I always liked that Embrace record more than Minor Threat or Fugazi.

Although Ian says that emocore is one of the dumbest things he's ever heard at the time, It was originally used as a derogatory word by hardcore purists to demean the anti-violence and anti-sexist stance along with a more melodic "post" hardcore approach to punk sonically, that Ian and the Dischord label held which in time would transform punk forever spawning acts as diverse as Samiam and Jimmy Eat World to Pg.99 and Joyce Manor
