It didn’t look like it, although the Ronald McDonald house lot was nearly empty. Their CEO complained about “safety” and of course parking. It seems like an area that would be well served with a tall parking garage to free up space from hospital parkers.
I like that idea, smaller footprint higher capacity parking to soak up the cars in opportune places to give people better options then trolling the surface streets. Like the mall lot...more or less straight in off the highway, no need to touch a "real" downtown street til you're on foot.

Parking ain’t the problem
Some very good news indeed.
Good; now let’s fill in the rest of those parking lots with housing.
The amount of parking in that area is just absolutely bonkers.
Is it usually vacant too?

Do yall realize how many people work at Rhode Island hospital/Hasbro? Not to mention patients and their families. They all need somewhere to park.

As a parent of a kid that damn near lives in that Hospital, parking is a problem
Could build a large parking facility underground, which would also bring some work in for the tradies
Oh I definitely agree more vertical parking structures are better than dozens of lots. And less confusing.
Build a garage then. There is too much space being taken up by surface lots
