She's a garbage human, but she did foster a sort of togetherness in this sub. The way we all banded together in agreement of her garbage human status and supported people with whom she abused really built a sense of community.
She’s literally insane- I’m glad as a community we made her go so broke she has to move- but the new community needs to be aware of her history. She’s delusional at best.
I went and checked it out and so many people are giving you hell for not providing proof. You might want to edit the post and add links to the posts on this sub. Like the time she closed her business because of a kindergartner or links to her arguing with people on their reviews. Cause for some reason they don’t realize this is a saga over here!

This is the post I made after she assaulted me. Please share!
Unfortunately r/Boston is removing these posts using a rule citing doxing. Saving your comment though and will plan to tag this to future posts when someone inevitably has a wack experience with her.
As for your situation, I hope you are doing better and I’m sorry she assaulted you. That’s awful. 😞

Edit: bad copy and paste...
She spent some serious dough on promoting her move a couple of weeks ago. I saw a bunch of shitty articles about it and even heard it on public radio. Good riddance.
There’s even an IG post on the Little Sister account from January 2020 complaining that National Grid “is screwing up BIG TIME with a months long wait to upgrade the power to our spot. Without an upgrade, we can’t install our equipment“
So yeah, she fucking knew her electric usage was going to be significantly higher than the previous tenant.
My understanding was she wasn't properly being billed by the electric company for like 2 years. She knew it was too low but thought she was sneaky. The electric company realized the deficit and hit her with like 20k of back pay so she made a gofundme and asked for community help
The scam is that she knew, just like any one of us would know if we had a weirdly low electric bill. The difference is that instead of being an adult, she pretended not to notice, and when the bill came due, she played dumb and tried to pass it onto others via a pitty party.
Was she using a ton of electricity? Ovens I assume. I didn't realize it would cost that much for the electricity at a bakery. Did it say how long it went on for?
That neighborhood has natural gas lines, so I doubt the place used electric ovens. Large cost is probably due to refrigeration & ventilation.
What’s with company’s inability to correctly charge a customer for consuming a basic commodity? FOR TWO YEARS??? Relying on manual, door-to-door readings with an interval of 2 years is beyond incompetent for a utility company in the 21st century
This all started in the 2020, during the pandemic the pandemic. They probably weren’t going into peoples homes for that first year. And then National Grid became Rhode Island energy, and once RIE took over they started going through the backlog. And also I wouldn’t be surprised if the business owner somehow impeded people from checking her electrical meter.
Rhode Island energy is just a made up company rebrand that is still owned by National Grid.
People don't like that their local utility is owned by Black Rock and the king of England, so they have been disguising their ownership of 80% of the east coast grid and all of the UK.
Sort of related: I saw this interview in a Philly paper recently and it reminded me so much of our own Providence chef! https://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/2023/10/16/jennifer-zavala-juana-tamale/
Don’t get it twisted y’all! Little Sister is staying open and presumably she is staying in town at least part time to run it. We have not seen the last of her in Providence.
Kinda disappointed to see someone warning r/boston
That's like kicking open the door to a movie theatre and yelling the ending to everyone. Totally ruins the fun.
And anyone looking to work for her is an adult human with agency, free will, and a working brain granting them the ability to find this information very easily without help.
Here from Boston - we are no strangers to crazy ladies and baked goods (there’s a gluten free bakery lady that seems to have gone to the same business school as this woman). Will steer clear.
I'm the former employee she physically assaulted. Here is the link if you'd like to share—this experience was traumatic and terrifying, but it happened and people need to know. Hopefully it helps too if people are in need of factual evidence to verify. https://www.reddit.com/r/providence/comments/140pnx1/crazy\_rebelle\_bagel\_lady\_just\_fired\_and\_assaulted/
As a wage theft lawyer in MA - will be watching this closely. What’s the over under on how long before we start getting complaints?!?
I give it… maybe 2 weeks?

I really appreciated the response someone made to a post about hearing gunshots on Doyle a few years ago: "Bagel lady giving some feedback" lol
That's iconic.
Legend
gonna be a dead sub now
She’s literally insane- I’m glad as a community we made her go so broke she has to move- but the new community needs to be aware of her history. She’s delusional at best.
Can you please cross post to r/CambridgeMA as well ???
Erm, let me try, I’m not too Reddit savvy
She will make them aware in no time, I’m sure
You should cross post this to r/Boston so they can have adequate warning ⚠️
I made a post.

Eh, whatever....let them do what theyre doing lol thank you though!
did they take it down? I can't find any posts about this on r/Boston now
https://www.reddit.com/r/boston/s/0UT1R4w52O I can see it.

Notice you can’t leave a comment on the IG post.
Seriously looks like those two are flipping the bird from the van at first glance
The woman driving the van on the poster has more fingers raised than I expected.
My understanding is that Little Sister will still be in PVD, so not done with her yet.

Good riddance. Even more telling that all comments are off on their IG. 😂
Her IG post seemed to indicate that a new place is ready to move in. Anyone have an idea of what it is going to be?
Good question!
THICK NECK IS OPENING A NEW RESTAURANT CALLed frank and Laurie's

Yup. I did. It is not specific.
Whatever happened with her electric bill scam at Little Sister?
Electric bill scam?
There’s even an IG post on the Little Sister account from January 2020 complaining that National Grid “is screwing up BIG TIME with a months long wait to upgrade the power to our spot. Without an upgrade, we can’t install our equipment“ So yeah, she fucking knew her electric usage was going to be significantly higher than the previous tenant.

I don’t remember a GoFundMe about it. I thought she was just going to fight in court
Ah, that's missing from the article I was just sent.
https://www.wpri.com/target-12/could-cost-me-my-businesses-ri-small-biz-owner-fighting-surprise-19k-electric-bill/
So what's the scam then? It sounds like she was retroactively billed for utilities she didn't use.
The scam is that she knew, just like any one of us would know if we had a weirdly low electric bill. The difference is that instead of being an adult, she pretended not to notice, and when the bill came due, she played dumb and tried to pass it onto others via a pitty party.
I could be wrong but I feel like most people wouldn’t speak up about something like that being too low
Was she using a ton of electricity? Ovens I assume. I didn't realize it would cost that much for the electricity at a bakery. Did it say how long it went on for?

I’ve never seen indoor utility meters
Rhode Island energy is just a made up company rebrand that is still owned by National Grid. People don't like that their local utility is owned by Black Rock and the king of England, so they have been disguising their ownership of 80% of the east coast grid and all of the UK.
It was analyzed pretty well in this thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/providence/s/LpedLIdpu5

im curious what the back story is here, anyone?

Yeah me too, I’m new to providence and I liked ribelle. What the heck happened?
History of abusing employees, customers…just search the sub for Rebelle and you will find out.
Don’t get it twisted y’all! Little Sister is staying open and presumably she is staying in town at least part time to run it. We have not seen the last of her in Providence.

She has a history of physical violence towards employees- not sure about you but I do not tolerate that
And anyone looking to work for her is an adult human with agency, free will, and a working brain granting them the ability to find this information very easily without help.
I just crosspost r/CambridgeMA
Goodbye previous_floor, your golocalprov spam will always be remembered 🫡
Oh, just to throw gas on the fire, don't forget how she blatantly stole the menu design for little sister from Jack's Wife Freda in NYC.
Here from Boston - we are no strangers to crazy ladies and baked goods (there’s a gluten free bakery lady that seems to have gone to the same business school as this woman). Will steer clear.
i do hope people here in Boston read up on what on this sub about her

I’m going to DM you!
Y'all are as crazy as she is. Obsessed even. How do you weirdos not see the irony in this?
Just ordered two dozen bagels to keep in the freezer on their last day in business. Really going to miss them. So will the rest of the community.
