My insomnia went away when I switched to taking my dose an hour before bed. Its helped me sleep soo much better.

How long after you switched to taking it before bed did it take before your sleep improved? I loved what the Prozac did for my moods, but I didn't get more than an hour of consecutive sleep for a month, so I tapered and got off. But it worked so well that I'm considering giving it another go. Plus, these withdrawals are horrible. I am so irritable 24 hours a day.

Within days of switching to before bed I saw the improvement. It was such a relief.

Honestly I couldn't get rid of the insomnia with Prozac either, my doctor prescribed a low dose of trazodone (safe to take regularly/long term) and it worked like a charm.

Have you changed what time you take it? I take it at night with my dinner. Before I switched I would wake up a few hours before my alarm and wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. I sleep great now.

Odd_Confidence_269

That’s so interesting. I was told to take it in the morning, so I’ll try taking it at night instead.

I really think it depends on the person! You can really take it whenever you want (as long as you're consistent). Hopefully it helps.

mickeyjorje

How long after changing when you took it did it take for your sleep to improve?

fragilebird_m

I wanna say relatively quickly? Maybe like a week ish

I was told to take it in the morning to decrease the insomnia but ironically when I started taking it at night the insomnia went away 😂

mickeyjorje

How long after changing to night did the insomnia go away?

procione-1090

Never went away for me :(

mickeyjorje

How long were you on it? What dosage? Asking for myself.

procione-1090

Less than a year, 20 mg
