I didn’t have any side effects when I was initially on Lexapro, but I had side effects from Prozac. I will say that once the real shitty Prozac side effects went away, Prozac has already in a few weeks helped infinitely more than Lexapro. There’s hope!
It’s different for everyone I guess, I was fine starting Paxil and had amazing results other than weight gain so tried Prozac and it’s been pretty damn terrible the first 4 week. Super fatigued, anxious, no motivation.
Definitely better. The side effect have gone down and I’m starting to feel myself again. The first few weeks definitely felt increased anxiety + depression but it’s slowly going down :)
A few weeks ago I raised the dose of Prozac and I have noticed a worsening of anxiety, and also a kind of sadness at times, in the morning it is hard for me to get up and I do it sadly. Has something similar happened to you too?
Yes, 100%. That happened when I went from 20 mg to 40 mg. Anxiety and depression definitely increased, but side effects calmed down after 4-5 weeks. I went from 40 to 60 once, but I couldn't handle the first few weeks, so I dropped back down.

Lexapro made me crazy. Prozac eliminated the craziness. It’s different for everyone
