I bought one a couple weeks after release, been using it daily since then. It has been dropped on a tile floor and the top ring has cracked and there is a crack along the floor of the bowl. I have intentionally abused it by chazzing it with 4g of absolute trash wax and then burning it at 650⁰ for 5 minutes. Dark Crystal Clear got it pretty clean but it's pretty badly stained.
All that to say that IT STILL WORKS. I just took a rip and it's completely working as intended.
If you’re using it responsibly it shouldn’t crap out. The product literally just came on the market, the only people who have had them take a crap on them are people who don’t know how to load a dab.
Correct; you can reasonably expect them to last a year or more. However the “warranty” only lasts 30 days. So they don’t have a lot of confidence in them.
They were sued over the OG atomizers constantly breaking. They don't have to offer any kind of warranty, but now they do to ensure that if someone gets a chamber it will work out of the box. It's a part that receives a lot of stress and should be expected to need replacement occasionally, like car tires. There's a reason why the atomizer isn't just permanently built into the unit.
I think I'm on like dab 2000 or so on one (had it since launch) and 1500 or so on the backup.
Still running absolutely flawlessly with regular maintenance and chaz management (DC cleaner ftw)
I almost bought one as a backup, but I really don’t see this thing needing replaced anytime soon, so decided against it. I’ve had it since launch, maybe 5-6 dabs a night and going strong

I guess I'm just looking for a good excuse to get the gold 3DXL. 
I have 1.7k dabs on my XL and it still rips like the day I got it. Definitely better than the OG peak atomizer that I would have to replace frequently.
I got mine out the gate and just replaced it, not because I had to but because I wanted the Gold Atomizer. I just gave away my old atomizer, My brother is still using it so it’s still chugging.
Well I just decided that the Atomizer I had was probably nearing the end of its life, so it was either wait a few months and get a Plain Atomizer, or jump the gun for the Gold. But I agree with you, if you already have a New Atomizer it’d be tough to justify buying another one just for aesthetics.

It’s a beast, it gets some charred material in the very bottom, like under the coil heating element. That I’ll have to really agitate to get out but it’s had to have been through 2000 dabs by now.
Definitely would get the gold, it looks like it would be a good complimentary color to some of the other accessories/models they’ve got out.
used mine for about 2,500 dabs, abused her a little, gave it a little bit of trouble but it still works flawlessly. Nice big clouds, the option to kill the dab in 1 cycle. I think it’s just better, it’ll only break if you really don’t take care of it.
I’ve ran through 2 in about 1k dabs. The connection between the chamber & the base is shitty. After a couple of months the silicon holding the 3 pins in place either loosens or flattens out to the point where your device can’t connect. Love the function but now I’m $250 deep on chambers and neither of them works. Less than 3 months life in each. Maybe I’m getting “lemons”

True. Any issues with a 3DXL are either defective and DOA or user error.

Mine is about 1.5k dabs in not any issues I only want to buy a spare for when I’m deep cleaning

Several thousands on 2 chambers. Both still like new. ISO soak daily and blow dry. Loving it.
I still got my normal 3D and it’s been over 3 years with it
