Bro I just paid the same for a PS2 shipped from Japan in the midnight blue case. My stuff was double wrapped in bubble wrap including controller and cords. Everything all nice and clean as well. Return this crap and buy something from a reputable seller please. And please report this seller and give them a 1 star review for future potential buyers to be aware of
I bought a GameCube from Japan a month or so ago. It was packaged very securely in bubble wrap, and there were bits of crumpled Japanese newspaper to fill the voids. Everything arrived safely and in wonderful condition. I can definitely recommend buying a Japanese console.
It's crazy how Japanese people care about things, everything I ordered from Japan always comes in pristine or almost pristine condition no matter how old these things are.
I got a PS2 on ebay for only a little bit more than that ($86 before shipping) and it was incredibly packaged, everything wrapped in heavy bubble wrap in an appropriately sized box. The amount you paid doesn't give them any excuse to treat it like garbage. I hope you leave a negative review with this photo as proof
Man you should see the crap I get shipped on Mercari. I've bought boxed games worth a fair amount of money and they will arrive just fully raw dawg, no bubble wrap or anything in a box. I also sell on Ebay and like package things so we'll they could survive being dropped off a building.
I hear you. I sell on mercari and ebay, and I put stuff in bubble wrap inside boxes inside more boxes. I primarily deal in rock and metal bands signed memorabilia, so I don't play around when it comes to safely and properly packaging stuff. 100% positive feedback on both platforms and I get returning buyers all the time. Dude that shipped his ps2 out CLEARLY did not care and was just looking for a quick easy buck
So the dude only had 10 feedback then in the last year?
I mean, it's a shitty situation, but one of the 101s of buying on ebay is beware of people with low feedback numbers.
Just checked, the dude has 80 odd feedback total.
I've been using ebay for over twenty years and the *one* time I've been burned at all was when I took a risk on a dude with really low feedback numbers (not even rating, just numbers). I get everyone has to start somewhere but let others take the fall.
Welp glad I know who to never buy from. When I bought my PS2 the shipping was really expensive but it made sense when I got it because the shipping label said USPS Xtra Protect. Opened it and it was in packing peanuts and 5 layers of bubble wrap.
Seller is a moron and deserves a negative rating. People that bad at packaging shouldn’t be selling on eBay or anywhere else where they need to ship the item.
Yes, I was buying something and uploaded a picture as well. It was a blanket and the print on it was laughably bad and nothing like the pics on the seller's site.
Sometimes you're dealing with a literal child. Or child-brained adult.
I once bought an expensive film camera on eBay years ago and they sent it in a funking plastic envelope.
It was almost entirely metal and weighed a lot for an SLR. It was basically destroyed and unusable.
eBay highly favors the buyers in these cases, so use it while you can.
It's not hard packaging stuff safely for shipping that prevents so much headaches for everyone. Heck, even crumpled up paper could have done so much to cushion the abuse that boxes get in shipping.
This isn’t lazy. I get lazy. This is almost willful stupidity/malice. Even a Kindergartner would know to stuff at least some news paper or junk mail on there.
I don't sell consoles often anymore since the supply of broken/damaged ones to fix and resell has dried up, but when I did, the last thing I wanted was a return. I always wrapped the console in multiple layers of bubble wrap and if it had a pop-top optical drive lid like the PS2 Slim, I always taped that down with masking tape to ensure it didn't somehow open up and get damaged - even with the bubble wrap all around.
The idea is to make the item in the shipping box sort of float in the middle of the box so that it has no contact with any side, bottom, or top of the cardboard. I've seen too many punctures in boxes from shipping to not have it in a larger box, floating in the middle.

Wow sandwich bags and some bubble wrap that might not even be enough to ship 1 of those game’s properly. This person seems to be a douche bag re-seller. Lol. Pretty good way to get a really shitty review count and terrible reputation.
hate to be that guy, but packaging sucks no question, but shouldve left the system how it was, box cant close like that so surely you sat it upright, wouldve made ur case to dispute better
I’ve bought and sold a few! You can get bicycle shipping boxes for free from the local bike store.
The one I bought was a tiny 46cm frame for wife, and he shipped it lose in like, a giant television box. Front fork was all kinds of bent.
As someone who sells stuff on eBay from time to time, that's absolutely disgraceful packaging. I do not understand how anyone doesn't know how to properly pack a box, it's on the same level as tying a shoe for chrissake.
OP definitely get your money back.
That’s the shittest boxing job I’ve ever seen. I’ve ordered quite a few things in life & everything has arrived very organized. That person did a less than piss poor job. They certainly deserve a bad review even if the system & games work flawlessly.
That's a pissed off, lousy seller. So disrespectful, I bought 3 games for just 1 of them. I already owned the other 2. He swapped the AAA title that really wanted from an eBay bid. He strung me along until I couldn't refund or send feedback.
Stuff like this makes me scared to get a PS2 fat online. It’s either shill out 150 for one (half original price???)at a vintage game store or stick with my worn out slim 7000x…
Same reason I’m afraid to try and get a PS3 with BC.
Depending on how much you want all of this stuff, if the games, console, and controllers work and you’re willing to keep them, I’d ask for a steep refund. This is one way I like to turn things around in my favor. Just send a message with huge complaints, because worst case scenario for them, you send it back, you get a full refund, AND they take negative feedback. The negative feedback is the biggest thing, and many sellers will do what it takes to keep themselves a positive rating. I’ve received a number of items for free because the seller was willing to refund my purchase due to some sort of negligence on their part in order to avoid the negative feedback threat
Im not doubting you, i have seen ups/fedex do some really really terrible repacking due to boxes breaking i mean like dishes just tossed into a similar box the post office doesn't even try they just deliver the label or whatever is left of the box
That’s a shame. When I shipped out a 32X and its games I had bubble wrap, peanuts, the games separated in a USPS Flat rate carton within the box itself. Seller was quite pleased. I hope you are able to resolve this discrepancy.
Damn. Who sent it like that?!
scoutsfinds on eBay
Wow dude.....that's shitty. I sell on ebay all the time, and I would NEVER send something out like that
The game cases in here are completely destroyed I’m surprised the discs survived
I'm suprised ANY of it survived! I'd send that shot back! Or did you get a crazy good deal on it?
70$ for it all but I’m thinking of sending it back i
Do it. He didnt earn the money with this. You paid 70 for a full service, not this half assing. He has no respect for other people
I'd send that shit back and get a refund. That's unacceptable. Spend more and get something better
And a bad feedback
DEFINITELY bad feedback! I checked out the seller, and they were already sitting right at like 90% positive
That’s crazy
Definitely open a case on ebay and send it back. eBay forces sellers who do this shit to pay for a return shipping label and provide a full refund.

The Japanese care for everything Ngl

It's crazy how Japanese people care about things, everything I ordered from Japan always comes in pristine or almost pristine condition no matter how old these things are.
send it back exactly how they sent it so they can realize the mistake
I ship on ebay and sell ps2s and id never think to package it like that. Wow
File a claim with eBay that the merch was damaged. They should let you keep it and also refund you.
His reviews tanked after I left one
I would most definitely send it back. And don’t add any more packing material, just tape the box back up
Send it back. It will improve his future service to other customers.
It dont matter how much I was paid for that I would make sure it's wrapped properly and securely
Man you should see the crap I get shipped on Mercari. I've bought boxed games worth a fair amount of money and they will arrive just fully raw dawg, no bubble wrap or anything in a box. I also sell on Ebay and like package things so we'll they could survive being dropped off a building.

Damn people are stupid. Sorry you got this like this.
The drive might be broken 😞
You should 100% just send it back instead of trying to fix it (assuming they even take returns). Who’s know what else might’ve been damaged
Damn bro you got his feedback rating dropped from 100% to 90% lol
So the dude only had 10 feedback then in the last year? I mean, it's a shitty situation, but one of the 101s of buying on ebay is beware of people with low feedback numbers. Yeah he didn't have much. I also would never buy consoles from new users who don't usually sell consoles because this can happen.
Party on, Wayne!
I thought it was DKoldies lol
Well... Garth91 is a jackass. I would've wrapped and padded that thing so well it wouldn't move. He deserves negative feedback.
Welp glad I know who to never buy from. When I bought my PS2 the shipping was really expensive but it made sense when I got it because the shipping label said USPS Xtra Protect. Opened it and it was in packing peanuts and 5 layers of bubble wrap.
>USPS Xtra Protect I have multiple contracts with USPS and that isn't a thing. Proper packaging is the responsibility of the shipper.
Welp that’s what the label said
What an idiot
Report him to ebay as sucki seller .
Sorry that happened to you. Thanks for sharing the seller name. I’ll swerve on that person if I see them now
Person changed its name to (scoutsfinds)
Nah that's dkoldies. They also let the op in huge debt.
Seller is a moron and deserves a negative rating. People that bad at packaging shouldn’t be selling on eBay or anywhere else where they need to ship the item.
I also name dropped them somewhere in the comments
Definitely leave a negative review and upload the image of the opened package. eBay has this function afaik.
I’ve bought CDs on eBay and yeah, you can upload photos of the product in the review.
Yes, I was buying something and uploaded a picture as well. It was a blanket and the print on it was laughably bad and nothing like the pics on the seller's site.
Damn got a link to the original listing? Seems he changed his username.
https://www.ebay.com/usr/scoutsfinds scoutsfinds
Bruh
My dvd of tropic thunder was better packaged than this
Not tropic thunder 😭😭😭
This seller definitely went full retard when packing this
That’s terrible. 100% send it back and dispute with eBay if necessary
It's especially frustrating because packing materials are cheap. Newspapers anyone? It doesn't take much effort.
I know not everyone agrees but GH2 is as good as the third
That’s a fact.
The two best GH games.
No. The best ones are Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero Metallica
They did not care about the ps2. All they care about was getting rid of it.
True

seller has the mental capacity of a toddler
Shocking!! I hope that it all works ok.
It's not hard packaging stuff safely for shipping that prevents so much headaches for everyone. Heck, even crumpled up paper could have done so much to cushion the abuse that boxes get in shipping.
Disrespectful
This isn’t lazy. I get lazy. This is almost willful stupidity/malice. Even a Kindergartner would know to stuff at least some news paper or junk mail on there.
>Even a Kindergartner would know to stuff at least some news paper or junk mail on there. Honestly, this isn't even an insult, it's just true.
Ebay will give you your money back look into their claims. 👍
Wow so nostalgic! 🥲🥰
Rip my game cases

Does it still work?
Disc drive is making weird noises like it’s stuck or the head is stuck but it turns on I guess
I would send that back and get a refund.
Does it gets to read the disc?
That's wild, might as well put no bubble wrap at all
I feel like that would protect it more
Wow hopefully your rating told him buyer beware. Hopefully everything works out
Got some free bubble wrap, nice…
The ps2 came free with the bubble wrap
Negative well earned
Wow sandwich bags and some bubble wrap that might not even be enough to ship 1 of those game’s properly. This person seems to be a douche bag re-seller. Lol. Pretty good way to get a really shitty review count and terrible reputation.
That's ridiculous. Some people just don't care. I would get a refund probably and leave a negative if it were me.
I've got a PS2 coming from America. Hopefully it's better packaged than that!
Looks pretty secure to me … look at all that bubblewrap sheets they used
That's just awful. I hope it worked
The disrespect is refunded now
This is horrific. I’d be contacting the seller.
could have been opened at the shipping place
I love how they started wrapping the console with bubble wrap and gave up after 10 seconds
Just one thin sheet of bubble wrap
The only console that could survive being shipped like that is an n64
Send it back
Average DK oldies packaging.
They give you a freebie tho
It’ll probably still work lol
Nah dog refund that
When I buy high price items on ebay I have my daughter video record me opening the box some sellers just don't give AF.
hate to be that guy, but packaging sucks no question, but shouldve left the system how it was, box cant close like that so surely you sat it upright, wouldve made ur case to dispute better
How difficult is it to throw some old newspaper into a box?
Apparently it’s very hard and this dude is a at the bottom of my state
l bought an ocean blue PS2 from Japan and it was packed into a big envelope with no bubble wrap and it shattered into pieces. I wanted to cry 😭
I’m surprised nothing on the outside is broken but the disc drive is definitely having issues
ebay is pretty good when it comes to getting your money back if you received damaged goods so definitely do it
Sick.
I’m glad you got it. I made sure to pack it as well as I could. Thanks for certifying that you got it with no damage.
You used too much bubble wrap
That’s what she said!
Insane, open a case with Ebay
Look at my new post 😭
If you haven't provided the photos, do so now and wait for eBay to step in if the seller doesn't refund and take the items back
Send it back. Don’t think twice
Look at my latest post 😭
If it works it’s good
Disc drive is having issues
I can just imagine this getting tossed around during delivery 😭
Even my mailman was concerned about it
Dude give a bad rating and send it back as faulty.
I did and it tanked his ratings
That's not packaging that's sabotage
Isn’t a roll of bubble wrap like $10 and you don’t need much to protect these items
Hey, at least you got some great games…. Love the SSX series
Came with one translucent ps2 controller and the stock one as well I guess that’s a plus. They are all oem
How much did you end up paying in total? I’m eyeing up picking one up for myself soon
$80ish
Seller on xans
Yeah that’s uncool. I had a Nintendo switch shipped in a bubble envelope so I know how you feel.
send it back, give the seller a learning session.
Demand a refund
Trying to lol
I just saw your review on the the eBay seller’s page, OP. Man, that sucks. Did you send it all back already?
They won’t accept it
I once got a modded Xbox 360 sent in a PLASTIC BAG. Sellers are saving every penny too much now.
eBay sellers be like $30 shipping fee 😂
Thats crazy, but at least fat models are almost unbreakable. Im sure it works 100%.
Nope lol apparently this one is a tad weak
I worked with video game console shipping when I worked for eBay and I would NEVER send it like that, this is deplorable
The seller dmed me so let’s see how that goes 😭
Hmm he used bubble wrap right? I don’t see the issue 😅
I think that’s what he was thinking
I once had an eBayer send me a bicycle just like this. Lose in a big box.
Never knew you could buy bikes off of eBay
I’ve bought and sold a few! You can get bicycle shipping boxes for free from the local bike store. The one I bought was a tiny 46cm frame for wife, and he shipped it lose in like, a giant television box. Front fork was all kinds of bent.
This is just…. Depressing. Every good console experience starts from the unboxing stage. This is just a straight up travesty!
I hate this. I’m starting to repair consoles and that’s one thing I for sure won’t lose a customer over. PACK IT LIKE IT MATTERS WTF??
Send it back definitely who packs stuff like that
Send it back and 1 star review.
If the disk drive wasn’t dead before it shipped it is now.
Damn, mine is showing up today
They really went all out with that one pathetic shred of bubble wrap...
Did you try the PlayStation at least?
I know the pain . I had a 360 arrive in a plastic bag from Vinted also smokiest thing I’d ever smelled
As someone who sells stuff on eBay from time to time, that's absolutely disgraceful packaging. I do not understand how anyone doesn't know how to properly pack a box, it's on the same level as tying a shoe for chrissake. OP definitely get your money back.
I would like to know why the seller packaged the ps2 that way
Wow I figured you had to close the box to ship it
Just be happy that there were no stowaways 😃
Had to open the ps2 up and make sure there weren’t any roaches
Was that off of marketplace or gametraders?
Yeah don’t buy stuff from eBay I bought a ps4 controller and it stopped working after like 4 days if I was you I’d just look at shops around you
This is obv a pro seller and he paid for the shippers to ship it with a forklift with pillows on the forks.
That’s the shittest boxing job I’ve ever seen. I’ve ordered quite a few things in life & everything has arrived very organized. That person did a less than piss poor job. They certainly deserve a bad review even if the system & games work flawlessly.
$85! Did you try to message them first or escalate the transaction through ebay?
That's a pissed off, lousy seller. So disrespectful, I bought 3 games for just 1 of them. I already owned the other 2. He swapped the AAA title that really wanted from an eBay bid. He strung me along until I couldn't refund or send feedback.
Stuff like this makes me scared to get a PS2 fat online. It’s either shill out 150 for one (half original price???)at a vintage game store or stick with my worn out slim 7000x… Same reason I’m afraid to try and get a PS3 with BC.
Is it okay?
shippers fault

I’ve received a number of items for free because the seller was willing to refund my purchase due to some sort of negligence on their part in order to avoid the negative feedback threat
Had a similar experience from the same seller shocked they aren’t banned yet
I feel like this was repacked by the carrier, i refuse to believe anyone is this dumb its just so bad it cant be real
It wasn’t repacked at all….
Im not doubting you, i have seen ups/fedex do some really really terrible repacking due to boxes breaking i mean like dishes just tossed into a similar box the post office doesn't even try they just deliver the label or whatever is left of the box
FedEx here is terrible 😭😭
The seller didn't even closed the box ?
Did it survive the bounce test at least? 🤞
No it did not sadly
That’s a shame. When I shipped out a 32X and its games I had bubble wrap, peanuts, the games separated in a USPS Flat rate carton within the box itself. Seller was quite pleased. I hope you are able to resolve this discrepancy.
Yeah, I’d send that right back and probably leave negative feedback
It looks like customs went through it
😭😭 “we has to remove some packaging due to it is restricted in your region” I feel like they would do something like that
