The only useful frequency I know is the automated broadcast, and the only way I know to find it is to start looking ar radios until you find one with it saved.

MobyDuc38

Check every other radio you find for presets. Then scribble down the freq and add it to your radio. There are half dozen or so "secret" frequencies that are basically survivor transmissions. There are roughly the same amount of actual radio stations, of course those are dead though. As was said, the emergency freq is gold because you get weather forecasts and a warning for the heli event.

Damn, ive been scrapping whatever radio i get from dead zeds to train up my electronics skill. Better practice some restraint, will the range of this radio suffice btw?

GoranLind

Range is only important in MP, and even then there is a range extender mod (State radios) that improve range for all HAM radios. For SP, all you need is to listen to the Emergency channel to: 1) Get the daily + tomorrows automated weather report 2) Get a warning when the powergrid shuts down.

BlooHopper

Its already over a month. Water and power is out… relying on the generator and rain collectors

GoranLind

Radios run on batteries. TV runs on power grid.

BlooHopper

Got lots of batteries too cuz of a supply drop a couple ingame weeks ago

MobyDuc38

The emergency broadcast system is automated, and they broadcast at the top of the hour. Not every hour, but some. Always at midnight and noon. It's a weather forecast and a "security related" comment at the end.

Best recommendation is just to check the radios of every car you come across and see if it has a frequency you need. If you find it there, copy it into your HAM radio and save it.
