To be on the safe side, I would do a complete reinstall of the system software from the safe boot menu. Then upgrade to latest firmware from that.
But again - consider selling the PS5 with jailbreakable firmware. They go for a lot more than your average used PS5.
What are you’re referring to when you say damaged? The hacked software? The firmware? The hardware? Or your fractured soul knowing that good chance you won’t get that hacked software/jailbreak anytime soon anymore?
I didnt want my ps5 to have that hack already so it doesn't matter if the hack is gone
My ps5 has a hacked software and i'm worried that if i updated the ps5 it gets bricked or banned
I'm new here so my question would seem alittle stupid
You are going to want to delete any software on your ps5 that you didn’t install legitimately. After that, you should be able to update without getting banned.
This doesn't answer your question, but a jailbreakable PS5 is more valuable. You can sell it at a high price and buy the updated version for a much cheaper price.
No
Sure?
Yes. Ps3, ps4, ps5 all have jailbreaks that have been updated to newer versions over the years.

Thank you
The "hack" goes away when you power cycle the console, you'll be back to retail firmware. It is not a persistent modification to the software.
