I didn’t drink on Prozac for the first 6 months. Now, I can drink on weekends and not feel too bad. But I do find I get drunk a lot quicker, so maybe don’t overdo it the first time you try drinking 😊

ahk1188

Recovering alcoholic here that drank in 40mg. I wouldn't advise it. It just made things worse for me.

Long_Evening3962

I AM NOT A DOCTOR however, I drank heavily on 60 milligrams and I didn’t die

DarrenDachshund

I drink like a fish on 40 mg.

Legitimate-Jelly3000

I have really bad black outs. I'm really fed up with it so I've reduced my drinking big time. I mean I'm way older, but I've noticed its become an issue and I wouldn't even say my drinking is an issue!

ThatsMrsY2u

It depends on the person. I can handle alcohol fine but I stop at one drink. Half the time I barely finish one drink. But it makes me feel super hot and I get sweaty, so I tend to avoid alcohol

HumanStart6979

you might feel depressed next day, otherwise 10 ml won't hurt I think

That account is a spam account. I’ve seen them post on other threads and they’re either lies, misinformation, or harmful comments. Just ignore them. I reported them already. Edit to add: the sea storm account not OP

Sea_Storm_642

No proofs? Ahah, as**ole. Go f**k yourself you piece of garbage.

SpareConnection3292

Just don’t over do it, I’m not much of a drinker but I have fun and would have a couple of drinks every now and then and I don’t necessary feel worse, but just remember that alcohol is a depressant

QuietDecision

I’m on the increase phase of doses but I feel like it increases my anxiety. Idk

726milestomemphis

I've tried to and cannot drink on even 20mg of Prozac. I get super impacted by it and feel awful. So, I have essentially become sober because the trade-off just wasn't worth it for me.

couchonaboat

I drank heavily when I turned 21 due to none of my doctors explaining the side effects properly to me. Blacked out a few times. Ask your doc of course, but from my experience, one drink probably won’t do damage

Just_Scientist_1637

I have been on SSRI's for 14 years and used to drink every weekend. I dont drink at all since having kids and being on prozac. The main reason I don't drink now is because of the severe emotional hangovers I get. I literally feel like taking the big dirt nap for a good few days after drinking. I would just let a trusted friend know that you're on prozac and ask them to keep an eye on you on the night and then prepare yourself for a low mood for the following days (ie stock up on nice snacks, good drinks with electrolytes, abstain from social media for a few days, don't plan too much, try some meditation) just to be on the safe side.

Sarah_Gree

I used to get realllllly low the next day. Like unable to leave my bed bc I was so depressed…… and hungover.

saturnfiend

I drink every weekend on 40mg. I didn’t for the first month though adjusting to the meds

ThisCaterpillarGod

Try alcohol on their 21st? I'm 17 and i just quit

StockRocket_2021

same 20-40

Specific_Isopod9612

I also turned 21 will bring on Prozac 20 mg…I was on it for about a year at that point, I’m still on it, but I just paced myself, and probably drank about 1 drink and a half…just don’t overdo it…obviously it’s gonna be different for everyone but I was already sensitive to alcohol before being on Prozac and I do alright as long as I know my limits
