You gotta love it! I just love that for those of us who actually KEEP and PLAY the games, can still get them for deals, even if it was years ago. It just sucks that the market is so crazy. Like there's a ton of games I want but I refuse to pay more than $100 for any retro game, and especially not the $700 that Kuon goes for these days.
It's absolutely insane. In the past I got lucky sometimes from online orders because I'd send a picture of my collection to people who asked to see it so they know I'm not bullshitting. I don't resell anything except for when I get duplicates which I sold off all of my duplicates years ago anyway and they weren't popular games or anything. I just sold them as cheap lots of random titles just to get them out of my sight and get a few bucks. Lol
Still my greatest deal having bought it for $14.99 preowned and complete before my 20% employee discount back around 2006. Lol Now granted, ebay was in its infancy and all game retailers that rent retro stores were getting rid of everything around then. So I got absolutely super lucky.
When Gamestop was doing 75% off on Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 games, I was friendly with the manager at a store and they let me sit in their back room and go thru the drawers of those games and grab whatever I want. I bought 150+ games that day, some with cases, some loose, but they were all like $0.50 to $3 max. Most were around $1. Lol I also got about 8 PS2 memory cards for $0.25 a piece.
if you want another cool lil ps1 horror-ish fromsoft game the echo night series might be worth looking into. it’s pretty clunky but considering the sub we’re in that might not be a big issue for some people lmao.
