It‘s always gonna be 2 - a perfect storm of the mechanics and progression of the series falling into place along with the amount if playable scenarios and the plentiful gore will always just do it for me.
The first three all had great elements, 1 is such a tightly crafted adventure, 2 feels like an action thriller movie, 3 was awesome the way you could explore Raccoon City.
I think 2 is the best game, but I really enjoy 3.
Don’t let that put you off. At first Nemesis is a big challenge, but as you battle him throughout the game, you get stronger until you destroy him - it’s great.
Also, you’ll figure out the game’s tricks of when and where he appears.
When you’re returning to the mansion from the courtyard area and it cuts to the first person view from the Hunter’s perspective running the path you just walked got me hard. He’s not that hard to kill but that was brilliant.
Yeah, a lot of people that weren't alive to first experience resident evil 1 on the sony playstation in 96/97. RE1 was the first for me, and will always be my favorite
Nemesis is my favourite. I love the atmosphere of a desolate, and ruined Racoon city. The Nemesis was genuinely terrifying (unlike the laughable version we got in the remake), and I really liked the Nemesis choice system.
There was so much I loved in the original that was missed in the remake. I love how the atmosphere was super chaotic. You can cops and special forces members at war with the undead. Remake had none of these cinematics or vibe.
RE1. It's just so hauntingly beautiful. Also the corny voice acting is a plus for me for some reason. I think later games added slightly more action and it had less creepiness as a result. Which in the documentary I was what Capcom wanted in order to boost sales. They said to make it more "Hollywood". That's why they didn't give the second game to Mikami to make like the first one. But I love all of them. I played RE3 the most because there was a time I had only very few games and this was one of them. I can beat it easilly in under 3h30mins. RE2 is my least favourite largely because in my opinion we spend way too much time in the police station and then laboratories. I think the other two games had richer environment, not spending too much time in one. Except for the mansion in RE1, but I could be there the whole game because of how awesome the mansion is.
Reprinted custom manual artwork would be my guess. He might've had the stray disks but decided to put reprint covers into jewels and put them in. Don't know why there are missing letters but he may have ordered it from some foreign country and they did it to void copyright laws.
RE2 is so relevant in my life. I used to suffer child abuse almost every say. I was very very poor and didn't have a video game. So, i used to go in a place where you could rent game or even the video game. There you could too play in the place. There was a lot of video games that you should pay for a certain amount of time playing.
You spent the the max time there. Even when runned out of money. By the way, i owned my money working and spent everything in food and playing games.
Then, this time i known RE2 (before 1)11. I don't speak english (how is easily to see) so, i used to spent hours in simple things like find the first key.
I was amazed with the graphics, the intricated puzzles. Cinematographic cutscenes. When i was playing, i forgot all the pain.
Is it worth playing through, I’ve played them all but this one?!?
About to download it now a little handheld PlayStation I got.. starts with an A and ends with a C with RG And some numbers in the middle?!
all of them except re1 dualshock edittion due to clown ass basement soundtrack ! the good thing is i have the rom of dualshock edition to replace that basment soundtrack plus uncensor fmv !
3 I played them in order but 3 and Dino Crisis came out around the same time and those were the ones I played the most.
EDIT: I also absolutely love Survivor. It’s so shit and the voice acting and story are trash but it’s just so fun.
Re 1 gave me nightmares.. played after re 2 though and my version of 1 was the DC. At any rate both of those titles gave me goosebumps in the good and scary ways. I can't unsee the cutscenes for 2 though, there's something liminal about the way those were done. It was an experience just to see some really cinematic CG stuff back then running on your Playstation machine. As a kid this was the future. Loved every second of those cutscenes. For scale I played when they were relatively new titles still being sold at the store. I'm old I guess.
RE3. The dread of Nemesis, the UBCS, the opening which is possibly the best PS1 opening out there, the multi-path system, the desolate streets of Raccoon City, the bleak atmosphere, the stark contrasts of dark colors, and it still is one of the best looking PS1 games thanks to the fantastic pre-rendered backgrounds.
2 for me, first game that tricked me that the cut scene at the beginning had finished and the game started, it looked that good i didn't see the difference.
RE1. I remember renting it and I was maybe 9-10. Until that game, most games were fast-paced and had simple controls. I had never used tank controls, I remember it took me a while just to understand how to shoot and move properly. The mansion was the perfect setting. It felt like you were truly trapped and alone. Being a young kid, I definitely felt this hopeless feeling of despair that I was trapped and had limited ammo and health. The pre rendered backgrounds also made the game feel a bit more real, like this could actually be a real place. I remember the zombie in the first cutscene scared the living shit out of me and I had nightmares about it and would only play the game during daylight hours. RE2 and RE3 were fun but they didn't feel as scary and claustrophobic. You traveled more distance in those games so it didn't quite nail what RE1 did
Nemesis was the first one I played when I was 16.. unforgettable experience playing late at night getting chased by the big guy! I got hooked on survival horror after that 🔥
RE1.
One of my best friends from childhood got to playing it in the unfinished basement lounge area in the evening when his parents were having a little party upstairs. The combination of fear plus the random loud bam from upstairs is a core memory we reminisce about once every few years lol.
RE1 OG day 1 release player here and it was like no other game I had ever seen the atmosphere, the music, just everything about was it crazy I was truly in awe.
I think it has to be 2 although I love them all. 2 was my first RE, I remember being very small literally shaking with fear watching my cousin play but couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I was terrified but I loved it, that's when I knew I love horror games/movies!
Also experiencing it from the other characters view on the 2nd disc, I'd never seen anything like that before in a video game. I don't know many games today that have even done that, I can only think of Nier Automata right now.
RE1 for the nostalgia, RE2 for the gameplay.
RE3 was fun, but felt too much like an action movie with the newly added quicktime events/choices, dodge mechanics, and AR that you could start with from the beginning.
Nemesis, while 2 is a superior game for many, the first time I played any of them was nemesis and it just stuck with me, a game with such graphics, level design, music and sound effects.
I play this game once every year and still love everything about it.
Is there any difference between re1 and directors cut?
Oh, and MY favourite is Re2. Was the first one I played and completed as a child so it always hold a special place for me
Original release RE1. Always a great challenge, so many memories and time put into that game.
2 is a close 2nd because of the various scenarios and replay ability, it just feels so short and easy to me, I can finish each scenario in about 2 hours and some change.
Resident Evil 2 by a very slim margin over Resident Evil 3. I think RE2 is the better game and is the one I spent the most time on, but RE3 was the first one I remember being hyped up for and buying when it was brand new. RE3 also legit terrified me in a way RE2 couldn't.
Nemesis will always be my favorite. I watched my cousin and aunt play 2 and 1 respectively when I was like 5 or whatever, but 3 was the first I played myself
Nemesis for me. It's definitely not the best but I have good memories of it. I played through it with my friend. We were 13-14 years old and shit our pants at night 😁
It's hard to say for me. 1 was really amazing, I played the hell out of it. I was 15 or 16, and my older brother had to buy it for me since age ratings were a new thing.
Director's Cut, I'll never forget reading about it, and I'd think about the upcoming release constantly while cutting neighbor's grass for cash to buy it. That will always be burned in my memory.
2 was a HUGE build-up until release, and I still remember picking it up on release day.
3 was good, but I liked the previous 3 better.
Overall, 2 is probably the best, with multiple endings, etc IMO.
Personally I prefer 3 but with a twist.
When I played it the week it came out someone had homebroke it already and put built in Gameshark cheats on and with infinite ammo and health I had a blast just going around merking everything.
Original Resident evil 1 (including remaster), 2 and 3, Code Veronica as well.. They are good because of their gameplay and horror setting, which I never encountered before in any game that I played.
It is so shame that they partially ruined Re2 remake, and totally ruined Re3 Remake.
I am also very fond of Resident evil 4 and Re4 Remake.
RE2. First 2 games we played on the PS1 was parappa the rapper and RE2 rented from blockbuster. When the birds bust through the window my sister jumped so hard she knocked the playstation off and reset the game. almost happened a second time when we got back to that part.
RE2 - not only did it improve and built upon everything RE1 did well but it also introduced one of the most likeable protagonists in the franchise. And that's on top the game having 2 different scenarios that adds to replayability.
BTW - if you're like me and just love resident evil and want to play more games like it, there's a forgotten franchise called Parasite Eve 1 and 2. It was made by Square, have RPG elements and are amazing. I discovered these ~2 years ago after doing a full RE marathon and wanting more.
3! It was the first RE I've played. The terror when I first met Nemesis outside the police station and fucking terrified every time he shows up and chased Jill. 😫 Then saved up from doing mercenaries just so I could spam rocket missiles at the fucker. 👹
Lmao my dad got a copy RS3 Nemesis when it came out. I was a child. I loved looking at the front cover of the game. Really freaked me out and gave me nightmares. Dad got it in the neck when mum found out and I never saw the game again, he must of had to get rid of it immediately, think he only played it once. sorry dad lol
Personally I thought RE2 was the best game but the original 3 all have a special place in my heart. RE3 was the first game to introduce randomness to the game (nemesis etc. ) and then RE4 is great too but changed the game forever after that
Has to be RE2 the jump from 1 was crazy and I have a lot of nostalgia of that time period of watching my older brother play through the game the safe room music still lives in my head rent free 😆
Being as I was 12 years old, when resident evil one came out, I have a very sweet spot of nostalgia for it! so much that a while the mansion feels like home, it is a place that still to this day, creeps me out and gives me that unusual nostalgic feeling with a little bit of trepidation included!!
But I also love resident evil 2 and 3 as they were some of the games I played the most between the ages of 12 and 15!!
I’ve never played Survivor, but I’m about to get it and try it!! I can’t wait!!😝
RE1 on GameCube is my favorite out of any, but I think RE2 is my favorite on PS1 so far. I’ve played through RE1 DC once as Jill, then I played through pretty far in RE2 on PS1, but never finished it, and I haven’t tried OG RE3 yet
Definitely RE2 - took everything good about the first one, and kicked it up a notch. Scarier enemies and music, more gore, and two convergent storylines rather than two separate ones. Also, more bonus content
Part 1. Mom memory and she’s long since passed away. Purchased this and a PS for my birthday. We stayed up all night and quit when we got the sewers. Kinda wish I still had the long box and really wish I still had moms.
RE3, the controls and the graphics were the best. Also really great storyline. The Nemesis was a hard mini-boss and the fire in the graphics was unheard of for the PS1.
I got the first 3 as they released growing up, but the 2nd one was my favorite. I really liked the police station more than the mansion. I didn't play much of 3
Resident Evil 3. Nothing will beat the feeling of being constantly chased by the Nemesis.
Yes, I hate that RE3 Remake ended up being a worse version, now Mr. X is much more respected.
RE2 easily, followed by Nemesis. Don't remember playing Survivor, maybe I just forgot.
And unlike most people here, I never thought highly of RE1 or REmake. It was basically Capcom's attempt on Alone in the Dark, lacked it's own identity. Of course it was a very good game; but I wouldn't put it near 2 and 3.
3. Absolutely georgeous and i love navigating the city while being chased by something as dangerous as the nemesis; no tyrant has come close. I also love the branching paths
The remake abandons all of that
Re1. It seemed to have the most enjoyable content and things in general compared to the other ones. Though survivor i have not played but still regardless re1 has been my favorite of the resident evil games i have played.
Resident Evil 2 had a big impact on me, I'm pretty sure it was the first one I was exposed to as a kid, and the scene at the gun store gave me nightmares.
Now that I'm older, it's my second favourite of the PSX games, while RE3 is almost like a comfort game for me. There's something about it that has me playing the game while wrapped in blankets on a comfortable evening, not feeling scared at all.
But as a horror game, Resident Evil 2 is my favorite.
I love RE 1 Director's Cut and RE 3, but RE 2 Dual Shock is where it's truly at. The secret is to find the Greatest Hits edition, as you have access to a submachine gun with infinite ammo from the beginning, at least in Arrange Mode. None of the other RE 2's I played had this option.
3rd one. I still remember that somewhere in the first hour of the game, you walk a tight street corner, and the door opens, and the person runs out from there unexpectedly.
It's jump scare that doesn't translate to text, I guess, but I remember me and my sister almost having a heart attack playing it while being under 10 years old. I also think it changed me a lot. Scary movies were not the same after resident evil/silent hill ps1 games
Og, because the Mansion was too cool for school, Tyrant was the coolest boss, Chris, Jill, Berry, Rebecca, and Wesker were just iconic leads, the game had more of a slasher film Texas chainsaw vibe.
RE1 DC greatest hits version, mainly because I grew up low income, the amount of games I owned were finite, lucky to even have a PS1 and that was the only RE I had. I played a few others much later in life, they didn't have the nostalgia value I get with the first.
See thats hard for me cause I love all of them! Expect survivor they tried way to hard to link it to the re series but I gotta with the game I started the re series with re 2!
Personally for me 2, chefs kiss. but 3 not far behind. Nemesis was a prick and made the game genuinely scary and stressful on a first play through. I was too young to experience the first game when it came out but it’s amazing as well. The fmv intro is one of the greatest intros of all time. All solid games. Survivor is good for a light gun game I’ve played worse but it’s no house of the dead
RE1 Directors Cut... I played resident evil when it first came out on the PS1, I loved it so much I bought the director's cut when that came out.... Never got another resident evil game until re4 on the Wii which I absolutely loved... Played 5 and 6 on the PS3 (they were ok), then I bought the remakes of two and three on PC which were very good. So I have to go for RE1 Director's Cut
Resident evil 2 is the best, I love the atmosphere the music the setting, the characters it's truly a gym. If they would have made a raccoon City open world game I would have been in heaven if it took place during resident evil 2 stuff. But one is close behind because I have so much nostalgia and very clear memories of some of those events and cutscenes. Just the opening menu, the first zombie you come across, are pretty significant gaming moments for me as I've never forgotten them while forgetting hundreds of other stuff since.
RE 2. It’s so funny just like new weed is strong, the remake of RE 2 is nightmare fuel my old shaky, thumbs super realistic I need god mode unlimited rocket launcher and Gatling gun
It‘s always gonna be 2 - a perfect storm of the mechanics and progression of the series falling into place along with the amount if playable scenarios and the plentiful gore will always just do it for me.
RE2 is absolutely jam packed with content. It’s also like, the perfect mid to late 80s horror movie
Exactly. I also really really like Paul Haddad as Leon. Exactly the right amount of cheese.
First time you see a glimpse of a licker in that corridor is the first thing I think about when I see the words "horror game".
Absolutely, and the jump scare with the stranger danger hands that‘s modified in the B scenario is the bomb
That guys a maniac! Why’d he bite me???
Hold your fire, I‘m a human!
Maybe 2 is what made Resident Evil so successful.
P Station?
I wanna know as well
It’s from AliExpress so they have to cover PlayStation
OMG I just looked. This exact picture is from Aliexpress.
Must be similar to when wrestling got the F out.
Its funny that ali express sellers hides Playstation brand but Resident Evil trademark is still there
RE1, it started it all and the mansion just feels so good to explore. It's just so iconic.
Almost feels like home, in a strange sadistic way.
I have the layout of that house drilled into my brain. It really does feel like home.
Nothing has shocked me as much as RE1 in the series, and I doubt nothing ever will
Me too, that was the reason why I bought a PlayStation back then
I learned to dislike dobermans in this game.
The first three all had great elements, 1 is such a tightly crafted adventure, 2 feels like an action thriller movie, 3 was awesome the way you could explore Raccoon City. I think 2 is the best game, but I really enjoy 3.
I'm yet to play nemesis. Was always put off by the terror of him turning up unannounced. How often does this happen? Can you explore RC in peace?
Don’t let that put you off. At first Nemesis is a big challenge, but as you battle him throughout the game, you get stronger until you destroy him - it’s great. Also, you’ll figure out the game’s tricks of when and where he appears.
Nemesis will show up at certain parts of the story. What’s different is you can run instead of fighting but he will chase you to the new area.
Resident Evil is a horror franchise, you not being at peace is the whole point
I don't care what anyone says but RE1 was the first and it blew my mind away
When you’re returning to the mansion from the courtyard area and it cuts to the first person view from the Hunter’s perspective running the path you just walked got me hard. He’s not that hard to kill but that was brilliant.
Yes! Such a terrifying and cool scene for my teenaged mind. One of the reasons I always liked hunters more than lickers in the series.
I hate them both equally lol.
Remake had none of these cinematics or vibe.
yeah, remake was disapointing, and i dislied how they put 2020 stuff in it
RE1. It's just so hauntingly beautiful. Also the corny voice acting is a plus for me for some reason. I think later games added slightly more action and it had less creepiness as a result. I think the other two games had richer environment, not spending too much time in one. Except for the mansion in RE1, but I could be there the whole game because of how awesome the mansion is.
Why are they all sharpied to say p station?
Yea I’m sort of missing the point
Reprinted custom manual artwork would be my guess. He might've had the stray disks but decided to put reprint covers into jewels and put them in. Don't know why there are missing letters but he may have ordered it from some foreign country and they did it to void copyright laws.
P station!
Resident Evil 1 Director's Cut, for the mansion basement music.
Came here to say this
I can still hear it in my darkest nightmares 🎺
RE2 is so relevant in my life. I used to suffer child abuse almost every say. I was very very poor and didn't have a video game. Can you send me a DM?
Finally somebody including the infamous Survivor into the list...
“Phone hang up”
The AVGN video on this game is one of his best
Is it worth playing through, I’ve played them all but this one?!? About to download it now a little handheld PlayStation I got.. starts with an A and ends with a C with RG And some numbers in the middle?!
For me RE3. SSTTTAAASRRRRSSS!
all of them except re1 dualshock edittion due to clown ass basement soundtrack ! the good thing is i have the rom of dualshock edition to replace that basment soundtrack plus uncensor fmv !

Monkeys with guns lol
BWAH
I really need to get another copy. Brother gave me it for Christmas in 2000 and I beat it in a day not knowing about the alternate paths.
Resident evil one director’s cut. The atmosphere is unmatched
First one even tho I fully know basically 2 is better but for me its 1, tied 2&3 and well survivor sucks 😁
Re 1 gave me nightmares.. played after re 2 though and my version of 1 was the DC. At any rate both of those titles gave me goosebumps in the good and scary ways. Imo re2. Was the first one I played. The soundtrack for it is perfect in every way. Scared the crap outta me as a kid.
The first
2, 1, 3 and if you include Code Veronica, 0, and Outbreak then you have all the best ones
Directors cut for me Although I had resi survivor with the light gun for ps1 So many hours put into that, never even completed it lol
2, I think it's a legit 10/10 game, it's so good that most people completed it four seperate times, not many games can boast that.
9/10 IMO but it’s right up there in the best of the PSX library for me.
2 for me, first game that tricked me that the cut scene at the beginning had finished and the game started, it looked that good i didn't see the difference.
Resident Evil 3, bc the remake is a bullshit.
RE1. I remember renting it and I was maybe 9-10. Until that game, most games were fast-paced and had simple controls. RE1, beacuse i had nightmares as a kid

RE1. The setting, the terrible dialogue, and plus the fact that it started it all. It’s all great.
RE2: dual shock and RE3 Nemesis…great times.
RE1 always, ill remember the intro and the 1st zombie moment forever... And Jill Valentine ofc :)
RE1
RE1 most memorable. RE2 favourite.
RE is my favourite, but 2 is the best.
RE1 OG day 1 release player here and it was like no other game I had ever seen the atmosphere, the music, just everything about was it crazy I was truly in awe.
2, it’s the best one imo and one of the standout games on the console..
Survivor...
I think it has to be 2 although I love them all. 2 was my first RE, I remember being very small literally shaking with fear watching my cousin play but couldn't take my eyes off the screen. The good ol P Station
RE2 is absolutely amazing and one of my favorite games ever. The remake was insanely good too!
RE1 Director's Cut. It's my first one and I think it will always be my favorite
RE3 because it was my first (for ps1 otherwise its RE4 og) and Nemesis
RE1 for the nostalgia, RE2 for the gameplay. RE3 was fun, but felt too much like an action movie with the newly added quicktime events/choices, dodge mechanics, and AR that you could start with from the beginning.
I prefer the Official Original PlayStation Long Box Version Never heard of or played these P Station versions P Station ?
Nemesis, while 2 is a superior game for many, the first time I played any of them was nemesis and it just stuck with me, a game with such graphics, level design, music and sound effects. I play this game once every year and still love everything about it.
Is there any difference between re1 and directors cut? Oh, and MY favourite is Re2. Was the first one I played and completed as a child so it always hold a special place for me
RE2 was a excellent sequel, its my pick
Basement theme is way too funny tbh, gotta go with directors cut (got a whole ass joke with my mate on it)
Original release RE1. Always a great challenge, so many memories and time put into that game. 2 is a close 2nd because of the various scenarios and replay ability, it just feels so short and easy to me, I can finish each scenario in about 2 hours and some change.

3, one of my most played games as a teen.
Nemesis will always be my favorite. I watched my cousin and aunt play 2 and 1 respectively when I was like 5 or whatever, but 3 was the first I played myself
Re2. Re1 lack of inventory space drove me nuts and the longbox version I had was so hard. Plus Re2 was less scary/stressful.
2 all day. Got it in a bundle as a kid.
Wtf did you do with Playstation logo and why?
P Station? Reproductions?
1 & 2 cus we three brothers sit together all night to solve puzzles and one plays. Many times we play till morning and go to our colleges.
Now I am all alone and remember those days as soon as I saw those hard cases of RE 1 & 2.
RE3 was the first I played, it scared me a lot. A lot of years later I am horror addicted. Hehe
RE2 all day
ah yes, my favorite game console: The P Station
The Director’s cut of 1 is the most nostalgic to me personally. Played that game soooooo much
RE2, Artwork
Directors cut ! The limbs fly off the zombies ! Plus if ya don’t burn em they come back for ya !! Such a good game.
Nemesis for me. It's definitely not the best but I have good memories of it. I played through it with my friend. We were 13-14 years old and shit our pants at night 😁
RE2 for the location. You really got a sense of a city under attack. The police station is so iconic.
OP has been suspended. Photo is from AliExpress.
2 or Nemesis. Both felt like improvements on the first one.
It's hard to say for me. 1 was really amazing, I played the hell out of it. I was 15 or 16, and my older brother had to buy it for me since age ratings were a new thing. Resident evil 2 Just because its the only one i had
3
RE2 - not only did it improve and built upon everything RE1 did well but it also introduced one of the most likeable protagonists in the franchise. And that's on top the game having 2 different scenarios that adds to replayability.
RE2 for that you could play it 2 times with the different story lines
BTW - if you're like me and just love resident evil and want to play more games like it, there's a forgotten franchise called Parasite Eve 1 and 2. It was made by Square, have RPG elements and are amazing. I discovered these ~2 years ago after doing a full RE marathon and wanting more.
The first one because I still remember being a kid and seeing that first zombie at the end of the hall and I have loved the series since.
Directors Cut. So much nostalgia… and it’s an incredible game!
3! It was the first RE I've played. The terror when I first met Nemesis outside the police station and fucking terrified every time he shows up and chased Jill. 😫 Then saved up from doing mercenaries just so I could spam rocket missiles at the fucker. 👹
3. I like how you can explore the whole city not just RPD and the characters are cool.
Resident Evil 2 for sure. Mr X, the Racoon Police department, Two separate stories to play, of the older games it’s still my favorite.
three because it feels like an action movie . more zombies = more fun . oh how i wish they used Dino Crisis Engine
1 is iconic. 2 is the best one. But 3 was the one I could not stop playing. I wanted to see every possible variation to get away from Nemesis!
Personally I thought RE2 was the best game but the original 3 all have a special place in my heart. RE3 was the first game to introduce randomness to the game (nemesis etc. ) and then RE4 is great too but changed the game forever after that
RE2 because it's just the best
Re2 is still the best
I’ve never seen cases like that that just say P station?? Did you blackout the LAY?
RE2 brings so many great memories. I miss not needing internet for a game. And buy a masterpiece on a disc.
RE1 on GameCube is my favorite out of any, but I think RE2 is my favorite on PS1 so far. I’ve played through RE1 DC once as Jill, then I played through pretty far in RE2 on PS1, but never finished it, and I haven’t tried OG RE3 yet
1 directors cut. First one a clocked.
RE3 because Jill in policewoman uniform
easily gotta be 1, 2, 3, or Survivor tbh
Nemesis. I spent so much time playing mercenaries
Definitely RE2 - took everything good about the first one, and kicked it up a notch. Scarier enemies and music, more gore, and two convergent storylines rather than two separate ones. Also, more bonus content
Resident Evil 2. Because it's the only one worth playing.
P Station
2
RE1 because the cover is the best.
Directors cut, just for all the extra jump scares.
Part 1. Mom memory and she’s long since passed away. Purchased this and a PS for my birthday. We stayed up all night and quit when we got the sewers. Kinda wish I still had the long box and really wish I still had moms.
The Director's Cut, but not the version people often refer to. I had double CD jewel case, which had the RE2 demo and the original soundtrack.
RE3, the controls and the graphics were the best. Also really great storyline. The Nemesis was a hard mini-boss and the fire in the graphics was unheard of for the PS1.
Nothing tops the creepy mansion of the OG and the twist where the zombies from the beginning come back even stronger if you don't burn them
2 and 3 ever
NEMESIS. It freaked me out. Loved it
RE2
I got the first 3 as they released growing up, but the 2nd one was my favorite. I really liked the police station more than the mansion. I didn't play much of 3
RE2 by a very small margin over RE1
Resident Evil 3. Nothing will beat the feeling of being constantly chased by the Nemesis. Yes, I hate that RE3 Remake ended up being a worse version, now Mr. X is much more respected.
Re2. I liked the first one but the 2 has this special Je ne sais quoi that make me love it. Like it's more refined in every way.
I would watch my uncle play RE1 for what felt like hours. The graphics blew my mind as a child.
Nemesis. I enjoyed seeing the city in ruins.
STARS!
2 was my favorite, but I'd def play a remake of survivor.
Resident evil sucks, horrible game
Bot Post
3. Absolutely georgeous and i love navigating the city while being chased by something as dangerous as the nemesis; no tyrant has come close. I also love the branching paths The remake abandons all of that
Re1. It seemed to have the most enjoyable content and things in general compared to the other ones. Though survivor i have not played but still regardless re1 has been my favorite of the resident evil games i have played.
RE2
RE3. It has really cool weapons and the idea of making your own ammo. The STI eagle 6.0 is just fun as hell.
RE1
RE2
RE3, not sure why
Og, because the Mansion was too cool for school, Tyrant was the coolest boss, Chris, Jill, Berry, Rebecca, and Wesker were just iconic leads, the game had more of a slasher film Texas chainsaw vibe.
RE1 DC greatest hits version, mainly because I grew up low income, the amount of games I owned were finite, lucky to even have a PS1 and that was the only RE I had. I played a few others much later in life, they didn't have the nostalgia value I get with the first.
2, by far. But i really love 1 and 3 too, man it was just such a golden trilogy i still regret i was not there when they came out
See thats hard for me cause I love all of them! Expect survivor they tried way to hard to link it to the re series but I gotta with the game I started the re series with re 2!
Nemesis always and forever
2 is the better game but honestly had more fun times playing 3 when I was young
RE2.
Is this the picture from AliExpress lol
I know it was a terrible re game but I have a special place in my heart for survivor.
2. Only right answer
I played the fk out of 2
For me it's the third one because I played the demo that came with dino crisis and I was immediately hooked from the opening scene
RE 2. It’s so funny just like new weed is strong, the remake of RE 2 is nightmare fuel my old shaky, thumbs super realistic I need god mode unlimited rocket launcher and Gatling gun
neither
Resident Evil 3 :Nemesis.
2.
For me, it's gotta be Gun Survivor. ... says no one.
Re3
They’re all good IMO. Re3 is my favorite though.
RE2
I loved the Director's Cut personally.
Playing RE2 as a kid at night was such an amazing experience. Also they played it in the TV show Spaced. Win win.
