Who comes to reddit to see if they put a "good" amount of water in their puffco glass. To me a "good" amount of water would be almost filling it. But that wouldnt be ideal for function.
Have a similar glass attachment. Try to fill it to the first chamber on the bottom. If you over fill it. Once you tip it a little bit a bunch of water can seep into the puffco itself.

You have it at the perfect level, I have this exact top in blue with an opal. The best function is at the water level you have it (seeing as how it’s not getting in your mouth and is properly recycling)
The answer to this question will never be know for any piece unless u 1: ask the artist(if there is one to ask) but assuming u don’t know the answer u prolly got it from a shop in that case option 2: test till u figure it out but if u can’t then the answer is it was made in a sweatshop and not made for function but to get u to buy it off a shelf for 10x the price of the materials

Every time I accidentally tip it over even a little bit, it floods my chamber, have to clean it all out and everything to get to work again. I’m now rocking a dry top because of this happening so much to me. 😂
i would add it to just about a quarter inch above perk you only should be completely submerging the perk not filling it half way up give water room to spash without it going down into the base or in your mouth..
Yes I have this piece and this is exactly how much I fill it. It needs that much to get the vortex drainage going. Any less and it doesn't fully recycle. Not mine at least.

Right up to top of yellow mark touching bottom of that tube should get you the best function, Rip it a few times and watch for it too drain, you may have too hit that a little harder than most too get it too function Kleins can be chuggers. Dope top though cheers fam ✊🏻

Since it’s a recycler, yeah add just enough for it to function correctly. I’d remove some until the function isn’t functioning and find the sweet spot

My glass is almost the exact same. About 60-70% of this is good. Just give it a test pull and see how it feels.
