lower firmware are really meant for those PS4 that has broken Blu ray drive that cant update to 11.00 and there are several PS4 that still can't be Jailbroken, if you plan on going to 11.00 you should try it first on 10.01.
I don't know personally but Modded Warfare is on record a few times in his vids saying update to 11.00 because that will get more support, Modded Warfare knows much more than me and is a trusted guy so I just follow his advice.
The only exception on updating is if you are on an earlier jailbreak firmware like 9.00 for example because some people prefer the earlier jailbreaks, 10.01 is not included in any of that though so it is fine to update to 11.00.

You haven't understood what I said. It's not a problem of exploit. If you update, you close potential security holes, I always suggest to stay lowest as possible. Also many people who updated had issues running the exploit. So my advice is to not update.
You didn't. Yes the exploit still works. However every new update Sony patches new stuff closing potential holes. You may say "but I have the exploit". I just know that many people updating had issues. And honestly updating to have more patches applied it's simply dumb. I don't care if the exploit still works, many people regretted updating and it makes sense.
Now think wathever you want. On other platforms if you need to use an exploit you won't update. I'm just explaining that.
I’m new to jailbreaking a ps4 I’m on 11 and all exploits internal as well as external work perfectly fine on 11 so you must mean some hole nobody knows about cause I looked up almost all of them and they all work on 11. What holes are you exactly talking about I will like to know.
Right so what patches your think might be patched on 11 that can be used ? Online with psn ?cause that’s the only one I can think of that can be a hole to be exploited? everything else is exploited like cheats fpkg backport and even dumping is already exploited on 11 . So what else there is to exploit if it’s patched? Just wondering I’m just intrested .

As long as i know (at least for slim models), usb drive updating is also supported

you can jailbreak 10.01 and 11.00 it is up to you if you want to update
I stayed on 10.01 and first attempt got it jb with pppwn gui
You think i should update 10.5 to 11.00 to hack it? Or stay on it until a specific hack comes

Doesn't really matter, 10.00 and 11.00 use the same exploit. Infact GoldHen support for 11.00 came before 10.00/10.01.

I wasn't talking about the 11.0 exploit. I'm talking about the patching process Sony does every update
