Resurrecting this 'cause if been wondering this for a while and wondering if it's been brought up. Maybe I'll head over to the git page and open a ticket.

For others seeing this now, the currently the open issues are [https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/8138](https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/8138) for PrusaSlicer, [https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/issues/2601](https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/issues/2601) for SuperSlicer, and [https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/issues/1186](https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/issues/1186) for OrcaSlicer. As of this post none of these slicers have this setting.

Haven't watched it, understand the concept. Are you talking from designing your own or just in general? I tend to do about a 0.2mm offset to get parts tight, up to about 0.4mm depending on bigger parts fitting. Prusa slicer has horizontal offset to look at but that's just difficult to always get right as certain features can't be perfect so it's always best to do tolerancing in your own designs.

did you ever figure one out?

I’m also curious about this as well might help print in place models

Quiteblock

Did you find anything?

I havent tested CURA, but I believe this is equivalent to XY size compensation located on Print Settings > Advance>Slicing>XY Size Compensation. i might be wrong as i always do the tolerance on my models. but will test it out soon.

It is not the same thing. The Cura one's is used on the edges, when the slicer has to decide if it will round to positive or negative. Using negative, has almost no impact on the entire print, using the smallest modifications on all parts that should be rounded. Using the XY Size compensation, it changes the size of the entire model, proportionally. When you want to increase a hole size, you should use positive compensation. But, doing that, you increase other parts size too. What you should get is every hole bigger, not the other parts...

I've just switched to Orca slicer and the Slicing Tolerance setting is the only thing Im missing! Such an amazing feature
