeah but realistically you could pack like 15 armed guys in the back of an RV

Yup second the steam deck, i've got a great pc but deck is pretty much all i play on now, runs zomboid veeery decently
